Cedar Creek Fences

This is the worst experience with a company I've ever had in my lifetime. I hired this company and after paying $4,000 in cash the workers came out, demolished my property, including my sprinkler system and landscaping; not to mention they installed the posts incorrectly and the fence posts ultimately failed the inspection because they were not on my property line. The owner has repeatedly tried to have my reviews deleted, has trashed my character, tried to have me arrested, all because he cannot admit fault for extremely shoddy workmanship. They abruptly left the second day after damaging a fence I share with my neighbor and left their tools/equipment strewn all over my backyard and heavy concrete posts that posed a danger to my neighbors and pets. They never returned to fix their mistakes or clean up the mess. It's going to cost several thousand dollars to repair the sprinkler system/landscaping and back fence, in addition to recouping the $4,000 and additional money I had to pay to have my property line markers that the workers stole when they abandoned the project (I have video of this on my security cameras of them stealing my property markers, sprinkler heads, and pressure-treated wood from the shared fence). I'm warning everyone to stay away from this company and con artist who will just rip you off and never give you your money back.

Every step of the process went well. Cedar Creek was one of six fence companies that I contacted and considered. Dave Phillips came out to my house and walked me through the details of fence selection. He proved to be knowledgable, friendly, frank, and open to questions. Very professional. Cedar Creek's work crews are run by guys who've been with the company for many years and demonstrated their expertise at every stage of the process. The Western Red Cedar wood used is beautiful. The detailed touches in the top rail, the gate, the trim boards - are all solid and attractive. I had never heard of boxing the metal poles, but it's worth every penny. My fence turned out far and away better than I thought possible. It's a terrific fence! Cedar Creek Fence is a fine company run by pros. I chose well. I couldn't recommend it more!

David and his team were awesome! They were very professional and thorough. The work was done quickly. Highly recommend. We did clear cedar (less knots).

Cedar Creek Fences did an outstanding job on our fence replacement project and at a very reasonable cost. We changed from builder-grade 6-ft tall fences to 8-ft tall board-on-board fences along our entire corner lot. The job went extremely well from the estimate with Dave through construction. The crew kept our property very clean, communicated well throughout the process and answered any questions we had. We've recommended them to all our envious neighbors and will use them in the future.

Crew was excellent, punctual, courteous and expert. Excellent communication. Despite a day lost to rain, they somehow met schedule. Not a single snag.

The Cedar Creek crew did an amazing job and I love my new fence. It is absolutely top notch. I got an 8ft board on board horizontal and it is beautiful.

I asked for quotes from several fence companies for a new fence. None of them even responded to me, except for Dave, who replied within a couple of hours of my original email, and once he did, we knew he was the right choice. Dave was always friendly, prompt, a clear communicator, patient with our questions, and upfront and transparent about pricing and options. The new fence is beautiful and well worth the cost. Dave and his team do quality work with quality materials. His team finished the job quickly and efficiently, including the stain. I've had my painter and a couple of neighbors ask me for his information. Overall, an excellent experience. I can't recommend Cedar Creek Fences and Dave highly enough!

WOW, I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I compared with two other fence companies and they were neither the lowest or highest bid. They did have the best ratings and no dings. Work was done in three days and is amazing. Waiting for stain date. Aaron & Francisco were on time, professional, answered any and all questions thoroughly and did an amazing job! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting top quality work at a reasonable price. A+ rating with BBB as well.

My experience with Cedar Creek Fences, the owner Dave, and the crew was outstanding! They were reliable, professional and conscientious and built a beautiful fence that will last. They had to dig through several feet of white rock to set the posts, so the fence is very, very sturdy. Dave has been very communicative with me through the entire process. He took the time to meet with me in person, as scheduled, to answer all my questions - including how they could add a "window" for my dog. He came back over upon completion to assess the workmanship and make sure I was happy. I would highly recommend this company for small or large fences and am so glad I found them on Angie's List. I give them an A+++! (Note that the pictures show the fence before it gets stained.)

The initial work was good. The fence overall is good. But the quality of the driveway gate is less than poor. The company that cedar creek outsourced to used inferior quality products for the gate size. The gate was built in 2015. For the first two years, no major issues. The system started going down frequently after the first two years - battery draining out, wires being chewed by rodents due to improper installation and very poor response to service requests. Now, I am faced with the scenario of replacing the entire motor system spending thousands of dollars. UPDATE AS OF 04/03/2020: Dave, Since you responded to my post, I will share some more details. You have numerous emails from me indicating that the issues in the gate has been persisting for the last several years. The last time I contacted you with respect to the gate was in May/June 2019 and inspite of my followups, I never heard back from the gate company that you subcontract your work to. It is kind of difficult for me to accept that I did not reach out to you to resolve my issues.

Wonderful! This company needs to be there first and only choice! They built a high class fence for a extremely reasonable price.

Dave Phillips and his team, Luis and Cuci, did an outstanding job replacing my fence. The finished product is incredible and Luis and Cuci are truly craftsman that take great pride in their work. Their attention to detail and finishing touches really make a big difference. This whole experience, from start to finish, was extremely positive. Dave is extremely responsive and communicated well throughout the process, the quality of the product is top notch, pricing was very fair, and the team did everything that was agreed to without needing to follow up. The main crew were extremely meticulous and hardworking, going above and beyond. The finished product is extremely high quality. Very happy with the company and service.

From day day 1 Dave set himself apart from all the contractors I called. First off he called me back!!!!! Prior to the me accepting the quote Dave was very responsive with all my questions and adjustments. What really made it personal was the he saved your phone number and knew you were calling because he answered with your name, who else does that!! Now to the actual work. We had a lot of rain and Dave kept us updated as the date moved. His Team was awesome, there were 3 of us neighbors all getting our fences done at the same time. Any mess created while they were working was cleaned up daily. The workmanship was top notch and also want to give Dave a lot of credit for his flexibility. At the last moment I decided to another 75ft of fence and he accommodated this request without postponing the install. Lastly, the staining went very well as I have a lot of landscape and I was concerned about over spray and the potential of harming my plants. Not a single issue. I would highly recommend Cedar Creek Fences for your fencing needs.

Dave's crew did a great job replacing our fence, and they were able to weld on a 2 ft metal extension to our existing gate to extend it to match our new 8 ft fence. The new motor works very well with the 8 ft sliding driveway gate. I would hire Cedar Creek Fence again for future needs.

David Phillips was a true professional; courteous, responsive and knowledgeable. His crew was very good and completed the project in the expected time frame despite raining every day. I am very pleased with the fence and the price I paid.

EXCELLENT. Initially, I contacted four fence companies for bids. Dave was far ahead of the competition in the speed and comprehensiveness of his bid. While waiting for the other bids, I decided to go with Dave, even before all the others had responded. I was NOT disappointed with my decision. Dave's crew was very proficient in their work and completed the job within the time estimate. They did an excellent job, but one slat was defective (from the lumber yard). After one call to Dave, he had someone promptly replace it. The fence looks great; his service was great. Cedar Creek Fence is how home improvements should be done!

I research several contractors to install a new 8' cedar privacy fence around the backyard of my house. Dave and his team at Cedar Creek Fences were that rare example of professionalism, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality. I had always wanted an 8' privacy fence but for some reason I didn't finally pull the trigger until earlier this year. Now, I only wish I had done it sooner. There are so many other projects I've had done over the years but none that have brought me so much satisfaction as my fence from Cedar Creek Fences. When Dave came out, he measured and explained the whole process to me. He then promptly provided a quote later that day. The price was extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality. The best part, Dave told me when he would be able to have his team complete the project and that's exactly when they did it. I loved that there were no surprises, no delays, and no disappointments. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dave and Cedar Creek Fences to someone looking for a new fence. It's the best decision I've made in a long time.

Dave sent an initial rough quote, and then followed up with a visit to provide a formal quote. During the visit he determined that a retaining wall in our neighbors' yard would also need to be replaced but the measurements from Google overestimated the length, so in the end we also got the retaining wall for basically the original estimate. The crew started as scheduled and completed the work on time and on budget. They were professional, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. They also reinstalled a driveway gatepost that was drooping. The only glitch was the gate couldn't fully open when the crew was finished. Pablo, the foreman, came back out and fixed it as soon as we notified Dave, who checked in regularly on progress during the project. The project was completed in 2019 but I only now noticed this review didn't get posted for some reason, which is a shame b/c they definitely earned a stellar review. 4 years later the fence still looks great and doesn't show any wear.
