It went pretty well. They came out as scheduled. They did the work and had extra help one of whom wasn't trained and the other one was good. I'm not sure we broke even from just having had the one guy come and I'm not sure the other guy didn't subtract time but he was kind of getting trained while he was here and got told to do some things but we had to keep checking on him because we couldn't really lose to do some things. I had more to do than they could do in a day but from my view point that was way too expensive to bring them back. I'll just do what I had left to do myself because that was too much money. I'm glad they came and so I didn't regret it but I thought if I'd had one good guy organized he would have gotten more done on my list. I had more on my little to do for electrician list than anybody could do but I think we lost some time trying to have a certain trainee help us.

It was marginal. I've never got my half back. They got two electricians. I thought that would be two electricians doing the work. I planned for two people. I wanted one to hang the ceiling fan and the one to hang the light fixture. All the other guy did was hold the ladder and hand him tools to hang the light fixture. It was like getting a handyman and an electrician. I didn't think that two people were warranted. He didn't do any electrical work at all. I didn't think it was what they were advertising. I expected two electricians to do the work and the one did not. I would never hire them again. They got the job done but they didn't get the job done that I would have liked. They didn't do it as advertised.

Luis did a great job installing a new light fixture and dimmer switches. He did a thorough job of diagnosing the issue and did a tremendous job. We highly recommend Lara Electric for great work!

We had a little glitch with the arrival date as there was an unforeseen car accident, but Lara's Electric was great to quickly get this rescheduled for a day I was off and available. They then showed up timely and worked hard for the entire five hours they were in my home. They were friendly and made the day go by quickly as they moved from one room to the other. I am having them back to continue the work next weekend. I will definitely use them in the future when things arise.

It cost more than I expected, but not having to pull new wire would have been more expensive. He did a good job of talking me into letting him trouble shoot the issue which prevented me from spending money I didn't need to.

Great! They were polite, timely. They did a great job explaining my options to me in order to make sure I was happy with the results. Awesome service - would definitely call them back if I needed any electrical work done.

Luis and his assistant did a fantastic job. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. Most importantly, I found them to be very trustworthy and charged a reasonable amount for good service. I would recommend Luis and plan to use him again in the future for any other electrical work.

Arrived as scheduled. Knowleageable, helpful, responsive pair. Handled my two small projects quickly and efficiently. Answered my questions, some not related to the projects. Very pleased.

Two electricians showed up (within the time frame that was initially indicated) and got right to work. I was advised that the bathroom fan install might require them to cut into the sheet rock and he indicated they would check with me BEFORE cutting so that I could decide if I wanted them to proceed (as I would be responsible for repairing the sheet rock). It turned they did not need to cut the sheet rock, but I was happy I would have the option to decide before they began cutting it! When it was determined that one of the fixtures needed a new ballast, Louis indicated he could go purchase it (with me paying for his time there and back and for the part) or I could leave to purchase it and he would work on other items on my list. I purchased the item and returned home to find all the other issues fixed and he was waiting to install the ballast in order to complete all my requested work. I was extremely pleased with the timeliness, the trouble shooting, the work, and the options presented to me. I will use them again!!!

He was great, he got all the rewiring done and noticed there were some other issues so he checked the socket and found the wiring wasn't connected so he was able to repair that as well.

Mr. Lara and I spoke via phone so that the work I needed could be outlined and communicated. He and his associate arrived on time and was shown the areas they would be working in. I expressed a slight change in plans since my wall units arrived this morning, that we would install them instead of pulling additional wires which I originally needed. His expression seemed unsure if he could install the chandelier within the hour that had been purchased, so I felt it was okay since they had started. They appeared to work slow, but I felt he was just being cautious. When the work was completed, he asked for my information so that he might send me an invoice. I asked how much it was and he said he had to calculate it. I suggested we calculate it now. That is when I found out the real deal. He was planning to charge me for 2 hours of work when he had completed the job in 2.25 hrs. (2hr 15min.), this included the hour purchased via Angie's list. He stated that he doesn't prorate an hour and that he had to make a living too! I am all about communication and knowing what to expect up front, but this time I felt blindsided. At this point, I knew we were off to a worse start than I had anticipated. I am in my home with two individuals communicating in another language, leaving me to feel "left out." of whatever is going on in my home! He stated that he had "never" had a problem in all his years of service, and that what he was doing was standard practice. He totally refused to understand my position, that this information had not been communicated before his work began, but he insisted that "I" was the problem, and that "I" got a good deal, while he starred me down in a demeaning manner, as he communicated. I wrote him a check for an agreed amount of 1.5 hours at ($75.00/hr), and thought the ordeal was over, but it wasn't. Without my permission, he proceeded "at will" to go through my house and take PICTURES of, what he called "his work", without my permission! I could not help but to feel overpowered and disrespected in my own home. I feel that because I was a woman, he felt empowered, but I feel he never would have done this to another man. My husband generally comes by to see who is working, but he couldn't get away today. He was very uncomfortable with the ordeal. If this is the type of person that I have to choose from via Angie's list, then I feel that I am on my own to find reputable, professional people that openly communicate and respect their customers. I had anticipated having additional work done prior to this ordeal, but now I am again very hesitant to take another chance on anyone. To: Lara Electric, In the end, we all must work to make a living, but doing your best job one day, may mean you get to work and have happy customers another day. Providing a service includes providing good customer service, whether "you" feel the customer is right or wrong, you are the professional!

The man was very nice and professional. My only beef was that we had to pay more money for the materials needed for him to actually fix the doorbell, once he figured out what was wrong. I thought since we had his services for a certain amount of time, that the costs would be covered. Not so.

we completed a large amount of work, probably more that could have been expected. Tech allowed me to prep things for him and help to make things go faster.

My kitchen light had stopped working, and he removed the light, discovered the problem, and installed a new fixture in its place, and replaced some light switches. Very friendly, very helpful, and I will definitely use him again!

Mr. Lara made an appointment to come out to evaluate the work before starting the actual job. He listened carefully to what I thought I wanted to do and then gave me excellent feedback on those ideas. In the end, I went with what he suggested and am delighted with the results. He gave us a detailed list of materials to have on hand the day of the job, and he provided some of the more specialized wiring necessities that a rookie would have had trouble selecting. On the day of the job, he arrived on time and got right to work. He brought drop cloths to protect the floors (we had moved the furniture out of the way in advance, per his request). This was an Angie's list special of $399 for 8 hours of electrical work, and he finished in 8 hours. We did have an extra charge for the materials he supplied, but he had already sent a detailed invoice, so we were not caught off guard and everything was very reasonable. I would recommend Lara Electronic without reservation. I have more upgrades planned and will probably have him back out, because he did a great job and has earned my confidence.

I called Mr. Lara based on his excellent Agies list overall rating and he did not disappoint. The problem I had with installing the new electric range was a tricky situation due to an incorrect installation attempt earlier which blew out the wall socket. Mr. Lara picked up a new socket at Lowe's, arrived on time, and installed the new power cord on the range and the new socket, plugged up the range and tested it to be sure all was working properly. It is such a pleasure to find an electrician who knows what he is doing and has hourly rates less than any other electrician in the area. You can bet all my electrical needs will go to his company in the future.

A bunch of small electrical jobs were taken care of - switches that didn't work, sockets that were broken - and several installations: fans, new porch light, new bathroom light. He arrived on time and worked quickly, professionally, and neatly. Very impressed with his ability and professionalism. Was very informative about the wiring, what needed to be done and what did not need to be done.

OMAR LARA of LARA ELECTRIC was an exceptionally horrible electrician for our particular project. First of all, he continually asked for money before it was due per our agreement with the company. He was also very rude, unprofessional and outright lied at many points during the project. Although he passed a couple of inspections, he said he had completed the wiring of the home. However, when we tried to turn on the power, there were no connections made in the electrical panel. He put the breakers in but did NOT CONNECT THEM! He also installed the can lights but did not connect them. Also, he misfired about 90% of the lighting switches and outlets and did not complete the installation of various HDMI cable and other items that he was supposed to have completed. He was paid in FULL for these services yet as explained did not complete the work nor did he do it correctly. We had to hire another electrician at additional expense to complete the work that he never finished. When we terminated him for his deceptive and unprofessional behavior and for his shoddy work, he ranted on and on about how we were inexperienced and it was all our own fault. I would highly advise NOT hiring Omar Lara or Lara Electric for ANYTHING. Also, we will be filing against his license with the Texas Board of Licensing for endangering the safety of the inhabitants. Use at your own risk!

Louis is professional, courteous, insightful, does craftsman-like work and has a can-do attitude... obviously we will be looking to work with him again.

Louis was fantastic! He arrived exactly when he said he would. He looked at the light fixture and realized a piece was missing so we went with me to Lowe's to help me get the right piece. He noticed that one piece wouldn't match color-wise to the fixture so he painted it so it would match. He gave me information on the best kind of light bulbs to purchase that will help save me money on my electric bill. He was extremely nice and did an awesome job. I will be using him again for sure and have already told my friends about him.
