While providing the annual ac service they determine the units needed additional Freon , quoted a price, added the service at the same time.

I do not currently use Joplin, and I haven't in a few years, but I used them for approximately 12 years. I liked them so well, that I wanted to leave a review. Joplin has the most thorough and professional service maintenance staff that I have ever used. I'm not just speaking of air conditioner service technicians either. Joplin has the best service technicians of anyone that I have ever used for any service. They are courteous, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and do an excellent job of explaining what they do. Across the board, they never once sent someone to my home that wasn't excellent. Whoever does the hiring for Joplin should receive an award. The only reason why I do not currently use Joplin is that I purchased two new air conditioning systems that Joplin didn't carry, so now I get my maintenance service using the new company. Joplin's technicians are much better than the ones I have now.

This was the job I was dreading since moving into the house. I knew both units were on their last legs, so my wife and I decided this was the year to bite the bullet to get the job done. Chuck came out to give the house the once over taking data and measurements then explained their bid in layman's detail. The equipment was 2 units; a 5-ton and 2.5 ton and he explained my cheaper and pricier options as well. Before I talk about the price, let me share a few observations. First, the company has somebody to answer its phone. This may sound like a small thing, but when you have to make arrangements to be home, etc. its very satisfying to be able to call the company and talk to someone that is aware about the job. Everyone from the receptionist to the technicians were friendly and courteous. The installation went very well save for a crack in the ceiling which was probably unpreventable. The crew pointed it out, I'm sure I would not have noticed it for days, and the company arranged to have it fixed at their expense. In summary, excellent work, great customer service, and Carrier branded equipment. The total job was almost 13K which I know is a big price tag. I am sure I probably could have found a cheaper solution, but I am sure it would be lesser equipment and almost certainly a lesser experience too. I felt I received good value. Finally, one small point. Since they are not far away, I dropped by their office to pay them. It is a decent-sized operation that seemed to be well organized. I feel a have real company backing up their work, not just a couple of guys with a van. ... Highly recommended

Installed new system. It was about a month after I first contacted them about the system and they never had a salesman call to be annoying. There were no issues with installation. I have used this company for years for maintenance. Their service contract is about $70/year. They rarely replace anything but just do normal cleaning. Very honest and professional company.

We have been customers if Bill Joplin's since 1997 when they installed systems in our new home. We've used them since for maintenance and to install units in another home we built. I can't say enough about their professionalism, honesty, courtesy and quality of work. I highly recommend them for any HVAC work someone might need.

Purchased a new Nest Thermostat and although it looked like a simple install I wanted to have a professional come install and test the system since I had recently purchased the home. Found Joplin's on Angie's list after contacting a few other companies who would not install Nest Thermostats. They recommending a Technician who had previous experience installing the thermostat and gave times available for next day (I picked 2 days later as I was working from home that day). Technician called ahead to let me know his ETA and was prompt and professional. Installed the system, made recommendations, performed system tests to make sure heat and air were running efficiently and provided a walkthrough on the system. Some of this was unneeded but was a nice gesture that shows professionalism isn't lost these days. Provided feedback on yearly check-ups and their prices were even better than my home warranty so may use them in the future. Recommend Bill Joplin's to anyone needing their services.

I have to say that the responsiveness from the first call, which was a Saturday evening at about 7:45 pm, was excellent. We have an annual maintenance contract with Joplin's and have always had a very positive experience with all the technicians that come to service our heating and cooling units. There was no question that Joplins was going to be my first call when our upstairs unit stopped blowing cool air. The answering service was great, took my information and had an "on call" technician call me within 15 minutes. When James called, we talked through what the issue could be and discussed potential causes and what the remedies were, assuming he was correct. He then walked me through pricing, part costs plus labor (time and half on Saturday). Given the temperature warranted an immediate fix, we asked him to come. He said he would be there within an hour and he was. He was very nice, discussed the issue, and quickly (within 20 minutes) had my unit working again. The issue was either the motor or the capacitor. Luckily it was the capacitor, as the motor would have been another $75 in labor (estimate), plus a $300 dollar part. I have always been a satisfied customer, and will continue to use Joplin's BUT I do have an issue with the price charged for the part. While I certainly appreciate the responsiveness, and the fact that it was a Saturday night, the part cost would not have changed even if required during a routine or non-emergency visit. I absolutely respect that companies need to make a profit on both service and parts, but it is disappointing that I looked up the part which I paid close to $100 for (which included a 10% discount for having a maintenance contract) and the same exact part was available from multiple vendors ranging from $38 dollars to $60 dollars. Again, I guess I should be happy that I received such great service and a quick fix... but I just feel that a 100% markup is just a bit high. I know many will defend this as "common retail cost" but it's really disappointing and will absolutely make me think very hard about replacing my overall system in a few years based on that type of mark-up. This was a $50 part (average - some higher\some lower) that was priced at over $100 dollars... What can I expect when I need a several thousand dollar system replacement? It just doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth. Again, having said this, I was very pleased with the service, the technician James Smith was great, and my past experiences (which were all service related, not parts). I can say that I rated the company's service and all other areas an A... but the price, due to the very high part mark-up was rated a D... Joplin's has an excellent reputation and it is well deserved... The technicians and other staff are pleasant, informed, and responsive. I just don't agree with the part pricing strategy. Overall, I will continue my relationship for regular maintenance and service but I would be hard pressed to purchase parts or a new system based on this experience.

He was very good! We bought the service contract so he checked some things out for us and didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I'm very happy with their service.

Bill Joplin installed our 3 air conditiong units about 5 years. They came out to service our units. Very pleased with service they are very professional very courteous. They are very good about answering questions. Would recommend them in the future.

This company was recommended by a family member who has a substantial commercial account with them. The estimator arrived 10 minutes ahead of appointment, did his inspection and promised me an email estimate the next day. I also gave the estimator a copy of another estimate I'd received and he misinterpreted the unit tonnage quoted, alluding the other company didn't know what they were doing. It's now two days later and I've received no estimate. The estimator also said I probably needed freon, that the office would call me the next day to set up an appointment. I'd not heard from them by mid afternoon so I called and they had no notification from the estimator to contact me. I'll never reach out to these folks again.

I've used Bill Joplin’s Compressor Services for over 14 years. They are worth the maintenance contract. Their price, quality, and professionalism are excellent. I always do and always will use them.

The entire job took about 5 hours. Everything went like clockwork. I was offered the opportunity to inspect the equipment installed in the attic, ad well as the new compressor. The price was below other estimates. I felt the sales person knew what he was doing and was not out to sell me something I didn't need. He was helpful and discussing options with me in coming up with the final bid. The thing that really impressed me was when the guys in the attic found where my roof had been leaking. Big rain was on the way. They volunteered to go onto my roof and make temporary silicone seals until I can get a roofer out. That's what I call going above and beyond the contracted work!

Joplin both installs and maintains the A/C and Heating units at three different residences for me. Their prices are comparable to others in the area and they offer an annual maintenance contract that keeps the systems running well all year. Anytime there is a problem, they come quickly and resolve it

I have used Joplin's for the past 10 years or so. They have replaced my 2 AC units over time and I have been very pleased with their recommendation for the equipment. They come regularly for the maintenance and they provide an excellent service. They wear shoe covers and clean everything after them. In my last maintenance I mentioned that the temperature in one of our upstairs rooms had never been right and they determined that the duck to the room was undersized. Even though the new units and ducks had been put in 5 or 6 years ago, they still honored their warranty and did the work at no charge for the labor. My only expense was for the materials! It is rare to find this kind of customer service nowadays. Another plus with Joplin is that I can still talk to the person who sold me my AC units 10 years ago and they keep their technicians for a long time that allows for good customer follow up. Again, this speaks highly for this company and that is how you build customers for life! I highly recommend them.

Fantastic. The scheduler estimated the team of three would be here from 8:30 AM until 5 PM. They arrived early (called first), were not intimidated by our dogs following them around and took time to scratch tummies, ensured we knew what we were getting and what the process would be, and got down to work. I work for a huge company from my home office. I am on conference calls with people all over the world all day, and my office is right beside the front door and the stairs they had to climb to get to the upstairs and into the attic. They were extremely considerate and careful to be as quiet as possible if I was on the phone. They were clean as whistles - wearing booties in my house, making sure they cleaned up all the mess and quickly getting old units off the front lawn. I was particularly concerned about their staying hydrated in the intense heat and they assured me they would take care. They worked diligently and were DONE at 1:45 PM. The house cooled quickly, the price was exactly as quoted, and the system is working great. My son actually says he is freezing upstairs if he doesn't adjust the temperature up from where he kept the old system. We are extremely impressed with this company and HIGHLY recommend them.

The technician was prompt and quickly went about his duties.No problems were identified, no freon or other parts were needed. They had schedualed me for 2 AC system check and when he say there was only one the charges dropped to the appropriate price. I feel they did a good job and I will be asking them to check the HVAC system in the fall. The technician left me a card and asked that I log in tothe company web site and rate their work.It appears they monitor their service closely and are customer centric. Overall a good experience, no preassure to over sale services.

They are excellent. They have their shoes covered every time they come in. They come and check everything. They are ready to help and give information. They spend adequate time. They are extremely courteous and friendly. They always do good job. Other than checkups we have had them for other service and they are good. I have referred them to my son. I would use them in the future.

Bill Joplin's Compressor Services are the first heating and air company that I like. They come out twice a year to check our heating/air unit. They are very dependable and they come out quickly when we need them. I trust them and I would give them an "A" as a general experience.
