Terrible !!! The repairman replaced the failed soap dispenser., but he did not test the machine operation before he left. And then when we tried to use the dishwasher after he left, the machine was totally dead ... no lights or anything. It was obvious that he did something wrong that killed the dishwasher. We then proceeded to call the repairman's cell phone number and the company number multiple, multiple times, asking and begging them to come back to correct the problem. They did not even give us the courtesy of a return call, besides leaving us with a dead dishwasher.
Description of Work: Simple fix or replacement of soap dispenser in dishwasher.

Appointment was made via email on 4/3/2017 for 4/5/2017 between 12 and 5. I called the day before, 4/4, at 4:26 pm to confirm and to ask that service person not wear cologne, my wife is very, very sensitive to fragrances. No answer. Left message and asked to confirm that they got call. Stayed home the entire afternoon waiting for them to show. On 4/5 at 4:57 pm, they had not arrived. I called their number, no answer, left voice mail. As of 5:20 pm have not heard back from them. Called Jenn Air and asked for a different firm to do service. My minimum expectation is that if they can't make appt., that they call, apologize and reschedule as soon as they know, stuff happens. My reasonable expectation is that I have stayed home all afternoon, they show up when they can and provide service the same day even if it is after hours .
Description of Work: Morgan was hired thru Jenn Air Insurance Contract to repair a refrigerator.

First repair was to a blocked defrosting tube. Water was on floor. He repaired that, hopefullly. I still dont believe what he told. me. and wont know for sure until i deal with the subsequent problem that he caused. He examined my freezer gasket on my request because it had a non-critical tear. This tear had not caused any problems but since freezer is under warranty, i suggested a new one. Freezer door was taken off and put back on. He left the house and so did i for 2 days. When i came back it looked like it had snowed inside of my freezer which had never happened before. Being under Lowes warranty, they would not come back immediately or return my calls. They finally returned call saying gasket was in and came back to install that. Door off again. No attempt made to look at tube. Was threatened by repair guy who said that if i didnt stop talking he would leave. When he put it back together, he told me i needed a new side rail. Turned out it was just the aforementioned ice which even i could see. But not him. He then tried to put the freezer basket back in backwards, repeatedly until i asked if it needed to go in a certain way. I could see that he had it reversed. I can also see that the gasket has not been installed correctly. There are ripples all around it. He then proceeded to tell me that "we" probably ruined the gasket by looking at it and that was what caused the ice storm. I know that is not true because we gently looked at it the same way i have looked at it many times before. Unless he did something to it. He said that boxes sticking off the edge of shelf probably caused damage to gasket. Again not true. Nothing was put in the freezer any differently than i normally do. Plus, he closed the freezer door and left. Then I left for two days. Nobody but HIM touched the freezer. Not to mention that he used door to haul himself off of the floor. When i came back in two days it was full of ice. He said that was because door was not sealed. if door was not sealed, it was because he did something to it. I believe he reinstalled the door incorrectly. at the minimum. I wont know until i clean it out and see if it keeps working. After the gasket is installed AGAIN, of course. A side note, they have horrible reviews elsewhere online (YP)
Description of Work: work done on freezer part of bottom-freezer style refrigerator. Summary, worked on defrost tube. May have broken it. not sure yet. Put door back on freezer, may have broken that too. Returned to replace a gasket. Gasket clearly not installed right, i can see ripples all around. caused me to lose a freezer full of frost bitten food. someone will have to come back third time. details below. surly, egotistical and threatening.

Our Maytag washing machine went out of balance the day before Thanksgiving (with all family here) and when my husband looked at it, there was a plastic piece holding the tub in alignment that was broken and needed to be replaced..machine is only 4 months old and I called Lowes to schedule warranty work...was told that the EARLIEST appointment I could get was for the following Tuesday... I received a confirmation from Lowes that Morgan appliance had me on their schedule..have you ever tried to do without a washing machine for almost a week with company in the house?? Don't get me started. I called Morgan Appliance to try and get on their cancellation list and it was sent to voice mail. Throughout the week I tried to call and confirm as it was a major inconvenience to be home from 8 am until noon today....again, I tried several times during the day of the appointment to no avail....and of course they were a "no call, no show"...Called Lowes who also tried to contact them and were unsuccessful. Now I'm at the BACK of the list waiting for yet another warranty repair company.....this company's lack of professionalism is nothing short of stunning....I would never call them for repairs for anything.

Morgan appliance repaired my Samsung machine, but it has broken down again, for the the exact same problem. I'm trying to get a refund for the unit from Samsung, but they are requiring copies of the repair receipts from Morgan appliance, but I've had no luck in obtaining them. Nor can we get them to return our phone calls. I received an email from Rick Morgan @ Morgan applaince after numerous phone calls just to state they were at our house and did repair the pump on our Samsung washer, but we never received any actual receipts.
Description of Work: I have a Samsung washer which is a piece of junk, less than a year old broken down. Since I purchased the machine from Best Buy I called thei Geek Squiad for repairs. They sent out Morgan appliance for the warranty repair.

Description of Work: The dishwasher was under warranty, so I did not have to pay. The start button was stuck, and the repairman had trouble with it too. He played around with the display panel, and changed the factory settings - my dishwasher started right up. He was even super nice to my two cats who came up to greet him. GREAT service.

Morgan's was called in on a warranty repair on a refrigerator that is barely over a year old. This was the second time that something has gone out on this fridge. Six months ago the ice maker went bad. Morgan's reapir was called on that service as well and I had the same problems with them that time as I had this time. For this instance...Lowes set up the appointment a week in advance. They scheduled the initial appointment for 8-12 in the morning on 11/17 but said that someone from Morgan's would call me the day before to give me a smaller time frame. I recieved no call at all from Morgan's. I had to take the entire morning off of work. I sat here that morning waiting and waiting. David Morgan finally showed up at 11:50 without even the slightest apology. He looked at the fridge and said that a motor in the ice dispensor had gone bad and that he would have to order it. He was only here for less than 10 minutes and left. He is very gruff, quite unkempt and not very professional. About a week later he called and said that he had gotten the part in and that he needed to schedule a time to come out and install it. I tried to nicely explain to him that I am extremely busy and that it is very difficult for me to take time off work, especially wasted time to just sit around here and wait. I tried to be very accomodating, and told him that I could be home by 2:15 in the afternoon any day he wanted the rest of that week or all of the next. I was willing to let him choose the day that worked best for him. He very nastily barked at me "that will not work, I have to have a window of 11-3 on any day this week or next." I again tried to nicely explain to him that it is nearly impossible for me to just lose an entire half day of work. He practically screamed at me "I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU ABOUT THIS!!! The time frime is 11-3. If you don't like it you can just call Lowes." So I did. I called Lowes back and had to start the process all over with an entirely different repair company. I am really sick and tired of rude "service" people who do not understand the first iota about customer service. David Morgan, like so many others, acts like customers are there for his convenience. He was just as bad the first time I had to have him come and repair the ice maker, kept me waiting for hours without even the courtesy of a phone call. I will NEVER use Morgan's appliance repair again.
Description of Work: This was a warranty service on a one year old refrigerator. The ice maker dispensor was broken and not working. On the first trip the problem was diagnosed as being the auger motor and the part was ordered.

I have had a wonderful experience two times hiring Morgan Appliance. Both times David Morgan came to my house to make repairs to a very poorly constructed Whirlpool front-loading washer, which I purchased from Lowe's. The first repair that David did was covered under the manufacturer's warranty. He replaced a defective drum in the washer. The second service call he cleaned out a stopped up drain in the unit, which had an accumulation of lint from a rug that my wife had washed several days prior. He taught me how to take the unit apart and clean it out, so I will not have to hire someone to do it again if it clogs up again. (The Whirlpool owner's manual provides no information on how to clean let alone find this filter). David did not charge me for the second service call, which was extremely generous on his part. If you have a broken washer, I would recommend hiring David to fix it
Description of Work: First, Morgan Appliance replaced a defective drum in a poorly-built Whirpool front-loading washer. Second, Morgan Appliance cleaned out a stopped up filter in the washer, which was causing the unit to not drain and unlock the door to access the wet clothes.

They had the part on the truck, so I didn't have to wait for very long. They came when they said they were going to. It didn't take them very long. They fixed it on the same day. I haven't had any problems with the washer since. I thought the price was reasonable.

While the repair technician was courteous, and did warn us of potential incremental costs, he attempted repair twice to no avail. When it failed to work again, he was unresponsive to our phone calls to attempt resolution. We contacted the office manager (father), who became very defensive of his technician (son), indicating he had attempted to contact us. We have no record of his phone call. They made no effort to attempt to "work with us" on the fact that two repair visits failed to resolve the issue, and indicated we would have to pay parts & labor costing more that ~$650 to attempt repair again. The surliness/defensiveness of the office manager (father) coupled with the failed diagnostic capabilities of the technician (son), are the reasons we will no longer use this company.
Description of Work: Morgan Appliance attempted to fix KitchenAid Oven/Microwave which was not working. The control panel was flashing error codes and indicating that the oven was locked, but none of the buttons would work. Morgan Appliance came out twice, charging parts and labor in an attempt to fix it. They failed to restore service and indicated a ~$650+ part + labor would have to resolve it.

he looked at what i thought the problem was - took apart dryer cover and inspected. said all ok call a company to clean your vent from wall. he didn't even take off the vent in the house until i asked him to. asked him to look at another appliance and see if it needed a gasket...he said yes and call his company and ask for a quote on parts/installation. his brother - boss - said he was wrong it didn't need a gastket was installed incorrectly. so 5 minutes to tell me to call someone else to fix dryer and obviously didn't want the other business with my other appliance.

He checked and found that the oven needed a replacement part but was going to have to order it. He called back within 24 hours and said he'd found the part rather than having to order one. He returned quickly, repaired it and I was very pleased with the service. He was also very friendly. I'd used him quite sometime before as well and he actually remembered me. That was nice.

I'm very impressed with this company's integrity. After the circuit board was installed, my dishwasher still wouldn't run because the motor had also been fried by the lightning (which was impossible to diagnose without replacing the circuit board). David said that to replace the motor would make the total cost of the repair almost the cost of a new dishwasher. Morgan Appliance only charged me for the initial service call and were very courteous and professional. They've won my business.
Description of Work: My dishwasher wasn't working after a lightning strike at my house. Morgan Appliance diagnosed the problem as a fried circuit board. They ordered the part and then scheduled a follow-up call to install it when it came in.
