+ -1 moreThe overall experience with them was not that good. One job remains to be finished that they said that they were going to do for months and then in addition to that the gentleman has cut down some 30 year old tree to put a ladder there so he could get in top of the building and he didn’t ask me if he could cut down tree, so I wasn’t happy about that. I actually used them for rental properties but it has been two months that he started the job. Their price was a little bit high. They weren’t that very considerate with respect for my property and in addition to that they didn’t finish the job. I was not happy at all. The first job they did for me I was very pleased with.

+ -1 moreProvider agreed to prep the exterior by power-washing the painted surfaces, scraping the old paint from the wood surfaces, sanding, priming the wood, painting with exterior house paint, caulking windows and other gaps in the wood surfaces. The house is a one-story brick home with wooden gables. Provider said that he was giving my mother-in-law a senior discount due to her age (she is 103). He agreed to do this for a full fee of $3,500. He said that he would need an advance of $1,750 to buy the paint and equipment he would need for this job. Provider was given a check for the $1,750 advance from my mother-in-law. Provider was to start work in mid-July. Shortly thereafter, we got a call that he was demanding another "advance" of $750. We refused to pay him this second advance. We got reports from the caretaker that stays with my mother-in-law that the Provider was not scraping and sanding the wood surfaces as he agreed and was using an interior paint on this job. We talked to one of my wife's brothers, who lives in Abilene, Texas. who drove to Midland, Texas. to check on the progress of the paint job. He inspected the job and although he did not feel the job was up to the standard, we expected, he approved payment of the balance owed on the original contract price of $3,500. My wife and I have not been to Midland yet to inspect the workmanship so I am operating on hearsay about th quality of the job. We were very disappointed by the reports that we received about the poor quality of workmanship and the sloppiness of the job.

+ -1 moreIn the first couple of weeks they didn't work 8 hours a day. After agreeing to half up front and half at the end he continued to ask for advances. He was very messy and got paint on everything including a brand new Harley. Had to remind them daily on the same details. Very sloppy job painting. Doors and trim are different colors and didn't complete everything as ageed. End result we are going to have to have all the doors and trim repainted.

+ -1 moreWent pretty well. They seem to have a small budget to work with. The man kept sending his wife over for little more money every day or two. The painting was pretty good.

+ -1 moreVery horrible. It took us a week to get most of the paint off of the majority of our furniture. They ruined our sofa with paint. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! If you hire them do not pay up front and buy your own paint.
Description of Work: We hired double TT Painting to paint 7 rooms and a hallway (walls, trim, and doors) for $3000. We were told they would be done in three days. He said they would be here at 8 o'clock on Friday. He came by to get or colors on Thursday the day before they were to start. On Friday they showed up around 9:30 then left to go get the paint. He returned around 10:30 and painted until 11:30 and left for their 2 hour lunch. Some of the colors he painted didn't match the samples we picked out. Then worked until 3 o'clock, he told us he would be back at 8 am, and went home for the day. Saturday they showed up at 9 and worked until 10:30 when he asked for an advancement and went to lunch. During their lunch break his wife called us and said they were looking for an air compressor cause their's didn't work. They returned around 2 without a new air compressor. They textured our entryway and the hole that needed to be patched. And left at 3:30. Sunday he called me at 7:00 to see if he could start work at 8 am but didn't show up until 9 am. They left for lunch at 10:30 and returned at 2:00. His helper and him almost got in a fight in our living room. They left for the day at 3:40 and said they would be back in the morning. We told them we both worked until 5 pm every weekday. We also told them we needed the house to be livable due to the fact that we have a 8 month old baby. All of the crew smelled like cigarette smoke so bad our house smell like smoke when they left. They left our house a mess everyday, and when we started our normal daily routine we noticed paint on everything. Paint on our sofa, brand new kitchen table, stove top, fridge, all over the floor, cabinets, counter, moldings, door knobs, sinks and faucets, and windows. We called later Sunday and told the they were fired. He claimed we still owed them money for the crap work they did. It took my husband and I 2 weeks to fix everything they messed up and we still are working on the trim and doors. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK!!!!!!!

Description of Work: This company provided an estimate and stuck to it. They were prompt each morning - and for at least two weeks they worked through the weekend. They found some places that were damaged by water - alerted us to it - and then came back to paint it after it had been fixed. We think they are the best and will use them again!

+ -1 moreCame out very punctual and gave my husband a bid. When I called him to start the job he gave me a slightly higher price. On the first day of the job he calls me to tell me it's a bigger job than he thought and wanted to double the price of the estimate. I told him to stop what he was doing. Then he decides to do it for the orginal bid. He did not negotiate for 1/2 down but wanted that on the 2nd day. And wanted advancements throughout the week because he was "broke". If you can put up with all of that, the work he did was actually good.

+ 0 moreThye job went so well, I see areas inside the home that I will probably call him back about to come out and do the work. This is a good find!
Description of Work: After calling several other painters for estimates and ending upn not pleased with the results, I was lucky to find Fernando at Double TT Painting. He was punctual, professional, had great attention to the details needed for the painting of the exterior of my home as well as replacing trim. He was thorough and obviously a perfectionist. He and his helper worked very hard and completed the entire job in just two days. This covers everything: the trim replacement, the caulking, sanding, brush and spray painting. (I provided the materials.) I highly recommend this painter as he gets the job done well and quickly. His background with commercial work also speaks well of a good experienced painter who also is very kind and dedicatd to his work.
