It didn't.
Description of Work: Sent by the Home Warranty Company, we had a flood for the second time and they sent this vendor to run a camera through our pipes to locate the problem. They came and ran the camera and found the issue. They said they would work up an estimate and get it to us in order for us to turn it in to our insurance company. Three weeks later, no calls, no call backs, and no communication what so ever. We have left several messages, as has our insurance company. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism, and I would encourage anyone to ask their home warranty company for any other vendor. We will be using another plumbing company, thank goodness we have not had another flood while waiting around for these guys.

Gilbert's Roto Rooter was requested by the home warranty company to look at the plumbing problem on Wednesday, on Friday i had not heard from them to look at the problem. They did come out on Monday, but then I did not hear from them again. Even though I tried to contact them several times. The home warranty company contacted them too find out what was going on and didn't get any response from Gilbert's Roto Rooter either.
Description of Work: Provider did not respond quickly to the service request. When finally came to look at what needed to be done. I did not hear back from this company about a quote or any attempt to provide service.

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!! They were forced on us by my home warranty company. The first time I contacted them, they said they would be here by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. They finally showed up at 8:15 that evening, and were here for approximately 10 minutes. After breaking off a piece of the ceramic filter in the bottom of the water heater, he stated he was done and we'd be good for another 3 years or so. This was on a Tuesday, and by Friday, the problem was back. I did a recall on the service Saturday morning, contacted the company at noon, and they said they'd be out as soon as possible. Called at 8:30 pm, and he said they would definitely be here. No call, and they never showed up. Called at 8:45 Sunday morning, and they didn't answer my call. Called from my husband's phone at 10, and not only did they answer, they told him they'd be here within the hour. We called back at 12:15 and at 1pm and they are now not answering our calls or returning messages.
Description of Work: Attempted to get the pilot light to stay lit on my hot water heater.

When cleaning under the sink, we noticed we had a leak. We called Gilbert's about 11 a.m. and they said the could come out the same day. This was extremely important in that we had no inside water. I was getting concerned about 4 and called again to confirm we were still on the list....and two techs arrived at 9:30 p.m. An older gentleman and I am guessing an apprentice and the teacher when through the entire process of repairing the leak. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. They were efficient and cleaned up after they completed the job. This was my second time to use Gilberts. The same firm replaced a Hot Water Heater for us in May, 2012 and again they were most efficient in getting the tank out and the new one in. Our builder did not make it easy to access the water heater.
Description of Work: Replaced 1/2 x 3/8 angle stop on the cold water side under the kitchen sink.

I had one of the most horrible experiences of my life with them. They claimed that they couldn't find my main line in the backyard and I'm disabled so I couldn't go out there with them. I felt very taken advantage of when they said they couldn't find it, and I explained to them where it was. They had me against a wall because it was three o'clock in the afternoon and they said that for them to try and find it, it was going to cost me $225, plus the $75 service fee. He finally said that he could come down to $180 but I told him, I was already paying off a lot of medical bills, and he didn't flinch. he just kept saying it's your call, just very rude. They didn't wait for me to give them a key to my gate, and literally drilled the gate latch off just to open the gate. Then when they went to put the gate latch back on they took one of my patio tables and put it in the corner of the yard to jump the fence, and they left the table over there. When I finally told them to go ahead with finding my main line, within two to three minutes they told me they found it. They still went ahead and charged me the $255 and they weren't even here an hour. That's more than a plumbers hourly rate. I've had them before and I was just semi-satisfied with them, but it was because I had them replace some faucets. I had used them back then because they were slightly less expensive but then they tried to charge me more and I had forgotten about it.
Description of Work: Gilbert's Rapid Rooter Plumbing came out because both of my toilets clogged up and one of them overflowed.

My water heather did fail an start to leak. have a home warranty and they contact this service to have the water heather replace. After several phone calls and re-scheduling (because they didn't show up), the heather was replace. I did like the quality of their job, but the scheduling management needs to improve. If they work on that I think they will improve their business. On comment from them was that the home warranty companies swap them with orders.. Well, If they not their work load capacity they should start to say no.. and keep costumers happy. Ahh.. One note... My home warranty company basically wash their hands about the service.. I tell you this as soon their contract is done they are gone....

Use had used them twice to fix a leak, we called them out in Oct for a second time. They response was very slow, we had to wait until 10pm. They Plumber did not know what he was doing. We had to clean the leak up ourselves, they left a huge mess. The worst part was that we could not get in contact with the owner at all.

They came out to change a handle on the toilet which took under 15 minutes. Since I was under my hour I asked them to go ahead and switch out another part in a different bathtub. I had to pay for the parts, which was fine. However, when they billed me they charged me $127 for the labor plus my parts for a total of $150. The morning after they left we didn't have any hot water in the bathroom they worked in. I have called them to get someone out to fix this issue but they keep telling me someone will be out and no one has shown up for a couple days now.
Description of Work: They have a service charge of $85 per hour to fix drains/faucets. I called them out for this reason.

I had a bad experience. They had a coupon in the phone book; it was $75 for a drain service. I had used them one other time; they cleaned three drains for the $75. They said it didn’t matter how many drains they cleaned, it was always $75. I called them back the next time and I told them I had a coupon. They charged me $75 for the first drain and $45 for each one after that. Then I asked them about changing a faucet handle because it was broken off. They didn’t give me a price; they just tore into the wall. That part cost $300. I was really blind-sided because I had used them before and I thought they were reasonable. I felt very deceived because I was expecting to pay $75 for the clogs and then I was expecting $150 for the faucet. They didn’t ask me if I was aware it was going to cost that amount to fix the faucet.
Description of Work: I used Gilbert’s Rapid Rooter to clean drains and to replace a faucet.

Great! I called our home warranty this afternoon(Friday) and was told that the plumber would get back with me to make the appointment. They showed up at our house 2.5hrs later, it was great to be serviced the same day I called!!!
Description of Work: Replaced drain under bathroom sink & plunger assembley. I don't know what they would have normally charged but we have a home warranty so $60 is all we had to pay.

I wasn't to happy with the service they provided. They were here about 5 weeks ago for a sink that was stopped up. They told my wife the pipe was busted but I was able to fix. After getting under there I didn't fine a busted pipe. I called Gilbert's Rapid Rooter Plumbing and they wanted to come out with a camera and show me where the pipe is busted but I told them I fixed it and the sink is draining fine.

HORRIBLE! Customer service was nonexsistant. The Technician was confrontational and rude and they damaged property and are refusing to take resposibility.
Description of Work: First of all this service was scheduled throught our home warranty company so the cost is our copay! They were scheduled for 3/1/2012 in which I took the day off for, they never returned any of our calls (7 of them) to confirm that they would or would not be there that day even thought the office assured us they would and assured us they tech would call us back! They showed up 3/6/2012 at 8:30 PM unannounced. The call was to repair the faucet in our bath tub, after about an hour of banging and hammering they announced they were finished told us our cost and was ready to make a quick exit when I went in to inspect the work. I found that they had left a huge mess on the floor, water everywhere, and on the right side of the faucet they broke one of the ceramic tiles. I questioned them about it and the first tech commented something to the effect "we gotta good tile guy that normally comes behind us", he went out to the truck and then the second man comes in and says that they are not responsible for "secondary damages" and that "we will not pay for the damage you need to call your home warrant company". After I threatened to persue this further he then said that "that damage was already there, it was covered by the other plate". The service was VERY POOR, the customer service was nonexsistant, and the service techs were "sneaky", trying to get out before someone noticed. I would use EXTREME caution using this company.
