Jonah was able to come to visit my home to take a look at a potential master bath remodel.? He was nice and very easy to talk to, assuring me the estimate would be well with in my budget.? This was back in in early April.? Followed up with him a week later and said my quote would be in by end of the week. It's early May now and nothing.? I guess they're so busy they forgot about me..

First , It took almost 4 weeks to get him to come to my house and even do the consultation. ( was a complete waste of time) Second, once he arrived tried to up-sale everything when all we wanted was a basic remove old cabinets and install new ones Third, His price is not competitive for such a small project. We wanted to put in new kitchen cabinets in what I consider one of the smallest kitchens ever seen. (his quote was 15,000.00) for a project that was estimated to be around 3-6k

I highly recommend Jonah and Galaxy Building Services. We remodeled the master bath with new tile, new glass enclosed shower, new vanity and lights, and paint. They were always on time and made sure to keep the work area cleaned daily. The work was done beautifully. Their well-managed service took the stress and worries off of me and made my project feel like a breeze (when I could see it was actually lots of sweat and stress on their part). Most importantly, is Jonah?s service to make sure that we were pleased with the work and that it met our expectations and vision for the project.

It went great. They did a superb job. There was additional fees because I had to buy the material. It included the vanity, the countertops and accessories - faucets, mirrors and tiles.

I followed up with Jonah with a couple of emails and never received a response. I then sent a text on January 4, 2016 and received a response from Jonah that I will received a quote by the end of the week. (never got one) I sent another follow up text on January 12, 2016 and never got a response. I am done.

The job is about 90% complete. There have been a few holdups mostly due to us waiting for items ordered over the internet and us changing the storage design. Over all the workmanship has been top rate, materials have been top quality, contractors have been friendly and helpful. 1, Removed bathtub then added a glass shower with new tile and fixtures. 2, Removed old floor and replaced with new floor tile. 3, Refinished old cabinet doors. 4, Replaced old shower with build-in storage from floor to ceiling 5, Removed and cut large old mirror, made into 2 smaller mirrors, 1 for each of the 2 sinks. 6, Removed large old window, replaced with smaller window in order to increase the shower size.. 7, Removed old counter and faucets replaced with new counter, sinks and faucets. 8, Removed old wallpaper, textured and repainted walls, ceiling and woodwork. 9, Installed new towel bars, shelves and hooks for shower accessory's.

We contacted Galaxy Building in early August to remodel our master bath after we had a slab leak repaired. We had a small 36x36" square shower that was transformed into a huge 60" x 48" shower with a bench seat surrounded by frameless glass. Twelve by twenty four inch tiles surrounds both the shower and walk in tub. The walk in tub replaced a huge whirlpool tub that didn't have any grab bars. As we grow older such things become very relevant. The walk in tub is equipped with hydro jets and air jets. It also has an inline heater so the water doesn't get cold. I love that tub. It is much smaller than the tube it replaced making room for the shower. They installed custom maple cabinets stained a beautiful golden pecan. These are real wood cabinets, not that compressed wood product with wood fronts. A new matching medicine cabinet housing an electrical outlet was installed on the countertop. A new light was added over the walk in tub, popcorn ceiling was removed and painted, walls were painted after removing 25 year old wallpaper, including the water closet. The existing mirror was used to provide two framed mirrors on each side of the medicine cabinet over the two sinks. Barn doors replaced double doors entering the room saving space in the bedroom. I wish I'd had a little more guidance on the barn doors, but they turned out very nicely. Through it all, Johnah was in touch so much that I began to think he had moved in with us. He kept us posted every step of the way. Thank you, Johnah. If something wasn't quite right or to our satisfaction, he made sure it was corrected. There was only one snag which was the frameless shower surround. It had to be cut again because of minor changes to granite thickness. Galaxy Building is a great choice for a bathroom remodel. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else if I needed more of this type of work done.

These projects went along really well. We enjoyed working with Jonah and his team. He has talented professionals that provide quality work. Jonah offered excellent suggestions and helped guide us on decisions we had to make on design of the new shower. He also suggested we frame the old standard flat glass mirrors and am really glad we did. He met the challenge we posed in putting a special sink in the master bath and having a custom cabinet built to enclose it. His bid process offered the flexibility for us to provide the specific materials that we wanted to use for the build, rather than having to select from a limited vendor or brand. Jonah is very personable and you will enjoy working with him. He clearly knows his business and is all about quality work and making sure the customer is happy.

This contractor had access to our home as we had to move to an apartment, for 5 months and still did not complete work that was contracted for timely. Additionally left work contracted for unfinished and much of the work quality is substandard and we will have to hire another contract to finish and repair the substandard work... We reported much of this prior to moving back into the home and got no response. Upon moving back into the home - we noted more items and reported them and this contractor stated "you can not have another punch list or add to it". Then when convenient for them they showed up demanding FULL final payment despite work still outstanding. They were told we would have to discuss and get back to them and it would NOT be the next day as it was our granddaughters birthday. Regardless - they showed up the next day again wanting payment they were not entitled to as the job was not finished. They are fully aware that the mortgage company is holding the final half of the insurance payment and withholding services and demanding payment as a tactic to force a payment they have not earned. Another contractor is on the way!

The windows are great! I wish it went smoothly but the weather was not our friend. It rained, hailed, and the Gods just down right smited us. BUT they got our windows in and we are so HAPPY with them. Thanks for persevering!

This was not a pleasant experience. I had flunked a Rent House inspection by the City of Richardson and quickly needed someone to poke a hole in a garage wall that had been converted into a bedroom and install an egress window. I was willing to pay, and I paid, a premium price to get this little construction project to happen quickly. Galaxy Building Services suggested I also needed hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to pass the City's inspection. I made additional calls to City Inspectors and discovered this was not the case. Then there were the delays. Deadlines were missed. Windows became unavailable (even though equivalent windows were readily available and in stock at Home Depot). Additional calls to City Inspectors were made as I begged for deadline extensions and forgiveness. Finally, the window was installed. The City Inspector approved the installation and my Rent House was up to standard. But, in my view the drama and expense associated with using Galaxy Building Services was excessive. I would have preferred to check a box suggesting I MIGHT use this Provider in the future, but this option is not available. So, I checked the Yes box.

The crew did an excellent job - very professional. (no messes, prompt, listened to what I needed and made revisions as necessary) Owner was advised every step of the process; timelines were met and the crew finished the job on time. Follow-up calls were daily and all of our needs were met for this job.

Jonah was very willing to please. He came out to the house to measure and give me an estimate. After we contracted services and before windows were ordered, he came back out with his guys to measure again. Jonah was willing to work with my challenging schedule. We had difficulties due to weather, but Jonah and his team were able to get the job done to meet my needs.

Very pleased with the company and the workers. Would very much recommend them and will work with them in the future.

Even with my changes the cost was fair. They did the work well and quickly. They worked to be sure I was happy with the result.

We were very cautious about selecting a contractor for a job of this scale, and took the time to interview and receive estimates from several companies before deciding on Galaxy Building Services. Although each company seemed professional and had good ratings, Jonah from Galaxy seemed to take more time with us to answer our many questions and concerns, and even volunteered some excellent ideas for the remodel that we hadn't considered or even thought of! Plus, he provided a detailed listing of costs for each phase of the project that added up to the lowest overall estimate. He seemed genuinely sincere about helping us with all phases of the remodel. Prior to beginning construction, Jonah brought several of his workers over to meet us as well a certified designer to draw up the plans. Work began on schedule and everything went smoothly. The crew always showed up on time and put in a full days work. They were very professional and always took the time to answer our questions and/or concerns. Although this project took about two months to complete, Jonah would come by almost every day to meet with us and check on his workers. Jonah is very easy to work with, and was extremely responsive to our needs. We do wish, however, that some areas of the project had been discussed in greater detail such as placement of wall switches, types of fixtures, closet design, certain details of construction, etc. Jonah and his crew did seem to be in a rush to be finished as we neared the end of the project and certain small quality defects can be found as a result. At one point, the electrician simply gave up when he had difficulty installing a couple of fixtures. Just didn't seem to want to take the time to see it through, and I had to complete these jobs myself! Two new windows were ordered in the wrong size and design, causing a delay in their installation. Overall, however, things went well throughout the project, barring the usual delays for weather, problems with supply of parts, and some personnel issues. At the end of the day...we greatly enjoyed working with Jonah and Galaxy Building Services. He knows his business, and is friendly and professional at all times. We are extremely pleased with the results of the remodel and would not hesitate to recommend this company or use them again in the future.

Jonah is very personable and attentive. His crew performed most of the work while we were on thanksgiving vacation in Colorado (watching on security cameras). He called and offered to upgrade the single-hung windows he sold us to double- hung Simonton windows for 10% more. That was a good deal. However, we didn't realize the new windows would reduce the glass area by 20%. Also there was a communication problem between the crew that installed the windows and the crew that installed the siding. The windows had to be reset to match the new siding. The end result is the house looks great and all the problems were corrected. That side of the house is significantly warmer and the Hardiboard siding isn't going to delaminate.

Jonah was great. Always punctual, professional, and honest. He came out the day after we spoke even though it was New Year's Eve. We wanted to add on two bedrooms to our house. He did a thorough walk thru and came back with a proposal a few days later. Unfortunately we had no idea how much this kind of job would cost. He was in line and slightly less than other quotes we had gotten. He understood our situation and was willing to quote a different job with only adding one room on. He met me at work with the next proposal about a week later. Again, his price was fair and plans looked good. it just still was over our budget and we had to decide to wait and save more money. I know we would have had a good experience with Galaxy and will definitely keep them in mind when it's the right time to do home addition.

I had a problem with their work so they came in the second time and they're actually wonderful. When I used it, it leaked into the kitchen and so I called the next day and they looked at it. There was no additional cost. They were great, quick and thorough.
