All went perfectly. Ellis and his people were very professional. They started on time and finished on schedule. All work was quality and they had a very competitive price. I highly recommend them.

In my opinion, potential customers should beware of dealing with this company. Be sure that what they are forcing you to accept is what you really want. I will not deal with this company again in the future.

Mr. Smith was pleasant on the phone and while describing the scope of the job when he arrived here. He arrived on time, sealed several areas on the roof, and took photos which he forwarded to me. He discussed how much a replacement roof might cost and the scope of the work. I can't get on the roof myself to see exactly what was done, but I believe Mr. Smith did a good job, from the photos and his descriptions of the work he was going to do.

It went really well. I would definitely hire Ellis Smith again.

I bought "$199 for Roof Maintenance & Sealing!" coupon. I had some leakages. He came ontime and checked my roof and gave me estimation for the repair. He also told me, If I don't use the service I can get back the amount paid. The person is very nice.

We'll see if I still have a leak when it rains.

This work done on my roof was a slow process. The national weather at that time was very bad with weeks of bad weather cold rain and thunderstorms with hail. The weather had stopped progress where as fast as they could get to what they had there was more produced to deal with. I must say that Mr. Ellis was very professional and kept in contact through the bad weather that he had not forgotten us and was making sure that we were okay. I thought that was nice and it let me know that he was a compassionate man who took pride in his business. He was concerned about what people felt about him and his work. He helped me to know all that I needed to know and talk with my insurance about concerning making my claim. I was grateful for that. He got me the best price he could for the materials and went over all the details before I saw him begin. When the weather broke it took just a couple of days to complete and it was done correct the first time. My neighbors and everyone who comes by says how nice it looks and compliments with the color of my home.It was a job well done. I reccomend him to anyone who is looking foe good quality work done.

Mr. Smith showed up on time and was quite personable. I had mentioned that I had one spot under an overhanging eave where raccoons had gotten into my attic in the past. They had been clever enough to pull out the metal flashing to make themselves a doorway. Mr. Smith brought heavy gague sheet metal with him for just this purpose and securely nailed it in place to make sure there would be no further raccoon squatters in the attic. Mr. Smith thoroughly inspected the roof and emailed pictures he took with his smartphone showing the repairs he made as well as potential trouble spots. I felt he was quite straightforward with his advice/opinions and Mr. Smith never tried to "upsell" additional repairs beyond what was covered in the coupon. That was quite gratifying, and I would definitely call him when I have roof damage.

Arrived on time for scheduled appointment. Spent 30 min on roof. Did not provide meaningful information. did not do minor sealing (caulking) as advertised. In the end i did not feel like anything was accomplished for the money charger. He was friendly and polite but short on any technical explanations of my roof condition nor were any spot repairs done

The visit went very well. I had purchased a roof-repair "deal" from Ellis Smith Roof America through Angie's List last April, planning to use it for a general inspection as well as replacement of a blown-off shingle, sealing some leaks around roof vents, and some ideas on how to fix what appeared to be a hole gnawed into some chimney siding by a critter. I had not yet not gotten around to cashing in the "deal", before an enterprising young roofing-contractor salesman knocked on my door and offered a free roof inspection, mentioning that springtime hail storms had caused roof damage elsewhere in our neighborhood. I hadn't heard anything about this, but the inspection was free so my wife told him to climb up. Not surprisingly, he told us we need a new roof-- and explained how we could get our insurance company to pay for it. Having been in the insurance business myself, I knew it would not be that simple. Then I remembered the "deal" I had purchased a few months prior, and called Mr. Smith for a second opinion as well as to do the repairs I needed done. He climbed up, did the work I needed, and said the roof was in "average" condition -- not as good as new, but also not in need of replacement -- and that any insurance adjustor would likely see it the same way. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced, and I would likely have given him my business if he had convinced me that I need a new roof -- but, against his own economic incentive, he convinced me that I did not need one. I like working with people like that.

This is an honest and upfront businessman. I liked that he kept the problems simple and in laymen terms (as a woman, I know very little about roofs). He took pictures with his phone so that he could show me the problem. Then he repaired it. No fuss. Just good quality work.

Great service. He was on time and completed the inspection detailing issues I needed to address with my wife and emailed them to me as I was traveling (with pictures). Last, he pointed out the unknown damage I had to my rafters by squirrels. I would recommend his service to anyone.

Ellis arrived on time, explained what he was going to do on the roof and would take pictures of any issues. He replaced some tree damaged shingles, re-caulked the pipe vents, re-nailed and repaired some flashing and caulked a chimney gap. I went up on the roof after the inspection and he showed me what he had done and things I needed to take care of. I received an email summary of the work done with pictures.

He accurately defined our roof issues. He was very prompt, efficient and professional. He gave excellent advice on how to proceed with our roof. He was very good at his job and we were very pleased with the experience.

After a Thursday storm, which produced a leak around my skylight, I started calling on a FRIDAY AFTERNOON. I figured I'd be waiting until the following week for service, but Ellis answered the phone right away and was at my house within 1.5 hours. He diagnosed the problem, which was not the flashing as was originally thought, and made the repair. The price might seem a little strong for the time spent, but the fact that he made the correct diagnosis and came out so quickly more than made up for the price.

Several months ago I purchased a discount coupon for roof inspection, but it slipped my mind. I never made an appointment. Eventually, Angie's List emailed me and requested a review of the service. I got rather tangled up in the software and ended up giving the service a bad grade, though not a bad report. I said straight out that the service never happened because I forgot about it and never even made an appointment. When Mr. Ellis received the review, he phoned me, very friendly and professionally, and asked if I wanted him to perform the service AND refund my money. I explained to him my encounter with the review software and said that I'd love to have the service, but that it would be unfair to have the service AND a refund. The coupon had expired, but Mr. Ellis performed the service admirably and at no extra charge. He was on time and very professional. He inspected the whole roof, even though my roof is quite large, steep, and complex. It's a relief to know that the roof is sound and it's nice to have the chimney cap repaired. A leaky roof is one of the worst events that can befall a homeowner, and one of the most preventable. Yes, I would recommend this company to my friends, and yes, I'll hire them again.

I knew I had a leak in my roof, but it went so long since it rained, I couldn't tell exactly where the leak was coming from for several months. They did end up doing some work on sheetrock in my house as a repair from previous leak damage, which was done very well. Eventually they were able to find a leak in my skylight and I was a little apprehensive about how the repair would function, as well as look, but everything turned out great!

Did a great job. Filled some leaks. Told us the roof damage wasn't from hail as the house inspector had told us. Told us we didn't need any additional work on the roof. Came across as very honest

The attic fan needed to be replaced in its totality from the outside. I discussed the problems with Ellis on the phone, and since I did not know the Attic Fan size, he offered to come by first, take a look, drive to home depot, buy it, come back and install in on my roof. That is exactly what he did. He arrived on time, checked out my current attic fan, bought a new attic fan at home depot, and installed it was great care (loosing shingles, removing existing attic fan, installing new attic fan, etc.). He took great care to seal everything properly, and even checked out the rest of the roof while he was up there. I was very impressed, and I recommend him highly.
