Overall, it went great. They were all very professional and the estimator, Jared, was great to work with. He was professional, up front, and honest.

I initially chose Protek to paint the exterior trim and was impressed with the estimator, Jared , who described the prep and painting process. I received quotes from 2 other companies and was in no way impressed with their professionalism. Jared was professional and I looked forward to working with them. The first day and a half was spent on prep work outside and inside the house. After power washing was done, the crew scraped and sanded, spot primed and fixed loose trim, then recaulked all of the windows, doors, fascia, and trim. The second day the exterior painting was completed. The cabinetry, door and trim in the master bath was recoated with 2 coats of enamel on the third day. I was so impressed with their work, I asked them to repaint several interior walls, (that I did not have the paint for!) The crew worked with me to figure out the color and paint sheen and the walls were painted. The crew was efficient, neat and pleasant to deal with, as well as very accommodating. I plan to use Protek again when I decide to repaint the exterior trim. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

It went AWFUL! I would NEVER use Protek again. They do NOT even attempt to fulfill their "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" and if their sales guy Jarrod's lips are moving... he's lying! Their work was mediocre, I ended up doing a couple of evenings of touch ups because I didn't want these people back in my house, and they didn't do adequate prep work so we ended up spending a fair amount of time getting paint off of floors, and a banister and other places. Their cleanup is a joke! If your job is paint everything from Point A to Point B, they might be able to do the job, but if there is any fine detail, or a little more complexity to the job, expect to spend your time managing the crew, because their "supervisor" isn't going to do the job. ----------- It is important to me that I am able to effectively communicate with individuals whom I hire to work at my house, so that I get good quality work, with a minimum of consternation, and rework. So I ALWAYS inquire of sales people about the English fluency of their crews. I also take notes of all conversations with salespeople. Jarrod of Protek painting came out to give me a bid for interior house painting. I chose to get a bid from them based on Angie's List reviews and their materials and website that state: ?100% Satisfaction Guaranteed? and ?perfect BBB record?. I asked him about the English fluency of his crews he said all his crews speak English, my note on his bid states: ?all English speakers?. A few days later I called to clarify a few things on the bid, and was again told something that led me to take a note stating: ?all, 1 person not 1st language but fluent?. Which would lead me to believe that ALL their employees except one is a native English speaker. Later that day I scheduled our job for 6/26. On the day of the job the crew that showed up was Bernardo (the only person who attempted to speak with me in English), Elias, David and Salvador. At one point it took several tries to get Elias and David to understand I was asking what their names were. I said ?My name is David what is your name??, they looked at me confusedly for a second and then gave me their names. I asked them what the other person?s name was and they looked at me with expressions of NO COMPREHENSION, until I said ?como te llama?? and pointed to the area he was working. Bernardo and I walked through the job, and I made sure to point out 3 areas that I did NOT want painted because it was trim work that I had converted to latex through a very labor intensive 8+ step process. The prep work was proceeding fairly well when Jarrod showed up and we walked through the whole job again, and again I pointed out the areas that were not to be painted. This time several of the painters were in the area, and if their English comprehension was as high as was later claimed by Jarrod, they would?ve overheard our lengthy conversation on this. Bernardo left the job site sometime around noon without informing me he was leaving and that I should communicate any concerns to anyone else. He did not return until 5:15. At 3:00 I asked David where Bernardo was, with his limited English it took a little while to explain ?gone to the store.? While Bernardo who knew the details of the job was gone, all 3 of the areas that were NOT to be painted with oil paint were. Bernardo agreed to correct this by sanding and repainting with latex. I examined one of the doors that had supposedly been sanded and was not satisfied that I would get decent results. I pulled my supplies I?d used to do the full process and asked them to do this. They refused and said they would do a 3 step process. I accepted this in the hope that it will hold up, and to get them out of my house. Jarrod showed up for the final walk through and I described my issues and informed him that I did not appreciate his false advertising regarding his employees English fluency, Bernardo?s disappearance, my property not being treated well, and that I was not satisfied. He claimed all the individuals speak English. We did the walk through, and they made the requested touch-ups. I paid Jarrod by check, and he again said they aim for 100% Satisfaction, and again I informed him I was NOT satisfied with their false advertising, and deviating from the agreement (painting areas that were not to be painted). Again he claimed they speak English, which was not my experience as described above. No offers of price adjustment, or anything else to achieve ?customer satisfaction? were made. Other than any further touch-ups would be by someone whom I could communicate with. Had Protek been truthful with me about their employees English fluency and their supervisors extended absences I would have selected a different vendor.

I liked them. The guy double checks, somebody actually comes back unlike some other people. They were really good. They were really fast, they came out when I called. They were on time.

They are local and they are quick to respond when I called them about the estimate. They were also on time when they came here to do the work.

Jared from Protek gave me a quotation. I liked the way he explained everything and what the process would be. Protek came out a couple of weeks after I accepted the bid. I had hideous gigantic fluorescent lighting boxes in my kitchen, dated popcorn ceiling and a few patches here and there that had to be done. I also had a doorway that previously had double doors that I had removed. Protek took the hinges off and turned it into a smooth doorway without the holes, hinges and stops. I tried a dozen paint colors and the weekend before the painting I was still pondering a paint color. I called Jared the morning of the job to tell him my paint selection and his team still showed up on time that day. They put plastic sheeting up over the entrances to the areas to be painted to minimize the impact to the rest of the house. Protek's team did an outstanding job on all aspects of the project. The door jamb looks as if there were never hinges there and is completely smooth, the enamel paint matches all of my other trim. My walls are painted perfectly. The ugly popcorn ceiling is gone and I have an updated ceiling. Protek's crew cleaned up every day and left no mess behind. The job remarkably only took 2 days, Jared came by after the job was completed to make sure I was satisfied with the work. While he was there he gave me a bid on painting the exterior of my home. I will be hiring Protek this summer for that job. I am 100% satisfied with their work, the price, the professionalism and would recommend Protek.

We chose Protek to paint the interior and exterior of our house because they "seemed" reliable and were cheaper than our second choice. They started on the exterior. After supposedly finishing, we showed them a lot of places where the quality of their work was very poor. My wife had to baby sit their painters on the re-work and they had to re-do areas multiple times. The worst were the exterior doors. We agreed that they would do the doors early in the morning so they would have the whole day to dry before we closed them at darkness to avoid the paint sticking where the door meets the jam. They didn't listen, and sure enough the paint came off. They repainted once, but once again, did it too late in the day, and the paint came off again. But that wasn't the worst of it. The day they were suppose to start inside they said were worried because they thought they might break something when moving items inside and said they wouldn't do the interior. But they had seen everything inside when they bid the job and didn't have a problem at that time moving the items. We know the real reason is because they are used to providing inferior quality (I guess you get what you pay for) and they knew they would experience the same problem inside so they walked away from the job. This left us hanging, but ultimately, they did us a favor. We went back to our second choice, who did a magnificent job inside and even repainted the exterior doors for free that Protek couldn't get correct. While we paid more, we got a great job. No doubt if Protek had done the interior, there would have been problems and we wouldn't have been happy with the results. It will be interesting to see if Protek responds and what they "claim" really happened to save face.

Jared was GREAT to work with and very professional and courteous and had a sincere sense of wanting to please the customer, US. The detailed description on the estimate and his attention to detail was refreshing and left no room for "hidden" charges to pop-up later as has happened with others in the past. Jared made sure when his crew arrived that he was there to walk around with us and go over the extent of the work to be done so there was no room for the "he said, she said" game. The entire crew was very professional and made us feel as if their main objective was to please the customer and went above and beyond to do so. We couldn't be happier with the end result and we must admit they left the surrounding area cleaner than it was when they arrived. Would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for minor carpentry work and painting of their home. Jared made it clear that if we found ANYTHING that they might have missed not to hesitate to call and let him know and he would take care of it.

They were very personable, well-represented, very professional and very punctual. They wanna work with you. We're having tornado warnings that day and he called 20 minutes prior to let me know he's gonna be delayed a few minutes, and he still made it out in between the rain and the tornado. Their pricing was very good. I felt it was reasonable, too low, actually. Overall, it was a very good experience. I'd likely be contracting their services.

Dealing with Kory and his team has been Great. All contact was professional and timely. Everyone arrived on time and the work was finished quickly. The quality of the work is great the wooodwork for the chimmeny is better than when it was was installed. The house and all the doors where painted and really needed no touch ups. The one thing I noticed was very quickly fixed I am completly sastified and will have them do the insdie as well. i would be happy to reccomend Protek they do great work!

Jarrod Hamlin gave me an original quote for interior painting and wallpaper removal that beat several competitor's estimates. One of the reasons that I chose Protek was that Jarrod gave me a written quote during his first visit whereas the competitors had to email me later with their estimates, some of which took days or a follow-up call by me to ask for it. Because Protek gave me a better quote, I was able to add some other areas for wallpaper removal and paint which Jarrod easily adjusted my estimate on the first day of painting. Everything went smoothly as scheduled. I was told it would take 3 days to complete and that is what it took. Jemmy Martinez and his crew did a great job from start to finish. The prep work was done to ensure that everything was kept clean during painting. I was very pleased with the outcome of the wallpaper removal and retexturing of the walls to match the other walls in the house. The crew did a thorough job of cleaning up after the painting was complete. I will definitely call on Protek for any future painting estimates and would highly recommend them.

Protek did an awesome job painting the entire interior of a new house I was moving into. The previous owners had painted the house in bold, bright, and dark colors, so I knew this would require some work and multiple coats of paint. Jarrod was responsive to my phone calls from the very beginning and was very easy to work with over the phone and in person. He came out to do a quote and was thorough, quick, knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process. He was able to get me on the schedule, and they fill up fast! I had a pretty tight window that I needed the painting to be done, and everything was completed on time before the movers came. The crew did a thorough job prepping (covering all floors, removing outlet covers, masking off, etc), and the painting on the walls and trim was nearly flawless. I have received several compliments from friends at how good of a job they did. I would (and will!) definitely hire them again.

I selected the company from Angie's List after reviewing the customer comments. It was a good decision. They indeed did high quality work. They let me chose type of paints and sheen even though they thought that was unusual. The project took three days to complete, which is faster than I expected. They cleaned the house and moved back all the furniture. After the completion, i found there were a couple of area needed touch-up. I told Jarrod at finial check, he called the workers and they came back and finished the touch-up. I am very satisfied and will use the company again.

Painting and carpentry work was very good. The cleanup of the old replaced wood pieces which fell into the flower beds could have been cleaned up better. However, Protek did a very good job with this job and we were very pleased with their work. Jarrod, sales consultant, was very professional and great to work with.

Kory arrived right on time to give estimate. He was extremely helpful in picking color and explaining what services were included.. The crew arrived on Friday afternoon and Kory was there to give them instructions. they worked Friday, Saturday and finished on Monday. The house looks great and all work was professional

Kory did a thorough detailed estimate of the work to be done. We had several places where squirrels chewed boards and other places where the wood had weathered badly over the years. He discussed repair/replace options with us. Overall he spent about 2 hours assessing what needed to be done and getting our agreement on how to approach it. The work was started and completed on time. The work crew was professional, quiet, and polite. All the carpentry work was performed exactly as we agreed and it looks fantastic. Paint job also looks great. Everything was carefully masked off and there was no paint where it didn't belong. Absolutely no paint over spray or splatter. The entire job was completed in a little over 2 days. The price was reasonable for the amount of work done. We are very happy with the results.

Jarrod came out and gave us an estimate that included details of all repairs that would need to be made. In addition, information on what would be done and how long it would take. Our house is 17 years old, so desperately needed a facelift. Jarrod was able to accommodate our schedule. He provided paint samples which made our paint choice much easier. They arrived on time and worked until dark each day. The job took 2 days. We had a couple areas we asked that they go over again and they did so quickly. They did a great job and were very accommodating.

Jared came out promptly to give us an estimate of the project...very knowledgeable and professional. On the day we agreed on, Jimmy and his painting crew started work at 9am and worked until after 7pm to finish the job. The following day, Jared came back for a walk through. We were very satisfied with the quality of the work done. Our home's appearance was much improved with the new paint.

Jared completed the estimate and gave it to me before he left. A few days later the painters arrived to paint. It took two days just as they said it would. I was amazed the job was so perfect upon walk-through. They were very professional and quick, and they all seemed to take pride in their work. One thing I can say was different about the whole team is they seemed to enjoy working for Protek. I think that says more than anything. Happy employees make happy customers.

Everything went well from start to finish - great job - no issues or complaints

We had a great interaction with Protek from the very beginning. They were quick to respond to our initial call and came out, on time and were excellent with understanding our needs and how they could assist. Jarrod was professional, courteous and explained the scope of work. As a first time home-buyer and thus first time client of a painting company, Protek was perfect. We did what we should do and got other quotes and although different, the scope and price were similar...however the service from Protek set them apart. They helped us understand how colors would work, how different sheen's protected the walls, they made suggestions but never forced more work or cost on us. I don't want to end this without mentioning the team that painted; what great workmanship, what care for our home and items and what a wonderful job.

We have had painters in before and we weren't impressed. We used Angieslist to find a top rated painting company and came across Protek. We were very happy with the results, we were ok with the price, and the outcome and quality was excellent. We will use them again for sure in the future.

The service was great. Jarrod was very professional and very prompt. He answered all of our questions and was very accommodating. They laid down plastic and did a very clean and nice job. The office staff were friendly to work with as well. The entire experience was very nice and I plan to use them again in the future.

They did a great job. We were really pleased with them. We will use them again this coming spring. When doing the work they did it cleanly.
