+ -1 moreJesus Olvera was wonderful to work with! He showed up on time, was very pleasant, did an excellent job and was very reasonable. We will definitely use him again and highly recommend him. He also has a mowing service and plants flowers and shrubs. We plan to call him next week to plant all our spring flowers.
Description of Work: We had a broken valve replaced and a sprinkler head installed.

+ -1 moreExcellent experience. On time, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, reasonable, and efficient. He checked out the system and consulted me on each item that he suggested needed repair. In one case I suggested a possible repair which he determined was unnecessary. I would hire him again.
Description of Work: They located (valve boxes were buried)and replaced two zone valves and 8 sprinkler heads.

+ -1 moreMr. Olvera answered the phone himself. He said that he had a 2 day job starting that day, but he could come over right away and look at our problem. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He also knows a LOT about sprinkler systems. The inspection was thorough and he even dug in the ground to inspect parts. He replaced a few minor parts. He told us about easy repairs the homeowners could do ourselves, thus saving us money. His bill was VERY reasonable. We will definitely call him again for sprinkler problems and for yard work which his company also does.
Description of Work: Our sprinkler system was not working and it had mysterious electrical problems before. When Mr. Olvera arrived, the sprinkler system was working. Mr Olvera did an overall inspection and found a few minimal parts to replace. He also told us about some control boxes which were buried too deep and were subject to water damage. (We didn't even know the control boxes were there!) However, he said that was something the owner could easily correct. He was here about 1.5 hours. With parts and labor, the bill was only $93.

HE HAD TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY WITH PARTS TO COMPLETE THE WORK, EVEN THOUGH I WOULDN'T BE HOME, BUT THAT WAS OKAY. HE TOLD ME HE'D LEAVE A BILL AND I COULD JUST MAIL HIM A CHECK. I THOUGHT HE WAS HONEST AND EXTREMELY TRUSTWORTHY.

Description of Work: I THOUGHT I HAD A SPRINKLER LEAK, BUT JESUS FIGURED OUT THAT I WAS JUST OVERWATERING. HE CHECKED THE OPERATION OF MY SYSTEM AND RESET MY CONTROLLER FOR A BETTER WATERING SCHEDULE. HE SWITCHED OUT A COUPLE OF HEADS TO CORRECT SOME COVERAGE PROBLEMS. I WAS PREPARED TO PAY HIM TO INSTALL A NEW HEAD IN ONE AREA, BUT HE SIMPLY CHANGED OUT AN EXISTING HEAD TO SOLVE MY COVERAGE PROBLEM AT A FRACTION OF THE COST. HE DID ALL OF THIS ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

+ -1 moreJESUS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HE TOOK HIS TIME AND MADE SURE IT WAS DONE RIGHT. AFTERWARD HE SET THE CONTROLLER/TIMER AND TESTED THE SYSTEM TO MAKE SURE IT WAS COVERING ALL AREAS. HE INCLUDED 3 YR PARTS WARRANTY, AND 1 YR LABOR WARRANTY. HE WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH.

HE IS THOROUGH WITH HIS WORK AND TAKES PRIDE IN HIS WORKMANSHIP. I WILL DEFINITELY CALL UPON HIM FOR ANY FUTURE NEEDS AND RECOMMEND HIM TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. HIS PRICES WERE THE LOWEST OF A COUPLE OTHER QUOTES I TOOK. THIS IS SURPRISING GIVEN THE EXCELLENT LEVEL OF SERVICE I RECEIVED.
Description of Work: I INITIALLY CALLED JESUS TO FIX A LEAK IN ONE SPRINKLER STATION PIPING. HE FIXED THAT ALONG WITH A NUMBER OF OTHER ISSUES HE FOUND REGARDING SPRINKLER HEADS, NOZZLES, EXTENSIONS, AND ONE ANOTHER LEAK WHICH I HAD NOT DETECTED AND HAD BEEN CAUSING UNNECESSARY WATER WASTAGE.

OLVERA SHOWED ME ALL HIS WORK AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEMS HE ENCOUNTERED AND SOLVED. JUST A CONSCIENTIOUS, VERY NICE MAN - VERY UNCOMMON IN THE WORLD OF SERVICE CONTRACTORS.
Description of Work: JOP DIAGNOSED PROBLEMS IN THE CONTROL VALVE WIRING OF MY 20 YEAR OLD SPRINKLER SYSTEM. OVER TIME THE WIRING CONNECTIONS HAD DETERIORATED. JOP REPAIRED THE CONNECTIONS, REPLACED A SPRINKLER AND ADJUSTED SPRINKLER PATTERNS. I WAS BILLED FOR 2 HOURS WORK PLUS PARTS. THE PARTS PRICES DID NOT HAVE AN EXPLICIT MARKUP AND THEY WERE IN LINE WITH WHAT I WOULD HAVE PAID @ THE HOME DEPOT OR LOWES.

HE SAID $45/HR PLUS PARTS. I ASKED HIM IF I COULD PICK UP THE PARTS AT HOME DEPOT HE SAID SURE OR HE COULD AND THEN SHOW ME THE RECEIPT (SO I WOULD KNOW HE WASN'T TURNING A PROFIT ON THE PARTS). HE IS SO HONEST AND EASY TO TALK TO HE FELT MORE LIKE A FRIEND THAN A REPAIR-MAN. I WAS IN A BIG JAM AND I COULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, BUT I WAS NOT. THIS IS THE REASON WHY I WILL USE HIM IN THE FUTURE AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING SPRINKLER/DRAINAGE/YARD WORK/ETC.
Description of Work: I DECIDED TO REPLACE THE VALVE ON MY LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM. IN THE PROCESS I MANAGED TO CRACK THE PVC PIPE FEEDING THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM. WATER QUICKLY FLOODED THE VALVE BOX, SO I HAD TO SHUT OFF THE WATER MAIN INTO MY HOUSE TO PREVENT MY FRONT YARD FROM FLOODING. I CALLED JESUS AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. HE SAID HE COULD BE AT MY HOUSE IN 2 HOURS. HE SHOWED UP AFTER ONLY 1 HOUR AND I SHOWED HIM THE PROBLEM. HE CAPPED OFF THE CRACKED PVC AND HE CLEARLY EXPLAINED MY OPTIONS. I FELT SO COMFORTABLE WITH HIM I ASKED HIM TO LOOK AT A LEAKY SPRINKLER HEAD. AGAIN HE OFFERED ME A RANGE OF OPTIONS. I ALSO ASKED HIM TO TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT MY DRAINAGE SYSTEM BECAUSE MY BACKYARD ALWAYS FLOODS WHEN IT RAINS. THE NEXT THING I KNOW HE IS DIGGING HOLES IN ORDER TO DO A FULL EVALUATION OF MY DRAINS. HE SPENT ABOUT AN HOUR WITH ME EXPLAINING PROPER DRAINAGE... UNBELIEVABLE, WHEN HE ONLY NEEDED ABOUT 10 MIN TO CAP THE PVC PIPE! WE SET UP A TIME TO FIX MY SPRINKLER VALVE... AND MAYBE MY DRAINAGE.
