Description of Work: My heat wasn't working in the back of the house. I called them on Sunday, they came out on Monday and fixed the problem it was igniter switch.

Description of Work: We called them to inspect and clean three A/C units. The past companies we used never took this long to complete the job (twice the time expected). Each unit needed freon and cleaning; however, the technician seemed beyond thorough and downright slow. After the job was complete, he attempted to add to the job cost by saying he would have to charge for his time which was longer than expected. I pay by the job and spoke with his supervisor by phone. The final bill was reduced to the original cost of the job and the freon. Although there is no way to prove he did not check it during inspection, a week after the service the primary condensation drain pipe (in the attic) backed up and failed, causing a leak through the ceiling onto the hardwood floor. We did not file a complaint or claim against the company but instead had our plumber clean out the clogged drain pipe. We do not trust this company to enter our home again.

Description of Work: Installed new 2-ton Trane Furnace and Air Conditioning System and disposed of old unit. The work included replacement of several items that were part of the old system and not suitable for use in the new one such as a concrete slab, thermostat, etc. I received a prompt bid for the basic system and for several additional items such as an extended warranty, inclusion of a more efficient unit which came with a $300 rebate. The work began and ended on the day scheduled. They returned at no charge the next day to make sure the system was behaving properly and to make several adjustments. They had taken advantage of some 22-year old plumbing to carry off the condensation, and the outdoor overflow pipe began dripping. They sent another technician to investigate, and he found that some of our plumbing traps that the main drain was tied into were clogged. He cleaned the traps beneath two sinks, charged nothing, and assumed the problem was solved. It wasn't, so they were back again the next day and actually replaced some of the PVC pipe and added a moisture trap to capture and drain condensation without allowing it to overflow into the emergency drain pan. Again, there was no charge, and the unit has been performing flawlessly ever since. I wan to stress that this narrative is a complement rather than a complaint. Every problem that arose was the fault of our 22-year old house and not the system. Throughout problem diagnosis and repair Walker personnel were helpful, prompt, and professional. These are the kind of people with whom it is a pleasure to do business.

Description of Work: Diagnosis and repair of A/C system: Outside compressor was not working. Problem turned out to be short in power supply. Technician (Joel) quickly diagnosed and repaired the short, then checked entire system. Also cleaned outside compressor coils at my request.

Description of Work: Central A/C was blowing, but air wasn't cooled. I thought it might have been a Freon problem. It turned out to be a flipped breaker to the outside compressor. The technician checked everything and recommended that the breaker be upgraded, as the compressor was pulling a lot of amps at start-up.
