+ -1 moreThe job was done exceptionally well. Ellis carefully worked on a problematic area where I had experienced a leak previously. He sent photos of the problem area and the finished work after he took corrective efforts. The leak did recur after a specially driving rainstorm and he came back to do additional work at no charge. I have since called him to check out a leak manifesting at a bathroom window. He promptly came back out and determined there were shingles around the stack pipe that had been loosened during recent storms. He glued them back down (again providing before and after photos) and generously declined payment for his time. I will definitely hire him again for any future work I need done on my roof.
Description of Work: Utilized a $199 promotional package offered through Angie's List for roof inspection/maintenance. Ellis Smith is the roofer who responded. He contacted me quickly and performed an inspection of my roof within two days of initial contact.

+ -1 moreEllis Roofing was punctual and very professional. Even though the weather was chilly, the roof was inspected very carefully. The submitted photos of affected areas helped with information to our insurance company. The cost was adequated for the amount of work and time spent information us of possible problems.
Description of Work: We purchased the special from Ellis Roofing. The gentleman came and inspected the roof for any damages. He took photographs of questionable areas. These photos were sent to our email. We were able to verify everything that was performed -- the resealing and chimney damage by squirrels. He also resealed areas near the flashing and eaves. He gave us suggestions for possibly submitting a claim to our insurance company. The inspection was very thorough and informative. Suggestions on a tree too close to the roof.

But I was advised by your office that I should call, and once past that silly hurdle, it all went well. Mr. Smith came out inspected everthing, sent me a quote, and performed the work quickly and expertly. they were not the least bit hesitant to get all the way into the problem, fixed it well, re-shingled and flashed and polished it up well.

Description of Work: Mr. Smith analysed the present ondition of my roof. He also sealed around pipes, eaves, guttering, etc. He took pictures of damages, where he sealed, and the locations of the loose/missing nails which he fixed.

+ -1 moreI used the winter roof coupon that was offered. Ellis was quick to respond to me and took care of business for me without having me take off work to be there for him. I also had him replace my turbo vents to flat ones. He did this over the weekend and when it rained on the day he was supposed to be there he called me first thing that morning to let me know as soon as it stops raining he would be there to do the work. He came the next day without delay (Sunday) and took care of the job. I will use him again and have already recommended him to my boss for some work she needs done.
Description of Work: I needed to have a vent pipe leak fixed. Ellis came out and looked at the problem, took pictures before he fixed the leak and then again after he sealed it up.

Description of Work: Roof America came out after the bad weather we had in 2011. While replacing the entire roof they discovered that the decking needed repaced as well. They worked with the CIty of Farmers Branch, TX and my isurance company and got it it approved for the incurance to cover the decking as well as geetting it up to currect code. The finished the work in 2 days. The only reason it took that long was to negotiate with the insuace then get the decking. I would refer them to anyone and everyone. They do great work. Their crew is very professional. They did a great clean up after as well. Sincere Lynn Payne

+ -1 moreI had suspected that there was a leak above our bedroom where we noticed some water stains. I could not identify any specific holes on the roof. I called Ellis and he was prompt and courteous. He filled a small hole around the plumbing vent and also repaired some bent flashing. He did the work for "no charge" because he couldn't be sure thats where the leak was. He said if it was still a problem, just call him back out to look at it again. Well, so far, the leak has stopped. I had a great experience with Ellis Smith roofing and will call on them for any further roofing needs.

+ -1 moreBoth my daughter and son-in-law work so it was important that they didn't miss too much work and I can say that Mr. Smith showed up on time and was very thorough in his inspection and in explaining what he found and fixed. .
Description of Work: I took advantage of the Winter Roof Maintenance and Sealing in December and was so pleased with their work and report that when I saw it advertized again I signed up and had them look at my daughters house on 2/9/2012. She had some other company to come out and look at her roof because she had a bad leak and they charged her almost $400 to fix it when in reality they didn't do anything. Mr. Smith found a couple of things that were wrong, He fixed some loose tiles and filled in an area that wasn't covered at all and replaced some nails that were popping up. Mr. Smith took before and after photos of the roof and explained everything to my daughter and son-in-law as he did the same with me and my house. I would highly recommend Mr. Ellis Smith to all of my friends.

Description of Work: The coupon we received from Angie's List offered a roof inspection with the inclusion of small repairs (nail pops, caulking, lifted shingles, etc.). The price was quite reqsonable. Mr. Smith made an appointment for a few days after my call to him. he was prompt and thorough. He took photos of all of the roof surfaces which he emailed to me while he was still on the roof. I have saved the photos in case we decide to offer our house for sale in the near future. Mr. Smith said that from above, our gutters look as though they may have a few years of life before they need to be replaced. He did repair some nail pops, lifted shingles, and calked around a vent stack where some rain has dripped in to the attic.
