It went very poorly. They took our ice machine for repairs, but never did hear from them. After about 6 months, I called them and inquired, only to find out they had forgotten about our ice maker. It took another 6 weeks for them to get it back to us. We were then billed an unexpected $245.00 for a machine that was on warranty.
Description of Work: They came out and took my ice machine to be fixed.

I'd searched for a washer that allowed me to select my own water level. I also wanted and old fashioned agitator. Those are hard to find. Clarks had a great Speed Queen model. I got the washer and drier. They had to switch the side on which the drier door opens. It was a little hard to manage. They sent a service man right away to correct the issue. I have also had their service department work on my Bosch dishwasher. They fixed it just right. It's a small independent store. They do a good job.
Description of Work: I got a new washer and drier.

I looked and looked for a new washer and drier. I wanted a washer that allowed me to manually adjust the water level. I try to be conservative, but I want to be in control of the water level. Really dirty clothes don't come clean unless you have an adequate amount of water. The staff at Clark's understood my concerns and directed me to a Speed Queen set. I have been so very happy with them. I did not want the new, high efficiency models. I wanted a plain ole washer and drier that worked like I wanted it to. After delivery, I noticed the drier door was hard to close. A service man was dispatched and the problem was fixed. I recommend Clark's to my friends.
Description of Work: Delivered new washer and dryer. Made a separate service call to adjust dryer door. They have also fixed my Bosch dishwasher in the past.

The freezer portion of my refrigerator stopped freezing. I contacted Samsung and they put me in contact with Clark's Good Housekeeping. Two days later the repeaiman came and did a factory reset. It did not fix the problem. I played phone tag with them for a week. I exchanged messages with the repeariman, spoke to several people who couldn't find me in their system and dealt with messages not passed along. It was right before Christmas so I just figured it was holiday craziness. I left town for Christmas, then receieved a call on December 27 from the repairman needing the serial number and model number for the refrigerator so he could order a part. I was out of town, i had one of the numbers, but not both. I told him I would call him back on January 2. When I returned, I called and gave the exact number I had given on December 27. Then I spent a month waiting for a call to schedule repair. When I would call to check on progress, the receptionist would tell me that she would call when the part came int. She eventually got rude and would scold me. Eventually, February 2, she told me the part had never been ordered and the ticket had been closed. She ordered the part at this point, two weeks later the part came and two weeks later they came and replaced the part. It fixed part of the problem but not all. Two weeks later, after I had given up spring break plans, the repairman came to my house to replace another part and had the diagnosis. He got on the phone with Samsung, figured out the problem and determined that the refrigerator had to go to the shop. Two weeks later, the part had come in and they came and took my refrigerator. They did not offer me a loaner. They did not give me any idea how long the refrigerator would be gone. After a monthe, I called and it was ready and they brought i back on May 2. The delivery guys told me it had been ready for 3 and half weeks but the information card had fallen off. The refrigerator functions fine now but it took four and half months and the communication with Clark's was horrid. Two different receptionists were tude to me and a third repeatedly failed to pass on messages.
Description of Work: Factory reset. Replaced motherboard of computer. Replaced cooling system of refrigerator. (This part was covered by warranty)

Description of Work: The first repairman came to fix my front load washer on 11/20/12 . He didn't have a clue so told me I needed To clean the drain (which I have always done on a regular basis). Then he sold me a product he said would fix all my problems.Which was absurd since my problem was the water continuing to fill tub and not shutting off unless I turned water off at wall. I had a house full of company so decided to let it go until after T'giving. I called again .They sent out same inept repairman who didn't have a clue. He called someone who talked him through something and he misdiagnosed it again so he said he would order some part which took 2weeks to get here. I called several times getting the run around. Finally the part came in. I asked for a competent repairman to come this time. A professional skiiled tech came and diagnosed something different. Again a part was ordered. After a week I called to check. Again they didn't have a clue. Finally did some searching and found the part had come in. The competent tech finally came and hopefully knew what he was talking about and what he was doing..We will see. He just left. I think people can judge for themselves after reading this review.

My 88 year old parents hired Clark to fix the slow running water on their washing machine. Never even checking if the washer hose filters were dirty, he claimed their washer was running fine, and charged them $85.00. When my parents told me of this so I pulled the washing maching out and removed the hose ( which hadn't been done by Clark) and checked the filter. It was clogged up. For $10.00 I bought a new hose and filter and fixed the machine myself. It runs GREAT now!

Jeremy, the sales person was quite friendly and I actually enjoyed hearing about his family. He mentioned how much he enjoyed working for this owner, Mr. Clark, who was fair and allowed him the freedom to do his job without constantly looking over his shoulder. It seems that many of the employees have been there for a long time (a good sign). Overall, my experience so far has been pretty good.
Description of Work: I purchased a reconditioned dryer. The place was rather dusty and unorganized but was told that they are moving things around and they apologized for any inconvenience. After speaking with the reconditioned sales person, Jeremy, he spoke at length about all the dryers. I chose one and they were offering to deliver immediately and I declined asking them to deliver the next afternoon. They were only about 10 minutes late and called to be sure of my address. They removed my nonworking dryer, hooked up the purchased dryer and were on their way. After using the dryer on the second load, I discovered some problems and called them (which was on a Friday after 5:00 p.m.) They returned my call and said they would come back by on Monday. I told them that was inconvenient as I had quite a back-up of laundry to do. So they said they could come by Sat. morning & bring a replacement while they worked on my purchase on Monday. Monday afternoon they arrived unannounced with my purchase repaired and retrieved their replacement and were on their way in about 15 minutes. So far I'm quite impressed with their promptness.

The service excellent as far as the service but the time waiting on parts just takes too long. I took me 3 weeks to have an ice bucket replaced. I had to call them at least once a week.
Description of Work: Warranty work on a refrigerators and a freezer two separate times.
