Description of Work: After purchasing a deal on Angie's List, te company was supposed to contact me. They didn't, so I called them. Sleep set an appt with a 4 hour windows for arrival. The technicians performed the inspection as described. The downside is that it cost an additional $180 to clear the primary drain, which was my initial concern and the only issue they found. I don't know if this is a fair price, but it seemed a bit steep to me.

Description of Work: I bought a big deal for 2 hours of electrical service and it took almost a month to get an appointment. When I did get the appointment I was told they couldn't do the work I needed without me ordering more parts and of course my $111 would be wasted. They did what they could and were very nice, but ultimately the trouble and money cost way more than the services I received. I will probably never do a big deal again because it seems to encourage businesses to overpromise and create massive demand that they cannot keep up with in a short tine, ultimately causing quality to suffer. I was more frustrated to learn they were already running another even cheaper big deal after admitting they couldn't keep up with the work they were already buried with. This tells me speedy electric chose a quick buck over a good job.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $99 for Two Hours of Electrical Labor. They did a fantastic job. They were punctual and I was satisfied with the job.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal from them for a 20 point air conditioning tune-up.

Description of Work: I am installing new cabinets in the kitchen, and needed a new wall plug, as the other might be covered, Even if it isn't this extra plug will help. | The guys went up into the attic to check the wall and running wires. They were professional and cleaned up after them selves, even to the point of dry mopping, now that was extra service!

Description of Work: Where do I begin? The technicians showed up and started immediately to tell me a refrigerator in a garage cannot be plugged into a GFCI because it will trip the GFCI. I asked to have the GFCI replaced because every time it rains it trips. It has never tripped in dry weather. I was told a motor will arc and cause it to trip. Say what? Doesn't half of the house holds have a situation like this? Second, a hand-held hair blower will do the same thing as the refrig in the garage and trip a GFCI in the master bath. Once again, who does not have one of these devices in their bathroom and plugged into a GFCI? Isn't that the purpose of a GFI in a bathroom? It shouldn't trip just because it rains. It has never tripped in dry weather. Again the GFCI only trips when it rains and they told me it trips because it has a motor that will arc. C'mon!! They didn't try to figure out if a part of the circuit may have a weather exposed plug that could cause tripping when it rains. These guys didn't even bother to turn off the breaker in the panel and it "blew". An arc tripped the breaker the dangerous way when they removed the old GFCI. If they were injured or killed as tragic as that would be, I wonder whose insurance would pay for such carelessness. They hung a new fan and re-located another. They scraped a wall with a ladder and left a black mark on the wall. Left all the wire remnants laying around. After they left the residence, I realized the wall toggles for the fan and light were reversed. Now the switch that once turned on the light now operates the fan and vice -versa. This happened in both rooms where they worked on fans with light kits. That is annoying when you are used to operating a fan and light for years a certain way. To top all of this, the "helper" asked to use our bathroom just 20 minutes after arriving. I don't know why they didn't access a bathroom in a commercial establishment before arriving at my house, but I consider a service person asking to use a customer's bathroom facility shortly after arriving is unacceptable! I wished I paid a little more for a company who has better trained technicians and who respects the customer's domain. I will never use this company again!

Description of Work: They did a decent job. The only challenge is the fact that the two pendant lights weren't centered to the width of the island. They centered it to length. They were definitely speedy, but I wish they were a bit more thorough with centering.

Description of Work: I chose to do the special $99.00 for two hours of labor. I had my pool light GFCI to replace and a motion light I wanted to update. They got both done in the two hour window with no issues. Only thing I marked them down for was professionalism and only because they weren't uniformed. I'd use them again, no doubt.
