The paint job was great. Gary had a team of 4 guys come in one morning and within 4 hours they the entire job complete. They did a excellent job protecting my lawn and landscaping surronding the pool. The plants and bushes actually come in contact with the fence in most areas. I was concerned that there would be signicant overspray on the shrubs and they would kill my plants. I had been warned by my landscaper that this happens frequently. The crew did a great protecting the landscaping and the fence looks great.

It went very well. They did an outstanding job. very courteous and timely. We had absolutely no issues with them at all.

Although our home is only three years old, our wood garages had faded dramatically and needed to be re-stained. We had CertaPro re-stain one double and two single wood garage doors as well as some wood framing and vents on our home's exterior. Gary's team arrived on time and began powerwashing the areas. I was concerned about the color match since we were not using the original stain, so the team did a sample section and waited for it to dry before I was sure it was a good match. They completed the work in a timely and neat manner, and we are very pleased with the results.

I?ve never had a home project go so poorly. This review will detail exactly what we experienced. You can decide if it?s worth the risk to work with them. We were impressed with CertaPro?s pitch. The presentation was polished, the sales guy was likable. The sales guy will not be performing or supervising your project. Monday - job starts. We meet our site manager, Frank. 4 painters. Progress feels slow, but understandable with prep. Frank mentions he?ll be gone for part of Tuesday. No problem. Tuesday & Wednesday - No sign of Frank. Progress is slow. End of day Wednesday the job is < 50% done. They estimate completion on Thursday. Seems optimistic. Wednesday evening - wife finds an open paint can on the carpet in our bedroom. No lid, no pad. Not good. We send a picture to our sales rep and say we?re moving it before our dog gets into it. We then find dirty ladders and paint cans piled on a new rug in our living room. Some on a mat, and some directly on the rug. I move everything off and find spots of paint on the rug. Again, really not good. I asked Frank on Monday if we should roll up and move our rugs. He assured me his crew would move them. They did not. They piled equipment on them and stained them with paint. Our sales guy assures us it will be taken care of. Thursday - only two painters show. No Frank. Estimated job completion today and the crew is getting smaller. Talk to our sales guy who says they?ll take care of it. I mention that we shouldn?t scrub the stained rug and cause further damage. End of the day, job is 70% done. Thursday evening - we walk the job and find that the work is sloppy. Taped lines are uneven. Paint runs onto trim, is splattered on floors/cabinets/fixtures, and has uneven coverage. This is not professional quality. In our master bath, we find a dent in the wood of our vanity. It appears to have been made by a large metal object. Since the dent was not there before the job, and painters were using an industrial ladder in a confined space, I draw the logical conclusion. Really not happy. Friday ? Two painters. No Frank. We will not finish today with this crew. I text our sales guy. At noon, 5 more guys arrive, and with 7 guys working the initial job is completed by 5pm. Reviewing the job, we find: 1) our rug was scrubbed and damaged, 2) the rug is still stained with paint, 3) areas we marked with tape for touch ups had tape removed but no work performed, 4) scraping paint that ran onto trim resulted in trim paint removal, 5) more splattering, uneven lines, uneven coverage, and unprofessional work. We document and send to CertaPro. Tuesday - walkthrough. Frank returns. We show Frank the damage to our vanity, and he says we?re lying. Despite being absent all week, Frank is certain his crew did not do this damage. He says it was done with a hammer. That ends the walk through. Frank is no longer welcome in our home. We tell our sales guy to bring a new crew. The next few weeks go well. A new crew comes to do multiple touch ups. New crew does professional work. We?re told they?re the best crew. Wish they were our first crew. They repainted about 1/3 of the original job, but it looks good. CertaPro pays for a rug cleaning. Cleaning removes 95% of the paint, and we decide to request an invoice adjustment rather than demand a $1K replacement. Seems like the more fair thing to do. There is no good solution for the vanity damage. Replacing wood is risky. Best to live with it vs make it worse. Sad outcome in a 2 year old home. Can't be fixed, and could have easily been avoided. Invoice. The owner has been involved. I?m confident he?ll make things right. We agree on $250 for the rug, which is < 25% of the replacement cost, but OK considering they had it cleaned. Final invoice has no other adjustments. I?m shocked. In light of all that went wrong, I ask if the owner believes CertaPro should only compensate us for the rug damage. He replies that $250 is generous to cover all issues. He mentions a $200 promotion on our quote, and that they only charged us $220 when we changed color on a partially painted room. The first was a sales tool. The second was offered before we had issues with the project. They?re not related. I press that $250 is insufficient to cover the property damage, the hours and stress we spent managing the project, and his employee accusing us of lying about damage CertaPro caused. He adds $100, tells me he?s being generous. Says the damage to our vanity is of inconsequential value, and he spent time managing our job also. Wow. I?m done. Despite our nightmare project, CertaPro?s owner feels justified to offer a 6% adjustment. He does some car dealer math to tell me he?s discounted me 15%. That?s nonsense, but I?d rather overpay than devote any more time to this project. My time is better spent writing this review.

Paint chipped on front door, returned quickly to fix

From ease of getting us a quote, help with getting the correct custom color, to finish every aspect of this project was done with friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The owners were fantastic to work with! The crew absolutely wonderful! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends. A plus all the way around

Gary is a very nice man. However, I will never use them again due to the quality of work done. I contacted Mr. Barton after I first noticed they had painted one ceiling the wrong color and painted another that was not to be painted. I also told him there was quite a bit of paint on my new tile floors and touch up work that needed to be completed. He immediately sent Frank back out the next day to fix all the problems. However, it was worse when he left than before he came. Paint was left on the curtains in 2 rooms, nothing was trimmed out good at all. They left an area about 4 inches out from the bedroom light that is not even painted. I have paint all over trim, light switch covers, floors, bathroom sink and my new windows are splattered with paint. After doing the walk thru I had to wait a couple of days in order to even send yet another complaint with pictures to Mr. Barton via cell phone. He said he had personally walked Frank through every picture and he would be sending me a Visa Gift Card for $200 for our inconvenience. "please enjoy a nice meal with the family on me". I will have to pay someone to come and fix the work. I will have to replace curtains, I will have to spend a weekend doing clean up work. I did not want a "nice meal". I wanted the house painted. The job consisted of a living room, kitchen, hall, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and touch up in 2 other bedrooms. I still have 6 rooms to be painted. I will NOT be using them ever again. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had with a contractor. I still cannot find some of my items that were in the house either. I found a garbage sack with trash, cook books and kitchen items all mixed in together. The workers put stuff in black trash bags and threw it away. I am not even sure of what all is missing, but I did at least catch some of it prior to the trash man coming - but again had to dig through the trash in order to even salvage those items.

Their workmanship is sloppy. We hired them for exterior painting. They missed several areas, even when I called and asked them to return. They came back today, and from what I can tell didn't do anything. Cleanup was horrible, leaving paint and wood chips all over the property. They even left an empty paint container that was still there after they came back. This has been a horrible experience, and an extremely expensive mistake. DO NOT HIRE CERTAPRO MCKINNEY

They were very responsive in getting the appointment to bid the job accommodated as well as scheduling the job once we made the decision to move forward with having the work done. The crew that came took great care in making sure that our things were protected which had not been our experience with a previous painter. They were professional and diligent. There were a couple of issues w/ the cabinet paint that they returned to touch up at my convenience. We would highly recommend CertaPro and will use them again in the future!

Working with CertaPro Painters of Frisco was great. Gary, Tina and their entire team were extremely easy to work with. They did exactly what they said they would do. The crew was quiet, professional, courteous, careful and cleaned up each day. They made sure we were 100% completely satisfied. We would highly recommend them.

They arrived on time and spent a great deal of time prepping and protecting the areas from the popcorn. They cleaned as they went and worked long to complete the job. They removed and cleaned up all the mess and left things very neat and clean.

They even finished earlier than predicted. They took great care of the property in the rooms. I was very pleased with the finished work.

We heard about CertaPro and decided to give them a call to paint most of our house and repair 40+ cracks after we had our foundation repaired. Gary and his team at CertaPro were very courteous and showed true professionalism and integrity throughout the whole process, from the first phone call to the completion of the job. They did exactly what we wanted them to do and made sure we were satisfied. It was worth every penny. I would highly recommend to anyone to give Gary at CertaPro a call the next time you need paint/stain work done on your house. I just wish we would have called them sooner, before we sold the house, so we could have enjoyed the new, fresh feel of the house. It sure made the house feel like a home. Thanks Gary!

It went very well. The workers were very clean and professional. They finished in 2 days. A lot quicker than I expected.

Very good work. Good competitive bid. Very good communication from company and the painting crew. Color was a little off - not the best match, too much yellow, but it was acceptable. Efficient courteous and steady working painting crew.

They were excellent. We are very pleased with the look, feel and quality of the work we recevied. We woudl not hesitate to use them in the future. Gary was prompt to come out and give us an estimate, communicated the costs, scheduling and who the paint crew supervisor was prior to the job starting so we knew who was coming to the house. This was important for safety and security as we knew who to expect and when. They started and completed the work on the same day and were very professional and easy to work with.

the paint crew was exceptional did a great job on the painting the taping off of switches and lights was done with a lot of care. we will definnetly be using them again when we repaint the master suite. and exterior

It was a good experience. They had some problems. They broke our bathroom mirror and they lost one of our outlets which when I plug in, they had a fix on it. They tried to replace it but there were some issues with that. The people were very nice.

They showed up on time. They were busy from the start, no standing around. There were a couple of caulking issues, but when my husband mentioned it to the foreman, he had guys back over within a few days to correct it. The foreman showed up every day looking at the work done and asking if we had any issues, concerns or requests. They got the job done!

We had a dark color already existing and asked several times if they would need to prime or use Killz to block it form coming through. They said no, 2 coats would do it. After 2 coats you could see the old color showing through still! The lead came back and said "well what do you think?" As we explained it looked horrible he said he would have to put a 3rd coat on and would have to charge us an additional amount to do so. What were we supposed to do, we argued but already had the house in shambles with masking and covering everywhere. We paid the extra $ but will never use these people again, the owner had no knowledge of painting what so ever. Robbery.

It went smoothly. The workers weren't all very attentive, but the supervisor kept them in check.
