Response from Ellis Smith Roof America
That's only part of the story. This member had an appointment with me on Saturday 9-15-12 at 11:00 a.m. he asked me to call 30 minutes ahead which I did on my way to his address in Richardson from Keller Texas. The member said he wanted to re-schedule for "next week". I told him I had Monday morning 9-17-12 at 8:00 a.m. this member told me he could not make that time, the property is his office and 9:30 a.m. on Monday 9-17-12 would be better for him. I moved 2 appointments around to accommodate this member. I showed up exactly on time and the member was not there, did not call me and gave no indication he was on his way. Although some people think that I should give them a FREE estimate, this means they can waste my time, my gasoline and my energy. These people are also inconveniencing my customers who REALLY need my help and are not just shopping a dozen roofers for a cheap price. I realize that things happen, traffic, kids, etc. and people run late. Almost everyone over the age of 11 has access to a cell phone and a clock. I was the one who was on time (both days). I do travel about a 100 mile radius around East Dallas and I get stuck in traffic and I run late at times. I also call and tell the customer about the situation and apologize for my tardiness. You member are the one who was not available and late (twice) yet you are not apologetic, you wish instead to discredit me for your misuse of the schedule you insisted on. No money changed hands, I performed no work and I have never laid eyes on this member yet he feels obligated to discredit me for something that was a result of his behavior, not my service. God Bless you and your family.
