The first person who came out said it was the breaker box and he said he had fixed it. I had to go to work therefore I trusted that all was ok. When I returned home that evening I noticed that it still did not work. I immediately called Speedy Electric and let them know that it was not working. She told me the young man said he could not check it because there was no light bulbs which was not true because if had l left the bulbs in the bathroom and let him know they were there and I was also home and if he had forgotten I was there and he could have asked again.

Thank you for posting your review. We apologize that your experience was not satisfactory. However, we did make attempts to correct the situation. After learning of your concerns, we sent another electrician out to take a second look, and he realized that the fixture was not actually working. The original call was for no working electrical in the whole restroom. After resetting the breaker, the electrician secured some loose connections on a ceiling heater/exhaust fan, and attempted to trouble shoot the remaining fixtures. He was not aware of the extra bulbs, and simply tested to make sure power was coming to the fixture. At this point, he should have been more proactive and asked about additional bulbs, and for that we apologize. Once we were made aware that the fixture was still not working, we sent another electrician out at no cost to diagnose the specific fixture. On this visit, he realized the fixture was not working, and advised you that it would need to be replaced. Because fixtures are so specific to the individual homeowner, we advised that if you would purchase the fixture, we would return either on the weekend, or late one evening to make the repair to avoid additional time off work for you. We made this repair, at no cost to you, and were under the impression that you were satisfied with the repair. We stand behind our work, and will do all in our power to make sure the customer is happy. Two electricians came out on Friday, in the window as promised. After looking at what we bought and what we needed done, they offered to come back on Monday, buy the correct items for us and do the work then, rather than waste valuable time going to store to switch out, etc. On Monday, two new electricians came out, in the window as promised. They did a great job. There was one light that was installed without connecting to the ground wire, but we called them and they are coming out this week to fix it. Over all, we were very satisfied with the employees and their quality of work. We would definitely use them again.

I purchased a 99.00 for two hours of electrical service from Speedy Electric. I was able to get a service call scheduled within two days and they arrived within the 4 hour window. The technical was very knowledgable and went right to work. I know that the faster he gets through the call, the more money they make but that did not make him sloppy, just efficient. Through his methodical troubleshooting, he quickly found the short and repaired it. Then proceeded to check every point of electricity on that circuit to make sure it was all back on line. Since that took less than an hour, I asked him to look at another circuit which he was very willing to do. Turns out that one is in the wall and will require a lot more work which I was not ready to do. He buttoned everything back up and was on his way. The reason for a B on professionalism is this: If I have one slight ding it would be that he did not replace the outdoor light fixture after testing it. I suspect he simply got into a hurry to leave but it could be that since it does not work, he may not have seen the point of reinstalling it. I would have liked to have the wires returned into the cover and sealed up from weather. They were just left hanging and capped.
Description of Work: Tracked down an electrical short from the breaker box to its point of origin. Also troubleshot a second circuit which had also stopped working due to a dead short.

We were originally scheduled for in the morning but the technicians were stuck on their first job of the day (commercial) and it ran well into the afternoon. Once they arrived, the gentlemen went right to work and completed my list in just about the two hours I paid for. It was good. They were okay. They did get back with me pretty quick. They got here on time. The major thing that I liked about them is they explained everything to me in layman terms because I had wanted a couple of outlets in certain places and they explained to me why they couldn't be that way or I wanted them how much it would be which was kind of cost overhead because they would have to drill into the wall. So I would understand why it wouldn't be feasible and it would be feasible but awfully expensive.
