My wife and I recently recognized that we needed to paint our house. So, as would be prudent we asked some of our friends for references. We were fortunate to have received three bids, one that was the very expensive, and two that were mildly priced. We decided to go with Lewiston and Sons. When the owner the of the company came out for the appointment and made his presentation and what was included as well as their company policy, I must tell you I was impressed in a positive way, and the bid happened to be the least expensive of the bids attained. The decision was to use your company to paint our home. My wife and I were at home most of the time the preparation and the painting was being done. I will tell you, labor by your crew easily exceeded what I had expected from start to finish. WE found no need to interfere or instruct your crews. It was a pleasure to work with you and your crew on our painting, and we thank you for that. I believe I shared with Pete on one occasion, and his son peter, that Barbara and I have were both very impressed with your attitude, skills, complete professionalism, and performance of your company, and for that we thank you as well!

First of all, these 3 guys have been working together for some time. They have a system. They take pride in their work and were not in a hurry. When I interviewed other competitors, many said they could do it in one day. (and it would have looked like it) They are very meticulous with a system of quality control that I was very impressed with. In certain instances, each painter has a designated task which must be done before another task can be done. If something is missed or overlooked, or not done correctly, they make it right before moving on to the next step. Although these were minor things, it was their attention to detail that impressed me the most. I am the original owner of my home and can say it looks better now than when it was new. (14 years ago)

I used this company due to reviews I had read and recommendations from other former customers. They responded via phone immediately, came out to our home within a few days and gave us a complete proposal and began work within thirty days. The wait time between proposal and actual work was due to a full workload which they had cautioned us about up front. Using a company like Lewiston who have such a fine reputation in the community is well worth the few days wait. When they began all repairs were made exactly as promised. They even found some hidden damage, brought it to my attention and we agreed on the extra fee to repair these things which was quite reasonable. They spent a total of 10 days at our home. Clean up each day and at the end of the job was perfect. Everyone connected with this company showed a high level of professionalism and top knowledge of their craft. I wouldn't hesitate a second to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of home remodeling.

The did a Fabulous job! Are awesome to work with, we plan on using them again for the master bathroom in spring. They are timely, responsive, and did exactly what we asked for. They did a great job cleaning up and putting things back in order at the end of each day so we could continue to live in the areas. Do not hesitate to have them do work in your house. They are the very best!!! We highly recommend them! The accomplished the job in the time frame I had hoped for, and that with a ice store in the middle of the job.

Excellent! Lewiston and Sons were prompt, highly professional, efficient, and experts at their craft. They pressure washed the house, then caulked and patched rotten areas, replaced Hardy board where needed, and painted the house beautifully. The guys cleaned up at the end of each day, kept their supplies in a central location, picked up trash, and even threw the ball with our dogs. Very nice and respectable team!

We are very pleased with the quality of work done, as well as with Pete and Peter's punctuality, working habits, and responsiveness to our needs and questions. They arrived for work around 8:30 each morning and worked very hard. The drywall damage was expertly repaired. I will also use them to repaint the house exterior later this year.

During the estimate and even after, they were very helpful with answering all my questions and addressing any concerns. They did an excellent job getting the house ready for paint to include cleaning and caulking. The new siding and the door install was done professionally and looks great. I was concerned with the type of paint and if they thinned their paint. They used a really good quality Sherwin Williams paint that provided a thick and even coat of paint. They were very professional and great to work with. Will definitely call them again for future projects.

I have a 2-story house. Pete and his workers first replaced rotten wood around garage and back windows, decorative wood at front (used Hardie), and all the chimney wood (used Hardie). Then they prepped the exterior for painting (sanding and power wash). Pete replaced the front and back doors while his team painted. The last part was digging new post holes (through limestone), cementing the posts in, and erecting the fence and gate. Pete installed a turnbuckle on the gate to add extra strength and prevent saggin. It was the little extras like the turnbuckle, attention to detail, and keeping me informed that really impressed me. I would definitely use him again.

This is the fourth time we have used Lewiston and Sons for interior or exterior painting. They are always very professional and friendly, and they operate their business with integrity. They show up when promised, are pleasant to deal with, and do a quality job.

Extremely well. Pete Lewiston came out and surveyed the job. We discussed and agreed on how much repair was needed. He explained what would be done in preparation for painting and asked if spray application was acceptable. The soffit and siding was sprayed with 1 coat and the fascia was hand-brushed with 2 coats. His crew was neat, clean-cut, courteous, and extremely professional. They were very thorough in preparation, caulking, and priming. They masked carefully and did not overspray. They used much better paint than "contractor-grade" and the bid included the quality of paint to be used. They cut off 3 porch columns that had rotted at the bottom, installed risers to prevent further rotting, and finished the installation with 1x6. We could not be happier. This is the first painting crew in 24 years that really cared about what they were doing, took pride in their work, and really worked hard to provide a very high-quality job. We recommend Lewiston & Sons to everyone.
