Bill Joplin's Air Conditoning & Heating

I started working with Joplins three years ago with Chuck Warner. When I finally was ready to make the plunge on new units I decided to get three estimates. One of their major competitors (A1 air) chose to take a path and bad mouth the Carrier product that Joplin's uses. I had done enough research to know Carrier is a quality product. When I asked Chuck some questions about Carrier and why a competitor is claiming such bad things about Carrier, he took the high road and with a very professional response chose to not engage in bad mouthing a company or product and ensured me he and his company standby buy their product and service. This ultimately cleared my final decision to stay with Joplins. When I left a message to the other company they were not going to get my business, I never even received a thank you or acknowledgment to my decision. After such heavy pressure sales, one would think they would at least acknowledge my decision and get some feedback. Joplins has completed my install and I am very happy with the work from the sales experience with Chuck to the install crew that has installed my equipment. Thank you for being such a great company. The quote was high compared to 2 other quotes received. It took a while to receive the quote compared to 2 other quotes received. I did not use this company.

We Bought the Spring / Fall Service Plan Paid for a leak test.. Service went well. Tech Cleaned Filters & Outside Unit Coils - did a great job explaining the work performed and also provided the estimate for the labor to replace the Evaporator (Parts covered by 10 yr Trane warranty) Will use Joplin's to replace the Evaporator, Tech provided quote

Service man came out to diagnose why air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air. Checked the system, found it low on freon and put in several pounds of freon @ $50.00 a pound, then went looking for a leak and later found it. Should have found the leak before he gigged me for several hundred dollars. Also tried to sell me on redoing all my ventilation vents. Major sales job.

They were the low bidder when we were looking to have the AC replaced. They actually did a good job. We have not had any problems with it since then. They have always been very courteous to few questions we have had as far as operation and periodic maintenance and that sort of thing goes. They have been very responsive. We have not had service in quite a while, but I know when they scheduled the installation, they were right on-time. I was very happy with them.

Actually it was rather embarrassing for me. It turned out that the problem was that I forgot to turn the gas main back on after I installed a valve for a gas dryer. The technician was professional and went and did some extra work inspecting the air conditioning and the heaters for free after discovering that the fix was as simple as turning the gas back on.

They subcontracted/coordinated with an electrician to run 220v to the attic. Subcontracted/Coordinated with a plumber to install a copper pipe for the water. Made and installed a larger fan plenum. Installed a new controller with outside thermometer for condensation prevention. In all it was about 12 hours of labor performed by 6 licensed contractors. I don't even want to know what someone who charges less for this would have done. It was a big job!

Repairman was very prompt and professional. Didn't charge for items that didn't need replacing. It has been a couple of months now and the unit is still working with no need for another service call. Thank you Bill Joplin's! I highly recommend this company.

Worked in one day. The product was one we didn't think we could afford yet at Joplin's it was affordable. The workers were all easily accessible and answered questions during the installation. Clean up was great. I will never use another company for heating and a/c. Joplin's is just the best available.

Very professional and courteous. We have been using Joplin's for years. We have them come out in the spring and fall to do maintenance on our units. They have never tried to upsell anything. We have an older unit and by having the maintenance done, it's lasting. The only thing we needed in the past 5 years was a capacitor. Office staff is friendly and our technicians have been great.

Provided sound professional advice based on the information we provided at the time and have heard great things about them. They've been around a while (longer than most) which may be the reason for the higher operational costs.

Whole experience with Joplins was good. Technicians were prompt and courteous. I asked a lot of questions and all were answered to my satisfaction. When I asked to see the old coils that were pulled out they showed them to me without appearing annoyed Front office was great with scheduling and called to tell me when technicians were on their way. Price was competitive.

They have provided this service for about 13 years. They have been very responsive when I have needed them for service at other times.

They showed up promptly...wore booties in the house...laid down tarps to keep carpets clean. They explained, before starting, exactly what they were going to do. This was a six hour job - two men. They had to remove equipment from the attic - in addition to removing the old outside air conditioner in the yard - they also removed the old concrete slab and replaced it with a new one. They were very courteous and did the job in an efficient and timely manner. I was very satisfied.

Bill Joplins is an excellent service provider. They have completely revamped my HVAC system starting with "N" coil evaporators (circa 2011) on the 3 and 3.5 ton units several years ago and then R6 ducting throughout the attic and then a new 5 ton and now new 3 and 3.5 ton Compressor /Condenser units. R6 is a better value than R8 cost/benefit. They were the lowest bidder and the ONLY bidder who completely understood technically what was needed. The initial 3 and 3.5 ton "N" coils are much more efficient than builder grade flat slab coils. They were handling R22 initially until the Compressor/ Condenser units needed replacement. They know, as did I, that the Carrier "N" coils would handle the R22 (lower pressure ) and the higher system pressure Puron refrigerant later on. Other bidders when the system was still R22 stated that new evap coils would be need when converting from R22 to Puron. This is because they were not providing the higher pressure rated coils. Joplin worked with me on the total plan. Without being arrogant I am an engineer and I knew what to ask and they knew what to propose. Use the Texas A&M web site for some good info on home HVAC system design. The results are before I could barely keep my house bellow 80F in the warmest months. Now I can keep it in the mid to low 70s and it costs about $800 less per year!
