Vega Roofing

Vega Roofing did an exellent job. Fixed any items pointed out immediately and cleaned construction site daily.

I found out they were a little overpriced. I called them about a year later to come back for some more work, and they never showed up. I really feel they did not have their act together. I had another issue and went with another company because of those issues.

I called and asked for an estimate. They said they were too busy to come out to my house (located about 5 miles from their place of business). I really wanted to get a proposal from them, because I've heard they're good. I persisted, and they said they could come give me an estimate in one week. I asked if they could please pin down a specific day that they would come. They refused. They promised to call me back within a week, though, but they did not, and I never heard from them again. To me, this reflects very poorly on their management and their image.

They did a great job- pretty prompt. I liked how they worked as far as kept in contact with me on progress. They finished promptly- as promised. When the crew finished that day they cleaned everything up and it looked like no on had been up there at all. Great job. I liked that they were insured which was important to me because a neighbor down the way told me they got sued by some roofer employee who fell because the company he worked for did not have any insurance for them. I did not want that. Looking at my house I didnt want any roofer thinking they could fall and make money off of me. The extra cost to have an insured roofing company was worth it to me. ON top of that these people gave me a warranty for their workmanship which was great to know if I had a problem I knew where their office was and help was only a call away. The rep I talked to was really really helpful in helping me understand the reroofing process and I wasn't surprised by anything at all. Great job.

It didn't, simply because of the unprofessionalism on their part. Several of my neighbors had used them in the past and said good things....I guess this is where it depends on WHO you know, not on WHAT you have to pay with...which was going to be all cash.

They were not able to and simply gave up after taking my money.

THE ROOF WAS INSTALLED CORRECTLY BUT COULD NOT BE USED AS A DECK PER OUR CONTRACT WITH HIM. FEW REMAINING ITEMS TO BE CORRECTED BUT THE TOTAL BILLED WILL BE ABOUT $13,000, ALMOST TWICE THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT BID. ACCORDING TO HIS FINAL STATEMENT, WORK BEGAN ON 7/18 AND, PER OUR AGREEMENT, HE WAS PAID 1/3 OF THE CONTRACT BID PRICE. ON 7/20, HE WAS PAID THE SECOND INSTALLMENT. ON 7/28, HE WAS PAID THE THIRD INSTALLMENT. ON 8/2, ON HIS BILL, ROOFER LISTED ADDITIONAL WORK HAD HAD TO BE DONE WHICH HAD INCREASED THE COST BUT NO CHANGE ORDER HAD EVER BEEN SUBMITTED PER THE CONTRACT TO ALERT US TO THE ADDED EXPENSE. HE JUST BILLED US AGAIN FOR AN ADDITIONAL $6,221. ALTHOUGH UNPLEASANTLY SURPRISED, WE ACQUIESCED AND PAID HIM $4,721 ON 8/2. HE STILL CONTINUES TO BILL US FOR WHAT HE SAYS IS THE BALANCE DUE ON THE ACCOUNT, $1,475. WE HAVE NO IDEA OF WHETHER THE TOTAL PRICE IS FAIR BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH HIGHER THAN THE ORIGINAL BID. BUT THIS IS JUST NOT THE WAY BUSINESS SHOULD BE CONDUCTED.
