Fast Fix Garage Door

I called on Saturday afternoon when I noticed my garage door wasn't working well. They were very responsive, and set up an appointment for Monday morning. The technician called on Monday to confirm the appointment and tell me what time he would arrive. He was here on time, was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He gave me a quote, which I accepted, and fixed the door. I got a discount for the Angie's List membership. Fast and professional. A good experience.

Our garage door spring broke on Sunday afternoon. I called Fast Fix Garage Door at 8 AM on Monday. Pauline answered promplty and offered to send someone to fix the door earlier the same day but I asked them to come between 4 and 6 PM. Pauline informed me that Steve was the name of the individual that would fix our door. Steve called at 3:45 to let me know he was on his way. He arrived a few minutes after 4. Steve was friendly and after looking at the type of door, priced two options. A single spring with a 5 year warranty and a two spring option that carried a 10 year warranty. Because we plan to sell our house in the next 18 months we chose the single spring option which cost about 1/3 less. It took Steve less than an hour from the time he arrived until he completed the replacement. He also lubricated the door's roller bearings and joints where the five door sections are connected. After Steve finished, the door opens and closes as quiet now as it did when first installed 9 years ago. I am very satisfied with the work done and would recommend this company to anyone needing a garage door spring replaced.

Great service. I called yesterday to set up an appointment, and Steve was able to come out the next morning. He called within the time window I was given and was prompt in showing up when he called to say he was on his way. He replaced the spring quickly, adjusted the garage door opener, and greased the opener rail and was in and out in about thirty minutes. I would definitely call them again in the future.

Fantastic service and operation. Everything performed as advised and requested including arrival time. Steve is a consummate professional and he even he performed bearing checks/lube and the door hardware without being asked. This business sells openers, doors, repairs, installs and I would recommend be your first call for anything related to your garage.

Our car was stuck in the garage due to a broken spring on the garage door opener. I found this company on Angie's List and called them about 11 a.m. Both the lady answering the phone and the service guy were very friendly and professional. The company had no openings until the next day, but when they learned of our emergency with a car stuck in the garage, they made efforts to arrange their schedule to fit us in. The service guy arrived 2.5 hours after my initial call and performed the work quickly and professionally. We were impressed. The cost seemed somewhat high, but who are we to complain about the price being a little high when the response time and service were so good.

The overall experience was perfect, aside from my embarrassment at overlooking something so obvious (although it wasn't obvious to me at the time). At the completion of the effort - the rep had done an overall inspection of the system and found no more problems - I asked how much I owed for the service call and was told, and I quote, "Nothing. I didn't do anything." I insisted that he at least charge something for his trip and time, and he finally said, "Okay... twenty bucks," which I cheerfully paid Do's and Don'ts: If you have a garage door problem, DO call Fast Fix; DON'T waste a lot of time and energy trying to fix it yourself. It will be very frustrating, and can be quite dangerous (that door spring can do a lot of damage if it breaks or gets loose).

Very friendly, on time and helpful explaining what was going on, what he was doing and basic maintenance tips I should perform going forward.

I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. The appointment was a 2 hour window in which the technician (Steve) would call to let me know when he would arrive. Steve was punctual and very professional. He performed maintenance on the garage door and replaced the rollers and an end plate. The garage door is like new. I will certainly contact Steve in the future for any garage door issues.

This company is awesome! My wife told me she couldnt get the garage door open so I went to see what the problem was. Took me about 15 seconds and realized the spring had broken over night. I got the garage door open manually so the wife could go to work and immediately hopped on Angie's List. The first company I came across with great reviews was this one. I called at 9 am and asked if they could do same day repair. The lady said Steve could be out between 12-2 same day! Steve called at 12 and said he would be here at 12:30. Sure enough, Steve showed up right at 1230. He was very friendly and explained everything to me. He was in and out in about 40 minutes. Garage works great and it came with a 5 year warranty. Could not have asked for more! Thanks FAST FIX!!

I called and scheduled the appt. for Wed. between 2 - 4 p.m. Steve called me when he was on his way and arrived at 2:30p.m. He replaced our broken coil (spring) on our double door along with a hinge and made sure it was oiled and managed to make it sound quieter than we've ever had it! I asked him to look at our single car garage door as the house is 9 yrs old and he said most springs don't last more than 7 yrs. It sounded like it was "clicking" when it was going up which he said means most likely that it will break in the near future. He told me he would only charge an additional $100 to replace the spring on the single garage door so I decided to go ahead and do it also. He was very personable and friendly and explained exactly what he was doing. I would definitely call Fast Fix Garage Door again and would highly recommend!

I did receive my advance call and he arrived as scheduled to immediately work on the problem at hand. It took him about 45 minutes from arriving to leaving to perform the service. I was very impressed with all aspects of the service from the courtesy to pricing to quality of the work done. He even took the time to explain how I can do regular maintenance on my own to keep the door in top condition. I have already placed another service call for them to help me with an estimate to replace 2 overhead doors at our business. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend Fast Fix Garage Door to anyone who needs help with garage doors.

Did good job but failed to tell me we would have to reprogram the car and remote garage door openers. If he had mentioned it I imagine he could have taken 3 minutes to get it done. We had to go online to find manuals and had problems getting it done correctly. The spring he replaced is great.

Called that morning to schedule an appointment and they had one available for the following morning. I received a call a little later and was told that they'd had a cancellation and she asked if I wanted them to come out that afternoon. I took the earlier appointment and he was right on time. He had the door repaired and was on his way out within 45 minutes. Fast, friendly service!

The spring in our garage door broke and he came out and installed a new one. Also recommended a new size of spring since the one in our home was made for a single door and we have a double. He also looked at the opener itself and said in the next few months we would need a new one and to think of them when it goes out. We choose at this time to replace the opener itself and he came back out the next day and did a great job for us. very happy!

Our garage door spring broke late Friday afternoon and I was able to place a quick call and get an appointment scheduled early the following morning. The customer service was excellent and Steve who did the labor on the job called in advance and did a fantastic job. He also helped us with servicing the garage door remote connected to our house and all is working fine. Please note we went with the double-spring install so prices can be lower for those who wish to have a single spring installed. Very happy customer and thanks to Angie's list for helping us find them.

The gentalmen from Fast Fix Garage Door was right on time. After a short discussion about the door he had it fit with in the hour. Also make some small adjustments. Over all a JOB WELL DONE. I would hire him again and let my friends know abut the company if they need there garage door fix.

I called on a Sunday afternoon and they had someone out Monday morning to fix the door. He also found several hinges on my door that needed to be replaced from wear and tear. I was extremely pleased with them an would definitely use them again.

One of our garage doors (of 3) suddenly became crooked and would not go up or down (hung half way down). The cable was wound around the top rod on one side. The door had not hit anything. It needed to be fixed right away as we were returning to Dallas that evening from our farm near Sherman. My husband was smart enough to know this was not something he could fix. I checked Angie's list for garage repair companies that were not too far away and chose Fast Fix Garage Door in McKinney. I called at 7:30 am of the next day (the day we had to leave) and spoke to Pauline. She said Steve would be out between 11am and 1pm. He came with all kinds of parts because he did not know what the problem was. He would give me an estimate when he checked the door. I said O.K. hoping it would be reasonable (we were desperate). He immediately diagnosed the problem (worn out spring), selected the right one from several different kinds he carried on his truck, and replaced the bad spring. He reset the cables and drums and lubricated the hinges, rollers and spring. We had him check the other 2 doors since they were all 12 years old. They were O.K. but he adjusted the tension and lubricated the springs. He charged $49 each for the 2 doors, which we thought was reasonable. He gave us a $25 discount (website, which I had checked for their hours). I think we would have gotten the same discount as Angie's List members. There is a 30 day warranty on labor and a 10 year warranty on the spring. In talking to Steve I learned that the business consists of him, his nephew and his wife, Pauline. He agreed to check our garage door in Dallas for $49. I made an appointment. I was extremely pleased with the service and price and would not hesitate to recommend Steve's company.

My son and I were unable to leave for school because our garage door would only open a foot. I found Fast Fix on Angie's List, called them up and was told that someone could be out to my house between 10-12 maybe sooner. At 9:00, Steve called and said he was on his way. He showed up and explained that my spring was broken and needed to be replaced. He went through my options and explained why each option could work. He gave me the prices for both options and let me decide. There was no pressure to choose the higher priced option or anything, just the information about what each option would get me. After I made my choice, Steve installed the new spring and reset the cables. He then tested the door in front of me to verify that it was working. Steve was veryquick, professional and I would definitely use this company again in the future.
