High Tech Redneck

Description of Work: Computer monitor would not work. Was getting no signal from the computer. Took it in to these folks and the promptly determined it was a bad graphics card. Told me where I could get the card and mentioned they would install it if I wanted them to. Opted to do it myself. Of course I ran into problems. Took it back on 11.26/2012 and they found two problems. One, I had inadvertently knocked the power cord out from an internal hard drive and two, the graphics card I had bought required two power connections, but only one was furnished. The technician connected the hard drive power. He also found an extra power connector for the graphics card and hooked it up. Everything then worked wonderful. On asking how much I owed, I was told"No charge". Would use this service again and heartily recommend them to friends in the future.

Description of Work: This is the probably the 4th or 5th time I have used High Tech Redneck. This time my HP desktop had black boxes popping up on the screen. They diagnosed the problem with a few hours. They contacted HP to check on my warranty, got the shipping box from HP and shipped it out. I got my computer back in about a week to 10 days. They even backed up my files in case HP messed them up. These folks are unbelievable in their customer service. They are prompt, call you quickly with test results and when we have had bad virus or malware problems have cleaned the pc's at a very good cost [ service is $97]. They are the personification of what you would want with this type of service. I would NEVER go to a big box store where they do not know you, care about your situation and take days or weeks to solve the problem. We have used them in many different instances including when I bought a new pc, they loaded the software I wanted from my old , transfered all the files from my husbands old one to my old one....just incredible. I intentionally did not want Best Buy to load my new pc even though I bought it from them. It was worth the $97 to know that our two computers were in trusting hands and that we would get incredibly fast turnaround on it. We love them!
