Terrible contractor. We "trusted" him to do the right thing. Same exact experience as the prior complaint. I do not know why this guy is still in business. He also happened to turn the situation around and made it sound like it was all our fault. A truly disgusting person considering people work hard for the money they pay him.

Working with MJK Construction was one of the most frustrating experiences we have ever had with a contractor. We have built several homes and had many remodeling projects. Nothing compares with the lack of communication and lack of attention to detail we endured with this company. If you like being blamed when things go wrong, then they are your guys. We picked out simple white subway tile but it was our fault it was installed incorrectly twice. We supplied drawings showing a window in a bedroom but it was our fault he forgot to put one in or failed to mention we might want a window in the bedroom (because he said it was not in the bid). Our contractor, Walter, continually threw his subcontractors under the bus when they didn’t show up when he said they would. We caught him several times giving us false times and dates. He did not come very often to inspect the work of these subs either. We were constantly having to do the checking and notifying. We would text with questions and they would sometimes not be answered for days. We have screenshots of the work, the lack of communications and the berating we were subjected to from this company. After a while, we were beat down and just accepted some of the subpar work. We are having to pay someone else to finish up the work correctly. Glad it’s over!
