Although this company is very courteous and employees are professional, they lack any common sense and will cost you time and money. I have used this company a few times now and this seems to be a consistent issue. The first time, they installed a leak defense system in the middle of my yard and placed a plastic rock on top, which looked obvious and terrible. In addition to paying the initial fee for install, I had to pay an additional $500 for them to come back out and reinstall it against the wall. Today, I had them come install pop-ups for some of my sinks and they didn’t check to see if the pop-ups had all parts before installing so I had to pay for removal of old drain, install of defective new drain and then reinstall of old drain. They offered no apology or discount so I ended up paying for 1.5 hours of work for NOTHING. I would not recommend this company.

The tech determined the toilet needed a new supply line and replaced it. He told me that the lead connection to the sewer line had failed and would have to be jack hammered out and replaced. Riddell would send me an estimate and another crew would have to do that part. He left the toilet disconnected, and charged me $240 to basically replace the supply line. The estimate subsequently came in at $2800 and it would be $950 more if they encountered the concrete beam. I would also have to hire someone to replace the floor tile after they were finished. I got a second estimate from another company to do the repair that the tech described and it came in at $2500. I hired them. When that tech arrived, he said the lead pipe was fine and didn't need to be replaced. He never bad-mouthed Riddell, but I could tell that he was not impressed by their diagnosis of my problem. He and his helper replaced the flange. They also rebuilt the toilet for me, as well as replaced the sink drain, which wouldn't seal. The total bill for 4 hours labor and parts was $836. I was without that toilet four 4 days. By not using Riddell, I was not overcharged for an unnecessary repair. I cannot stress strongly enough that I will never consider Riddell again. I firmly believe their techs are probably on commission and some of them will cheat you.

So glad I was referred to Riddell. Everything was perfect - fit me in & great staff who got to work and finished the job much quicker than I expected. RP is the only firm I'll use going forward!

The flapper was changed but it needed a new handle as the old one wouldn't work properly. The tech suggested that I purchase my own and install it rather than have them order it and install. I did but still not 100% satisfied.

Everyone from Riddell was professional and worked well with the other trades on our project. They took my design and made it a reality. We will only use Riddell now for any service issues and future projects. Thank you for a very nice product!

On time, as promised, no issues. From the office staff to the installers they were very pleasant to work with.

The plumber that came made a false diagnosis but when we called later before we had any work done the project manager or whatever said that he diagnosed it wrong so when they came out they didn't do the work that the other one had proposed and then the same individual came out again and he didn't do it right so we had them again and they basically came out two or three times and didn't charge us anything. So they were making up for the mistakes and then when we had them here last the person who came out here took care of business it was fine and he admitted that the plumber that we had last, falsified that he was an actual plumber and he wasn't good at what he was doing. But they made it right so they eventually sent someone who was more capable out here to take care of it.

We were getting water in a bathroom sink and it kept raising and sinking almost overflowing and we kept emptying it and then it would overflow again. It turned out that it was the air conditioning condenser line was broken or backed up so they fixed it. We had the on call staff come out on the weekend rush because we weren't sure what was going on so we had to pay a higher price.

They were reasonable priced. They damaged some appliances when they were working here and then they refused to accept responsibility for the damage. I had to go through the Texas state board of plumbers to have it resolved.

Flex lines were rusty, water wouldn't turn off, toilet re-filled continually. Plumber was on time, fixed the problem, and charged a reasonable amount for parts and labor.

It was a problematic issue that another plumber was going to charge $250 for. Javier was great and did an excellent job. So glad to have that line out of here!

Being a Mesquite resident, I like to support local businesses when possible. I have heard great things about Riddell Plumbing, both on Angie's List and through word of mouth referrals. I called Riddell Plumbing to have several leaks corrected in two bathrooms. The service representative stated that my job would require a supervisor to walk the job before work could begin. The service representative took my information and said that someone would contact me. After 3 days, no return call. I called the office again and learned that no service request had been generated. The representative took my information again and said I would receive a call in one business day. After one more week, still no return call. I called in a third time and was told a message would be sent to the supervisor to contact me. Still no return call. After nearly three weeks of waiting, I called another plumbing company who responded the same day and began the repair work. I was hoping to give Riddell Plumbing a shot, but it didn't work out this time.

Perfect - I had received a new cartridge from Grohe (the manufacturer) under their lifetime warranty and the Riddle plumber took the valve apart, replaced the cartridge, and put everything back together exact as it was. There were alot of parts and the plumber got them all back together. Definately not a do it yourself job. Very good job and the guys were great at keeping everything clean.

The crew arrived on time and completed the task. He even helped with the kitchen faucet that was loose.

The workers were very professional. Laid a tarp to catch the dirt. Showed up on time, finished on time and billed what was quoted. I highly recommend them.

They did an excellent job. There service is very good and we've had them before. They came highly recommended.

I felt they were easy to talk with but obviously had a misunderstanding of the work to be performed. I felt I made the scope quite clear and even provided pictures of the existing conditions. When they arrived (different people than the one from the phone call) they took about 2 minutes to tell me it was going to cost 2 times the amount I was originally quoted. I then proceeded to inquire why this was the case. It was then explained that there were things that they were going to do, "above and beyond" what I needed done. Then I said, no, let's just get it done to the basic level and give me a price for that. They re-evaluated and the price didn't really drop dramatically. I was asking why it was so much more than the original quote. It was explained that there were more materials involved. I explained that there were no additional components needed than the original quote and that what they were talking about was a little more, and inexpensive, PVC pipe and perhaps one T. They didn't seem to want to move the price so we all agreed that the work would not be performed.

I needed Riddell to come 2 different days during course of remodel of kitchen which they did. On second trip, I add additional plumbing items not related to the kitchen. Very responsive. Stayed late to complete all the work. Great job and price!

The man that showed up was very clean and introduced himself. He even showed me an ID. He used shoe covers so as to keep my floor clean. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all being alone with him.

Two people came out to complete the work. They were incredibly professional and confident in the work. Cleaned up well and maintained the area. Took about two and a half hours of total man time and after parts were ordered, about two weeks total to complete the work.
