Discovered a small water leak on the homeowners side of the water meter. Logged onto Angie's List to find a reputable plumber and these guys were at the top of the list (plus, I see their commercials all the time). Everything went great! The people on the phone were friendly, the technicians were knowledgeable, friendly, and super responsive. The repair took maybe an hour to complete and they showed me their completed work. They replaced about a foot of line (rubber hose looking stuff) and the fittings on either end, to my untrained eye, appeared to be about $20 in parts. Here's the part that left a really bad taste in my mouth. This repair, that took only an hour and a few parts rang in at nearly $550!! When I asked why so much the technician told me that it's just the company's standard charge for this type of repair. And it's because of this alone, I am going to most likely look elsewhere for future services and repairs.

We called to get my daughter's A/C repaired last night. It is over 100 degrees during the day and 90 degrees at night here in Texas. A representative was sent out and their key broke so that they could not fix the unit. They still insisted on charging a $200 emergency fee for coming out even though they did nothing and their key issue was not our fault. In fact, the supervisor, threatened my daughter if they did not pay. I do not recommend this company and I would recommend taking them off Angie's List. We will be calling the State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.

Noticed a gas leak within my house. Atmos turned off the gas on a Saturday night. Called Baker Brothers to request services on Sunday. They were able to come out the following day. I however coordinated for my free time. They were able to identify the cause, fix the leak, and have everything back to running form within 3 afternoons. It could have been faster if my schedule allowed more flexibility. The plumber was very professional and friendly. They even vacuumed the floor from all the insulation in the attic. The leak, repair, and rationale for the services were all explained. He was efficient and respectful of my house and my time. I'd definitely hire them again. I also liked that they are bonded and insured.

Very good. Ac went out Saturday evening. I emailed Baker Brothers at night and they called back early Sunday afternoon and had a person available to com to the house at 2pm. He replaced the capacitor and checked the Freon and verified that everything worked. The tech was professional and friendly. I had not used this company before but will definitely use them again.

Once they got here. They were professional and got the job done.

I was very impressed with Baker Bros and Tyler, the technician who came to our house. Our a/c unit stopped cooling the night before and since it was 106 degrees outside, we needed help quick. Baker Bros was very helpful when I called and promised to send someone that same day. Tyler showed up and he was very professional and took care of the problem quickly. I really liked the way he gave me different options and pricing so that I could make an informed decision. I will definitely be calling them again if we need any a/c or plumbing help.

Went smoothly without a hitch that I was aware of. Armando kept me updated on the status of the job, and he and his helpers were very respectful to me and my home. I was pleased and impressed.

Took only a few minutes to install. Unfortunately the service guys did not believe me that it was the thermostat and spent more than an hour checking my AC - I had my regular checkup service less than 6 weeks ago. They wanted to charge over $500 to install a replacement thermostat - I checked several online places that see AC parts and the thermostat in question retails for $81. I felt ripped off. They didn't have the new replacement unit so installed a used one that cost me $200 for the thermostat and their installation. In the process they told me I needed to replace something else that another AC company said was perfectly fine only a few months ago. My AC unit is only 6 years old and under a comprehensive warranty for parts and labor for 10 years. They seemed to lose interest at that point. They once replaced an AC vent grill and I got charged almost $300 for that. The vent was listed for around $35 retail online and they took only 10 minutes to remove and install the new vent. Baker Brothers do have good service I just don't care for their business practices of overcharging for services rendered even when one has their "family plan" that is supposed to discount service costs.

They showed up and diagnosed the leak was in the valves in there. They quoted more than 1200 dollars for this fix. I found it way too expensive for this fix. So they collected 39 dollars and left. On top of that the leak was not at the valves but at the union between the pex pipe and the copper pipe. Just tightening it fixed the issue. SO I guess the expensiveness is not due exactly to the know how to fix but the know how to talk people into expensive unnecessary fixes.
