It couldn't have gone more smoothly, professionally, or efficiently from start to finish!

Our A/C was blowing warm air. Walker was able to work us in that very day, Even though we were a new customer. The temperature was 100 degrees! It turned out that we needed a new unit. The repairman was very thorough in explaining why we needed a new unit, that helped us understand the situation, of course, it is not something you want to replace unless you have to. They were able to work us in on Sunday morning (one day later). It took 4 guys about 3 hours to tear out the old unit and replace the new one. I felt they were very fair in their price and we would definitely use them again.

Rep was on time, clean, highly professional and quick to note the leak was from the roof and not from the over flow pipe. Highly cost effective, honest and upfront; plus even offered me the early bird inspection coupon as well and saved big time. They'll have my business form now on as a very happy customer on Angie's List.

Very knowledgeable sales rep who provided detailed explanations of a wide range of choices. Crew arrived on time and did a professional installation: all work clean and tight. Big expense, but it should last a long time and save a lot on energy costs.

Technician came out within 2 hours at 9pm. Punctual and professional and fixed the problem. It was expensive for the evening service call ($149) but I think that is fairly standard.

He checked outside and then went into the attic to check the indoor unit. He found that a relay had gone out for the air conditioner. He checked a little further and discovered that the heating unit would also not fire up. He gave me alternatives to replace the relays only or replace the entire board. With his help, I decided to replace the relays only. He also made sure that the system was ready for winter and the best part...he replaced the filter which was on my list of thingsto do. In addition, I was please that he put boot covers on when he enterd the house because the yard was wet since the sprinkler system had watered the yard that morning.

Excellent, Richard W. was very patient describing units that fit my needs and finances and let me know of financing options. He was attentive and always responsive. His crew was excellent in installing the unit, left the house in perfect order. The crew was very nice and arrived promptly when promised. I highly recommend this firm.

5 days prior to this service call, on a Saturday, my A/C quit working because the evaporator coils were frozen. I left a voice mail on Walker's after-hours line and the technician-on-call phoned me back within 10 minutes and gave me the three most likely reasons the coils had frozen, the first of which was a clogged filter. I checked it while he was on the phone, and sure enough, it was *really* dirty. The tech said in most cases changing the filter will fix the problem; he gave me a quick rundown of their prices; and said to please call him back if the filter swap didn't fix the issue. It did, for 5 days. Then on Thursday morning the coils were frozen again, darn it. I called Walker around 10:00am and they said they were booked for the day, but would let all the techs know that if any one of them finished up early that I was needing A/C service ASAP. She said she couldn't promise anything. But by about 2:30pm I got a phone call from Tab Hill, who came out right away. His inspection was thorough, he was incredibly nice (and funny!), and he answered my many, many questions in detail. He told me my evaporator coils were covered in dust and debris, and then showed me. He explained that there are three levels of evaporator coil cleaning: Manual cleaning with a soft, circular brush; a chemical cleaning done by spraying a canned solvent onto the coils; and, lastly, the Big Daddy of them all - removing the coil assembly entirely and giving it an acid bath. He priced them all out for me and then helped me choose the right one for my situation: a manual cleaning. It was also the least expensive. I have six cats and a dog, and he explained that pet hair will form a kind of mat on the outside of the coils and then dust collects on the pet hair. Also that because my coils were so recently installed (2007), it was highly unlikely that any oils would have accumulated between the coil blades, which is why the higher levels of cleaning were not needed in my case. I merely needed to have the dust-and-pet-hair mat removed -- and change the filters often! -- and I'd be good to go. Tab even gave me some great tips on what filters to use for my custom-sized furnace air intake that will save me a *ton* of money on replacement filters! [Thanks, Tab!!] After cleaning the coils Tab double-checked the refrigerant level for me and it was fine, which was a relief to know. He also let me know that if Walker comes back out within 30 days, there will be no diagnostic / trip charge. In our conversations about the proper frequency of filter replacement, Tab revealed that he has 4 or 5 dogs and one cat, and they're all rescues. So not only could he give me a first-hand account of the need to change out the filter - sometimes as often as every two weeks - but he also got a Seven-Paws-Up approval rating from the [all rescued] furry members of my household!

It was excellent and I would use them again.

Both service calls were handled professionally and courteously.

Technician arrived on time. I wanted to reolace the thermostat with another one that I bought. Problem arose when we discovered there was no 24 volt supply wire. In stead of suggesting a rewire ( at considerable cost I imagine), technician went into attic and used one of the existing wires to connect to 24 volt.

The job went great. They called me 20 minutes before the technician arrived. He worked on the inside unit for awhile. He was very quiet and hard working. I appreciated that as he was right near my home office door. He then checked the outside unit and completed the job. After he was finished he showed me what he did and all of the dirt/animal hair he removed. I was 100% satisfied.

Honest. Great to work with. Punctual. Could have used age of furnace as a replacement reason, but didn't. Really like their punctuality, cleanliness, honesty.

They were very prompt. I have a tiny crawlspace which is a pain to get into. They went ahead and completed the work. They did it much faster than I expected. When he came out to give an estimate he recommended adding a vent in our bathroom and he did that for no extra cost.

They were very responsive and punctual. We would absolutely use them again.

I was very pleased with Calvin's attention to detail. He arrived, inspected the furnace, gave me the information I needed, plus some helpful information about my A/C. He took plenty of time to answer my questions and explain the details to me, as well as my options. He said that a salesman would be calling me on Monday, and indeed one did call me.

Air went out on Saturday night, called Walker AC on Sunday afternoon. Repairman on call returned the call within an hour. Told him the outside heat pump unit was not working and had an electrical smell to it. He said he could be here in about an hour. Advised us the weekend call would be 139.75. We were OK with that. Calvin was here on time. Checked the unit outside thinking it was a capacitor. Turned out to be motor. Calvin said it was fixable and he could replace motor (had one with him). Checked freon, it was OK. Was finished in about 1 1/2 hours. Told Calvin we got the name of his company from Angie's List. No mention of any discount, it was a weekend call so might not have warranted a discount. Calvin was a nice guy and very professional.

My a/c unit froze up and was not cooling. This happened on a Saturday morning. I call @ 8:30 a.m. left a message. They returned my call and arrived within 2 hours. The tech took a look and determined it was one of two things. Needed freon which he put in and we were good to go. No hard sell, no hassle and no drama; I appreciated that. The tech knew what he was doing and just did it. How refreshing is that.

I was pleased that they could schedule a call only three days from when I called them, since I would have to take off work. I asked for in the morning since I had a washer being delivered and another service call scheduled that same day and didn't want to be stuck around the house all day. I was told the time window would be 8:00 - 11:00 AM. I called them when they had not appeared at 12:00 noon. The lady I talked to was very appologetic and said she would have somebody out immediately. She also said they would give me a 10% discount. When the tech arrived he checked the indoor unit, replaced the filter and capped the condensate drain. He then checked the refrigerant level, checked to see if the unit would heat since it is a heat pump wrote me a bill and left. The company I used to use would do all that and clean the condenser coils for $20 less. I was not impressed and will look for another company next time.

They were professional and knowledgeable. They were willing to answer any questions we had. They were also very competitively priced.

I can honestly say that I didn't fully trust the Angie's list rating (thinking it could be "influenced"), but was I wrong. They did an excellent job and everyone I delt with was very honest, customer service oriented and professional. I was amazed at the great job they did and the cleanliness in which they did it. Everyone from the office folks, sales folks and installers, treated us fairly with patience and detailed information. I really am happy with the install, the quality of the product and the overall experience with Walker.

As a result of a routine inspection on my 17-year old Lennox heating unit, I discovered that the heat exchanger in the furnace had a 2-3" crack and the whole HVAC equipment needed to be replaced. I solicited bids on a complete replacement from three A-rated service companies listed on Angie's List with Walker being one of them. A Walker representative(Cory)came out and worked up a quote to replace the unit with a new Amana unit. Cory did an excellent job of addressing all the concerns that I had like insuring the installation would be done in a very professional manner. Although Walker did not get the job, they did an great job of quoting it and would be well worth considering for any heating and air conditioning work.
