Collin County Sprinkler

We called CCS Sprinkler to fix one of out sprinkler zones and adjust sprinkler heads. Justin came out and arrived when they said they would. Justin found the problem quickly and replaced a faulty valve. He was a true professional and got the valve replaced. I asked him to check the sprinkler heads and he replaced nozzles where needed and adjusted the others. He was friendly and very easy to work with. He did not try to upsell us. I gave him a budget ($300) and he fell well under the budget ($110). I recommend CCS Sprinkler to anyone considering repairs of their sprinklers. I would definitely use them again. Thank you Justin for a great job!

One of the zones in my sprinkler system stopped working in my front yard. The controller indicated it was on, but there were no sprinkler heads open and spraying. After researching Angie's List, I called and setup an appointment with Collin County Sprinkler and Lighting. On the phone I was told their labor rate is $85 an hour. I was also told if the problem is a bad valve the parts could run from $15 to $50, depending on the valve. My appointment was set for Saturday, July 20th between 11am and 1pm. Jorge arrived promptly at 11am. I was able to provide Jorge with the sprinkler system schematics drawn up by the installer of our sprinkler system. The first thing Jorge did was manually turn on the troubled zone from the controller. Of course, the sprinkler heads did not pop up. Jorge located the valve for the troubled zone, and was able to manually turn on the zone via the valve. Jorge stated this indicates a break in the wiring between the valve and the controller. Jorge used a device similar to a metal detector to locate the break in the power wires. Using the schematics I provided, he walked the property following the drawing until he came across a break in the wiring in the back yard. Jorge told me he would have to dig down to the sprinkler pipes(about 6-8 inches) to access the power wires. I told him to go ahead and dig. I mentioned to Jorge we had a contractor install a larger concrete slab and and a covered patio two years ago. This contractor had to reroute the sprinkler pipes around the newly laid concrete slab in order to dig holes for the patio posts, and relocate the sprinkler heads. Jorge found two breaks in the power wires directly in the area the previous contractor had rerouted our sprinkler system pipes. Jorge stated over a long period of time, an improperly connected power wire can come loose, and lose connection, especially with the sprinkler system being used on a regular basis. After reconnecting the power wires properly, Jorge filled the holes he dug, and went to the controller to confirm the troubled zone worked. Jorge was able to turn on the troubled zone via the controller, resolving our issue. After resolving this issue, Jorge walked the property with me to confirm all zones are working properly, and to give advice on any sprinkler heads that needed adjustment for proper coverage. I was relieved to learn I was to only be charged the hourly rate of $85. Jorge finished promptly at 12:00 noon. I wrote a check for $85, and thanked Jorge for his hard work and due diligence. I will definitely use Collin County Sprinkler in the future. Jorge was fast, efficient, honest, and to the point.

Jason, from Collin County Irrigation, came out to repair a leaking control box and adjust sprinkler heads throughout the system. Jason was approximately 3 hours later than scheduled, but his dispatcher promptly called during the time he was suppose to be at the house to explain the delay. Jason was professional and took care of the leaking control box, but was running out of time to adjust all of the sprinkler heads. I called his office the next week and they promptly sent Jason back out to finish all the adjustments, both to the control box and to the sprinkler system at no extra charge. I will definitely do business with them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on an irrigation system.

I called to get an estimate and they provided me with an estimated time and price. They were able to show up the very next day between the time slot provided. The work was performed quickly and the price was within $50 of the estimate. It would have been closer if I told them the right part that was broken (I thought it was a valve). The sprinklers are working amazing and there were no surprises. I would definitely use them again!

Once I made my decision to go with CCS they started installing the system one week later and completed all eight zones in one work day.

They came out, looked, and gave me a quote to do both lawn irrigation as well as foundation irrigation and also our flower beds and things like that. They installed like a six or seven zone irrigation system.

The work was done is one day. They crew was fast and efficient.

George showed up on time and did an excellent job and checked operation of the system.

Scheduled an appointment on Monday for arrival early Wednesday morning. Jason arrived on time and was ready to start work immediately. He went out of his way to break as little of the concrete and bricks as possible to get to the broken pipe. After repairing the broken pipe he checked the rest of the system and found 2 buried heads and 4 broken heads which he replaced. The buried heads had been there since the house was built and no other sprinkler service people had noticed the gaps. I thought the price was very reasonable for the work performed. I would definitely use this company again.

Contacted the vendor by email via their web site, had a response within a hour; made appointment for next morning. Worker was on time, polite and professional. Did an excellent job and provided the documentation needed to submit to city for renewal of watering permit.

Very responsive...called 1 day and he came out the next, and he arrived right on time. Spent about 1 1/2 hours here. Very nice man.

Provider claims to service Collin County but does not go to Anna Tx which is in Collin County.

I was moving into a 7-year-old house that I just purchased. The inspector called out some sprinkler issues. I called Collin County Sprinkler on Friday and they were able to get out on Monday. Jorge was excellent, got it all fixed in an hour, replaced one head and adjusted five, replaced one control box. I thought the price was very reasonable and the service was great.

I called for an appointment on Monday, 4/22/13, and Jorge with CCS&L came out the next day at the scheduled time. He fixed one busted sprinkler pipe and replaced three bad sprinkler heads in our front yard. We tested them and they work like new. CCS&L was prompt, reasonably priced and fixed the problems. I will use them again as needed.

The company returned our call soon after we called requesting they get to the house in a few days. Carlos showed up before we arrived at the house and spoke to the tenant. He was very good.

I think they've been very good. One thing that made them good is their responsiveness. The guys that come out have been nice to work with.

I submitted an online request for a quote on installing a sprinker system on Saturday 3-16 and Steve called me on Sunday. He wanted to come and look at the yard at his convenience, but I wanted to meet with him on Thursday or Friday when I'm off work. He said he didn't know what his schedule would be and couldn't plan that far in advance so would call me Thursday to let me know when he could come out. I never received a call back.

I called this company to get a quote for them to refurbish my 4 existing sprinkler zones and to add 2 or 3 more zones. I had to leave a voicemail, then they called me back and the young lady was nice and asked me what I was wanting to do so I explained and she said someone would be contacting me to schedule a visit to give me an estimate. That was 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard from anyone to do any scheduling. Apparently a couple of thousand dollars of business isn't enough to garner their attention. I have moved on to other companies that seem to want my business.

Steve provided me a quote in a very timely manner, and it was clear. Once I agreed to have CCS do teh work, Steve came back and provided me a detailed design upon request. The crew came out on time and completed the job the same day. I inspected throughout the day, and the crew was doing a great job; very professional. I am pleased with the coverage and quality of service thus far. Ruben came out and walked me through how to use the timer and showed me the coverage. For drip lines, they install pop up heads that don't spray, to use as indicators to let you know that zone is active; a very nice touch that I didn't realize I was getting! I also got a rain/freeze sensor with my system. Garden drip zones were for every garden area I had, even the smallest of ones (I have 7 different areas). The crew did a good job on cleanup after the work was completed, and moved excess dirt to various low spots in the yard. I was so pleased with the crew for digging out a concrete fence post pour that was in the middle of the yard! The little extra efforts make a big difference to me, and it was very much appreciated!! I would have preferred to see the valve boxes placed in the garden beds, rather than the lawn, but I did not specify, so I am not complaining. Problem with myself, not with CCS. Warranty on parts and labor for 3 years is great! I already had a car run over one of the heads close to the driveway (unintentionally) and there was no damage. They don't install the heads on risers, but rather flexible boots. What a relief to know that if I do manage to damage anything, I have a solid warranty to fall back on though.

At the time, our contractor had somebody else lined up to do the work and they did not show up for three days. I called and told them not to come. Then, somebody referred me to Collin County. They did excellent service. They showed up with competent help.They just showed up and did a wonderful job. They gave us a three year warranty. They came back out and checked everything. They did a wonderful job at a competitive price.

I used CCS for a leak in our sprinkler system. Originally, I thought the recent cold weather had caused a split in the sprinkler feed from the main water supply. I had dug down around the leak and was unable to find the problem, so I called in someone who who know how to better repair it than I could. I am glad I did. The problem was caused by a tree root pushing into the sprinkler feed line from the main. The root had displaced the line far enough that it had begun to leak substantially. The problem was far deeper and the problem much worse than I had originally thought. The crew dug a much deeper, wider hole and showed me the problem. For an experienced, two man crew, it was an easy fix. The cost was just right for the amount of time and the complexity of the problem. I will use them again in the future.

The service has been spectacular overall! Their price and service is better than other companies I have worked with. They install the system in a way that doesn’t allow the system to break easily. They use better quality hardware, too. It’s been a great experience working with them.

The experience was good. They showed up the next day, and the job was exactly what they said it would cost. I thought the line would be deeper; it’s pretty much on the surface of the lawn, but overall, I’m happy with the work did.
