Bruce showed right on time and went through want needs to be done and gave me a quote. I negotiated a bit and he brought the price down to what I was comfortable with. He went ahead and installed the 2 door frame reinforcements after which he installed the new dead bolt. Later he came back in the evening as he wasn't satisfied with the way the dead block was locking so he came back and changed it. He even changed the dead block cylinder instead of the front door as it was cracking, for no cost.

I was impressed and amazed by the service provided by this contractor. On a Sunday afternoon when no others were willing to come unlock a bathroom door accidentally locked by my four year old granddaughter, this provider was at my door step in a short time, unlocked the door, took the time to demonsrate how to unlock this type of door the next time it got locked up, and to top it all, he did not charge me a penny for the service! I will not hesitate to use the excellent services of this provider in the future and would highly recommend him to others who need his services.

Bruce was very polite and went right to work. He was knowledgeable and even thought to suggest turning my existing locks so that the deadbolts all turned the same direction when opened or locked. He was also very conscientious about sweeping up the mess the project made. I would definitely use Firehouse Locksmiths again in the future.

Wow! I was impressed! Bruce is truly a great guy. He understands customer service. As a business owner myself it's hard to find quality people to provide quality service however Bruce is the real deal. The moment I called him until the time the job was complete he was courteous,professional, reliable and hard working. I last used them back in October or November. I liked everything about them. The guy was awesome and very responsive when I called. He came within the next day. I was putting up a storm shutter on my back door and I wanted all my doors to me keyed to the same one. He was very professional, very courteous, did top quality work, extremely fair on his prices and he gave us a discount. I would recommend him as a locksmith anytime. I spent about $300.

Came in one hour to fix the jammed door lock.

I contacted Fireplace Locksmith, LLC through Angie's List. Bruce responded to my inquiry, asking me to call him so we could discuss the details. He was hesitant to offer a quote over the phone because, as he says, it often turns out that what is requested is not necessarily what is needed, and the actual needs may change once he gets a chance to look at it. He was very upfront with his estimates, and did not pressure me to make an appointment; Bruce even encouraged me to talk it over with my husband and get back to them. Estimate: $185, to replace 2 locking doorknobs, replace the garage door lock, and re-key two other deadbolts and a locking doorknob to match. Since my husband and I had already discussed it, and the locks were a bit of a fire hazard, I went ahead and scheduled a time for Bruce to come out. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and after I showed him the offending doorknobs, he asked if I might be interested in seeing if he could fix them rather than replacing them; said it would save us some money if he could reuse our hardware. After working with one of the knobs, he discovered that the door was actually warped by a previous locksmith tightening the bolts in the knob sufficiently to bow in the door. Bruce used a screwdriver to level the door, and tightened the knobs enough to be secure, but made sure everything worked perfectly. He also lubricated all of the locks in our home. And since we were using the same hardware, he didn't need to re-key anything. Bruce is my hero! Then to the garage door. Bruce had to replace the original locking mechanism as it would not work with our Kwikset key. He spent about an hour replacing it and making sure everything worked smoothly inside, and that it worked with the key outside. He even spent some time making sure I understood how to use the key with the lock, since a bar lock (with high tension springs) is not the quite same locking mechanism as a deadbolt lock. Actual total for all that time and work, $80. I could not be happier with the results. Bruce was personable, knowledgeable, and determined to fix the problems presented to him in the most economical way possible. While I don't foresee any more lock issues in my home, I would definitely use Firehouse Locksmith, LLC again if something does come up, and I cannot recommend them enough!

Bruce is just fantastic! I am glad to have hired him for this job. He re-keyed the doors and found a mis-alignment on the front door (which I forgot to tell him) and fixed it. Gave me lot of tips to fix some other doors/locking related things. Very professional, courteous, affordable and knowledgeable. Absolutely agree with every other positive/glowing review. We are glad to have found a locksmith for life!

Seth did a fantastic job from beginning to end! He was friendly, professional and trustworthy. I got a great price quote over the phone, scheduled a day to come, he arrived on time, worked carefully and efficiently, cleaned up the boxes and sawdust. He was very good about explaining everything upfront, every detail about how the different locks/knobs worked. I especially was impressed that he meticulously worked on each door to make sure the hardware worked perfectly and smoothly, and that the square back plates were perfectly straight and aligned. The new hardware looks so beautiful it makes me want to replace all of the doorknobs throughout the house! Without a doubt I will call Seth (Firehouse Locksmith) to do it!

After checking Angies List, I called Firehouse Locksmith LLC on Saturday morning to discuss an estimate. I explained that I needed a new locking handset for my back door and five other locks rekeyed. I was given an estimate which included the cost of the new locking handset. As the price seemed to be a good value I told him that I would like to make an appointment to have this done. Bruce told me that he would be able to come sometime in mid-afternoon after he finished two other jobs. As I did not wish to pay an overtime or weekend charge, I assured him that the next week would be fine with me. He quickly assured me that there would be no extra charge. He promised to call when he knew the time he would arrive. When I received the call he told me he would be arriving in twenty minutes. Twenty minutes later he was at my home. After showing him where all of the doors were, he quickly went to work. Not only did he do what we had earlier agreed on, he spent extra time realigning dead bolt striker plates that had not been installed properly when the home was built. He did not charge an additional fee for this last service. My comments regarding Bruce are the fact that he is a very courteous, kind, well spoken, professional person. He knows what he is doing! Additionally, he does it at a fair price. I only wish that all of my dealings with companies in the repair business were as pleasant as this one. I highly recommend this company. If I could have given a three A rating instead of only one I would have done so.

Bruce was highly professional and exceptionally friendly. Slightly late to show up but he called me several times in advance to say that he had been delayed on an earlier job, which is totally understandable. Very communicative before showing and was exceptional in offering to show me how to disassemble the door knobs for my upcoming painting plans. Very reasonably priced and courteous. Would definitely use this company again.

We asked him to do one additional thing, which he did, but he still stuck to his original quoted price and did not add the add-on to the bill.

Everything was wonderful! Bruce was incredibly professional, prompt and came the same day since we were on a time crunch and going out of town. He did a great job in re-keying the doors and making sure they all open/close the correct way.

When we moved into our house, we changed out all of the original door hardware to Baldwin smart key door locks so that we would be able to key the locks on 14 doors ourselves. To save you the details, it was a mess, some keys would work on some of the doors but other keys wouldn't although some would work. We decided to bite the bullet and just go through the expense of a locksmith. I decided to call Firehouse locksmith which I found through Angie's. I can't say enough great things about this company! They not only came the same day but they worked several hours fixing our issue and making duplicate keys. We had a defective deadbolt that needed to be replaced so they waited while I went to purchase a replacement. I had to leave early so they finished the job while my wife and her parents were still at the house. Later that day I received a phone call from this locksmith to make sure I was pleased with there service. I told him that not only were we pleased but I felt like he had under charged me (a first for me) but he assured me that he had charged me correctly and that he was glad I was satisfied. This is a great company with a lot of integrity! I highly recommend this company and I will definitely use them again when needed!
