Mark was courteous, responsive and very likable.
The reason I ended up hiring a different company is that Mark Fox needed 2 weeks to set it up and wanted us and our pets out of the house. That was unfeasible for us, so I went with a company (Attics to Basements) who only needed a day to set it up.
A friend of my mother's in the estate sale/auction business attended the sale and pronounced it the best run estate sale he had ever seen. He said he could have never have attempted it because of the sheer quantity of things to be staged and priced. Mark also hired an antiques appraiser to come from Dallas to be sure pricing was accurate. The sale grossed way more than I expected. The higher commission was fair becasue Mark provided lodging for his helpers and spent considerable time at the property. It was more than made up for by the huge success of the sale. Buyers even came from Dallas and many areas of East Texas.
Mark is the consummate professional and should be at the top of the list for someone needing an estate sale.
I was able to hand over everything to him and his staff and leave town. I felt very comfortable leaving know that he would take care of the entire process.
He transformed the chaos into a showcase of my friend's prized possessions. I was kept updated on the progress and was able to view the transformation via pictures posted online. The sales was extremely successful and I credit his marketing of the sale and the amazing displays that were created. Everything was set up beautifully.
It was such a relief to know that I did not need to be there to check on everything. It is clear that Mark has put together a great team and that he has a passion for his job.
"This was totally my fault. I was working on a large sale in Denton and had made plans to stop by his house on my way home. It was that time of year with the bad bug that was going around and it caught me during the day while I was working and just kept getting worse and worse throughout the day. One of my friends/workers made the comment; "man, it's really got you bad doesn't it?". We closed the house to end the day and all I could think about was getting home and then going to the doctor, I totally forgot about stopping by. I relapsed two times, I had to ask the client if I could postpone the sale a couple of weeks. I just completely forgot about going by [member information removed]'s home and I have to apologize for that. The whole reasong I put my business on angieslist.com was so that clients could leave their reviews of my service, good or bad which would help new potential clients decide whether or not they would want to interview me for my services. [member name removed] had sent pictures of the beautiful antiques he has and asked if I could consign them. I had told him that if and when I had a home that was empty enough to add the furniture to a sale I would let him know. To date I still haven't had a sale empty enough to add any furniture. I had also expressed to [member information removed] that at this time antiques were a very hard sale and he seemed to have an attachment to them. I would have hated to disappoint him because they didn't sale and would have to be picked up or they sold at half which is what happens to most furniture pieces new or antique. Again, I take full responsibility for not getting back with [member information removed] and feel just horrible for not notifiying him of what was going on with me and to re-schedule."
The signs leading to our home were placed in appropriate locations. He grouped all items in categories. He gave us an estimate of how much we might net. His estimate was correct.
