Geldmeier Fence & Deck

Gary showed up at my house and I told him what I wanted done in the front yard and backyard. He took a few notes and told me he would get back with me. A few days later Gary called me back and he gave me an estimate for the work that needed to be done. I said okay, when can you start? He told me it will be a couple of weeks, because they had a lot of work.. So, Gary gave me a start date. Gary and his crew showed up Monday morning ready to go to work! The crew worked non-stop until the projects were all done and the areas were cleaned. The crew was finished around mid-afternoon and then they left. The craftsmanship was excellent! Gary showed up the following day to pick up the check and that was it. A job well done!

I contacted Gary Geldmeier to get an estimate for repair of my driveway gate 10'w x 8' t. The posts had moved due to the weight of the gate and the long hot summers in Dallas. Gary was over within 48 hrs to give me an estimate. He suggested that one of his team come by before he could give me any suggestions. The following Monday he provided a fair estimate for the solution and the work was scheduled. The crew was onsite and were able to repair the heavy gate and replace damaged boards. The work took less time than estimated and the invoice reflected a noticeable deduction. I would definitely use this company again. Repair

I contacted this company and Gary quickly came out to give me a bid. I had several questions so we emailed back and forth and he and his wife were very responsive. He provided mock-up drawings and pictures to give me an idea of how the fence would look. No hard sell for pre-staining the fence...as a matter of fact...no hard sell at all. He took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything. This was no cheap fence but I believe in the old saying 'you get what you pay for". I have a huge sloping back yard so the fence had to be "stair stepped" all the way down both sides. They got it done in about 3 days, complete with a wrought iron car gate installed. It is beautiful! You can see the workmanship in the cuts. I will definitely call them back when my deck needs repairs.

Gary came by looked at the work expected and provided a written estimate. The estimate described in detail the end product. I have been very pleased with the results and have had an excellent experience working with both Gary and Susan. Susan provided a list of previous jobs in the area and I was able to drive around to see their previous work. He and his team arrived on time on the scheduled date and completed the job on schedule. The new fence looks great and I expect it will last for years.

We loved the service and finished product so much that two months later we had them come out and replace the fencing on our side yards. They were able to match the previous work and stain completely and gave us options for our two side gates and move the placement exactly as promised. Very courteous. Gary returned to make sure that the job was done to his and our satisfaction.

Our old chain link fence had seen better days. We decided to get quotes to replace part of it with new wood fence and part with new black vinyl chain link. After getting 3 quotes we decided to go with Geldmeier. Despite the fact that we changed our minds several times about exactly what we wanted, the owner was very easy to work with and patient and provided us with options and suggestions. After we agreed to the scope, he scheduled the job and it was completed as projected by his crew that actually work for him (not subcontracted). The quality of the materials and the actual installation was very good. Cleanup could have been a little better, but it was not big deal, just required some minor raking and levelling. Overall, we were very pleased with Geldmeier Fence and Deck and would not hesitate to use them again.

I contacted the company about 3 times prior to the installation of the fence, getting an estimate and information on materials to be used. Mr. Geldmeir provided very exact specifications as to what materials would be used and just what work was done. His workmen started work on Tues. morning, had the old fence down by noon and had the new fence compledted by Weds. afternoon. Everything was done in a very professional manner.

Excellent company! Gary and Susan were professional and caring from the first phone call.Gary listened to our input and his team built a beautiful fence. He truly cared about the quality of every aspect of construction. When he saw that some of the boards were not up to his standard - they were replaced. He is proud of the work he does and he should be! Two of our neighbors were so impressed they had Gary build their fences too!

We divided our project into three phases beginning with installation of the electric gate. Throughout each phase Geldmeier could not have been more professional, cooperative or responsive. Exceptional business!

Gary came out on time and met me to walk the job in order to provide an estimate. He was very friendly and came across as completely honest about everything. His bid was thorough and included the name and contact number other clients in the area that I could talk to for references. I ended up using a different company, but it was a very hard decision and I hope that I didn't make a mistake by not using Geldmeier. I will certainly contact Geldmeier in the future to look at any other jobs that I have.

Called and spoke with Susan. Met Gary for the estimate. Quick, answered all my questions. Felt very comfortable (professional, personable, knowledgeable). Cerilo and Gaston began work early on February 27. Friendly, professional, quiet. Had to remove existing chain link fencing and assorted wire and wood plank accoutrements, plus stumps that had become part of the fence. A dirty, tedious job that required sharpening the chain saw teeth and persistence. They met both with grace. Removed and hauled away the above. Very careful about property lines and setting the posts. All posts set 3 ft deep and stabilized with cement. Put in 20 ft. of cedar fencing and 65 ft. of chain link, all 6 ft. high, plus a chain link gate. Bottom 5 inches of chain link buried per my request. All work was performed in a continuous way. His guys worked very well together. They also asked what time I would like them to start the next morning. They came when they said they would and were finished by noon. Took only 1 1/2 days. The new fencing looks great! Plus, they fixed my existing front cedar gate so now I can open and close it by myself. It had issues. I am totally pleased with their work.

Geldmeier Fence did a superb job! Gary and Susan are very professional and the quality of work was superior! Their team is incredibly talented and it shows in the work. We've received so many compliments on the fences....it's a great feeling! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Even though their estimate was a little higher than others, I felt more at ease with this company and went with my gut and glad that I did. They were very informative, professional and customer service was outstanding. All calls I made to Susan would always be returned in the same day and emails were also replied to within 1 or 2 days. The crew were also outstanding and did an excellent job.

All projects went very well. The work quality is excellent. You can find less expensive providers but, with Geldmeier, you get what you pay for. In spite of their age, all fence and deck posts remain tight and perpendicular (no leaning). The fences look newer today than some of our neighbors fences which were installed at later dates. We needed some replacement boards for our deck (due to extreme sun) and Geldmeier was very quick to respond. I would use Geldmeier again and highly recommend them to others.

There was nothing that stuck out to me that I disliked or liked.

It went very well in so far as the estimate was provided within a few days via email. At this point we haven't decided whether or not to replace our fence so no further service has been rendered.

The crew arrived on time every day. They removed the old fence and rebuilt the fence and added a second gate.

They were the only company that responded promptly and showed interest in the job. I first contacted Geldmeier after the wind storms back in May 11' and only received a est. from Gary G. The only reason why I waited until August 11' was due to my budget., but Gary really impressed me in his prompt initial est. and the willingness to go out in the rain (for the est). I called other Angie's List fence companies but Geldmeier were above all the most professional and put customer service first. Susan G. even trusted me to pay after the work was complete.

He did a great job and was easy to work with. I would use him again.

First contact, Susan called to set estimate appointment with Gary. Prompt arrival of Gary and estimate given. Their bid was the highest BUT I was impressed by their professionalism, knowledge & their website. My Daddy always told me You get what You pay for So I went with them. Day One Grant, a personable, polite and hard working young man came and cleaned every inch of the fence. Day Two Susan stopped by to see how all was going. Gary came and replaced all the hardware; Grant came and stain/sealed over half the fence, the wind kicked up so Day Three was to finish stain/sealed. Day Four Thomas came and did repairs on a few broken slats and stain/sealed those. The workmanship and teamwork was awesome, I hope to have all my projects run this smooth!

Gary and his entire team were great. They were very professional and had great ideas from the time we first met to discuss the work we wanted throughout the job. They were efficient and finished the job quickly. The finished product looks fantastic and exceeded our expectations. They were also able to help our neighbor, who also enjoyed working with them. Overall, it was a great experience and we could not think of any way it could have gone better.
