Description of Work: Even though the ad for the coupon states that it can be used to install bathroom exhaust fans, they told me that since ducting had to be run, that fell on the HVAC side of their company and I could not use the coupon for that. Was told to return the coupon and just pay out of pocket for having the ductwork run. Scheduled the HVAC side of their company to come give estimate for that. They gave me a 12-2 window. They called at 1:30 to say they weren't going to make it until after 4pm. They rescheduled me for two days later since I was not available after 4pm. I used this company and the coupon once before and everything turned out great. But this time around, that's not the story.

The customer rep you talked to was correct that exhaust & venting falls under the HVAC (Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning) department not electrical. We do however apologize that we did not meet the appointment for you estimate to get the exhaust fan installed & vented. During the summer we do have to prioritize people with no air conditioning, however, the office should have had better communication with you. Description of Work: They installed (3)outlet plugs;(2) fans and a bath light. It went very quickly but the only thing is that their sales information did not mention paying for an extra person which was an extra $75.00. Still, all the same, it was more economical than the last electrical service I used that was (1) person at twice that amount. Well worth it. V.M.

Our usual cost for 2 men for one hour is $150/hr, and the job required an additional 30 minutes of labor. I just wanted to clarify that you were not charged extra because of having two men on the job, rather because they went over the allotted time. Thank you for taking the time to review our business. I was surprised to see that you were unhappy with the job cost, so I did some research. In looking at your customer history, I see where Brian went to your residence on January 28th to quote the job. His job notes show that he quoted you $200 to add 3 new outlets and replace 2 plug plates. On January 30th, our invoice shows that we only collected $175 when Michael and Andrew completed the work. We stand behind our estimates, and unless there are unforeseen circumstances encountered during the job, we will never charge more than quoted. In those cases, we will always give the homeowner the option to decide how to proceed so they are not left with a bill at the end that was larger than expected. So, as you can see, we actually came in under the estimated cost. I sincerely hope that this explanation has clarified any concerns you had. Description of Work: Checked out AC unit outside; inspected central air unit in garage. Replaced a part on the unit in the garage for $125. All work seemed thorough, necessary and was done in a timely manner. The 2 gentlemen who came were professional, courteous, and answered all my questions while they worked on my AC.

Description of Work: I purchased two 20 point Air Conditioning Tune-ups for $39 each as I have separate units for downstairs and upstairs. I am purchasing the home and wanted to make sure that units were working at max performance. The technician was thorough, knowledgeable and honest. It was determined that one unit needed coolant which was not a surprise because the Inspector had stated that it might. That is where the additional cost came from.

Description of Work: we scheduled for a Nest thermostat install and to hook up an outside outlet. This company previously installed our Nest and due to a couple of schedule issues with weather, the things we needed done were discussed a few times. The tech showed up and informed us he "didn't do thermostat installations". Really ?? then WHY did they send him? And if they as company no longer does this, WHY didn't someone tell us? Now we have to spend another service call with an another company to get this installed. They were very good last 2 times we have used them, but I think we will find another company for future needs. A waste of time and money.

We are disappointed to hear of your dissatisfaction with the service call completed at your residence on May 1, 2015. At the time the appointment was made, we were instructed that you needed outdoor outlets installed. This is the reason the appointment was rescheduled due to rain. Most interior electrical jobs could have been handled rain or shine. Also, because of the explanation, we sent an electrician, not an HVAC technician. If a thermostat was being installed, regardless of brand, we would have sent a technician that could handle both. That being said, because of the issues involving that certain brand of thermostat, we prefer not to install that brand any longer. In looking at the electrician's notes, he did perform the electrical work you needed, without charging you a service fee, because of your repeat business. We only charged you for the exterior GFI outlet and the waterproof cover. Description of Work: I bought 2 hours worth of electrical work for $99. When I called to schedule they said it is 2 people for 1 hour, then $150 for each additional hour. I was concerned it was going to be a large bill for minimal service. i did not appreciate the attitude of the person who I was making appointment with. I have recently bought an Angie's List deal for plumbing which ended up being very costly. Please refund my money. Thanks

We are disappointed to learn that you were not satisfied with your purchase. Our standard charge for electrical is $100/hr for one electrician, and $150/hr for two. The Angie's List Big Deal is a discounted price, and the details of the deal are very clear. "Here's the Deal: $99 for two hours of electrical labor (one worker for two hours or two workers for one hour depending on the scope of the project)" Based on the information provided, we could have most likely done what was needed with two electricians within one hour. It is our policy to be up front with the homeowner to make them aware of the potential costs for overages. We do all in our power to complete the work in the time purchased so as to avoid extra costs, and to keep the scheduled day running as planned. Should you wish to schedule your appointment, please call the office. If you desire to cancel this deal, and need a refund, please contact Angie's List.
