Mcallen Valley Roofing replaced my roof almost 2 years ago and installed an attic vent. The crew who came out were professional, courteous, and efficient and did an excellent job. The quote was not the cheapest but the quality and service was great.

It went really well. I have called them first time to fix my house roof due to a hail storm damage. They went beyond expectation. They delivered and took care the issues as if they never existed. I used them after that for a couple of times for minor leaks. As always, they arrive on time, fix the issues and make sure the job was done to your satisfaction. I will be calling them again, if needed.

In the middle of September a person named Philip Westerman came to our home to give an estimate to replace a three foot piece of gutter. He convinced us to have additional work done including doing some sanding and painting of a small area, replacing a total of 27 ft of gutter, and re-installing gutter guards which had come loose. The estimate was for just under $3000. This was the most expensive company of all those who gave estimates. The online reviews are mostly good, so rather than deal with a disreputable company, we paid extra to be sure the work would be done right and in a reasonable time. We were promised to be kept up to date "every step of the way." That never happened. I called weekly to get updates, only to never have my calls or emails returned by the women assigned to my project. Six weeks into the job after getting one excuse after another about why we have no gutters, they admitted they "forgot to order the materials." Eight weeks after paying for gutters they promised they would be installed by the end of the day today. Today has come and gone. They admitted to my wife today that they still have not been ordered, but are promising that they will be installed by next week, 10 weeks after they received the money to do this job. The small amount of work that was done is unsatisfactory. Naturally they wouldn't know this because they have never asked me. Philip Westerman may not have had the time to order our gutters, or return my calls or emails, but he somehow has made time to privately message my wife asking for her to meet him at his church. I personally messaged the owner, Alfredo, and Philip today to address this. So far they have chosen not to respond, and have blamed the last 2 1/2 month's fiasco on a "woman in the office on maternity leave." Look elsewhere if you expect honesty, accountability and ethical business practices. Look to Mcallen Valley Roofing if you want to be ignored after they have received your money.

We hired them to fix our flat roof after that hail storm and I honestly wish we would have never hired them... We were better off with how the storm left our home. So we hired mcallen valley roofing and they started work. It all went wrong with lead of the project because he was fired for stealing. So this guy quoted us a complete roof repair before he was fired. Then our roof was never tarped during the rains that followed the start of the project. And it rained like 4 times too. Next came the two snooty young dudes who because the house wasnt tarped came and told us they fired the man in charge of our project and look over our home and was like "this is all wrong we cant do this." And thats when they told us to pay them the remaining balance which was like 4 grand and they will fix the rest. Of coarse we didnt because these fools had no sense the whole project. We hired them to fix our leaks and our leaks arr still there till this day with mold only growing worse inside the home. Screw mcallen valley roofing!!! Run... Far away!!! This was a super shady business!!!

We called McAllen Valley Roofing because we saw that they had pretty good reviews...Phillip called to let me know that he was going to be 15 mins late...which he already was (Understandable if a busy company). After a week went by no calls yet, so I called to find out when they were going to be coming out to fix my roof before the next big rain storm hit in a few days, they told me in a couple of days. So 3 men came out, didn't bother to let me know that they were here, and my alarm went off telling me that someone was here. I looked and it was the roofing guys, they didn't speak good English, had really no idea what I was saying to them, they went up on my roof and did SOMETHING for 10 mins. I left for 1 day to come home later that day during a rain storm to find out it was still leaking! I called the next business day which was Monday and spoke to Angie, I told her what was going on she looked into it and called me back saying that the guys that came out DIDNT FINISH the job and left. They didn't tell the company nor myself that they didn't finish the job before leaving, So my roof still had leaks. She sent the guys back out again the next day, they came out and same thing happened. This time they were here for about an hour...Called to have my roof re-inspected and guess what? Its NOT insurable because they charged me $1500.00 for caulking!!!!!! They did a CRAPPY job, took pieces off of my roof that were there and made NEW wholes that we have to find a way to fix, leaving open wooded areas! They did a VERY MESSY job at the caulking job and that's NOT a way to FIX a leaking roof! I will NEVER recommend anyone to this company and we did take pictures before and after to show as proof I could only upload a few of the pictures of after the crappy work they did! I will NOT let them touch my interior they wanted another $1500.00 for that!! I suggest anyone that has had an issue to report to the BBB!

Good. Correctly cancelled scheduled install due to rain in the forecast. Completed on time after new date set. They handled all the insurance requirements so no headache for me.

They responded right away with a fair estimate. The work was completed in an excellent manner. They also followed up on any concerns we had right away.

When I first contacted the company for a quote on the repair they sent out someone very quickly. We agreed on a price for the repair and it was completed about a week later. After the repair was completed the roof kept leaking. I called several times to let them know that my roof was still leaking and every time I was told that they would send someone the next day but no one ever showed up. After about three weeks of this, and posting a negative review here, they finally came out and repaired the leak. I'm hoping the repair worked.

McAllen Valley Roofing is very responsive and cooperative throughout the process. The re-roofing was completed back in November 2014, but rainy season started recently and my tenant noticed a leak. McAllen Valley Roofing has been responsive and quick to send people out to investigate. They claim one particular section (approximately 100sq. ft of where the leak is occurring) was difficult to re-roof, so it wasn't re-roofed. Unfortunately this is where the leak is now occurring. I gave them a "B" because this should have been brought to my attention when they were re-roofing. I was not told that they weren't able to re-roof that section with the agreed upon bitumen roofing, and instead they used a different method. Even if the area (100 sq.ft.) is small compared to the entire roof (3000 sq.ft), they could have warned me that potential future issues could occur since they were not able to re-roof that section. I had NO knowledge of this! Their excuse for not telling me is that a long term fix would require more $$, and they didn't want to give me that bad news. This is why I docked them to a "B". They are working with me to resolve this issue currently, however, I feel it might not be a long-term fix. I hope it won't just be a patch job, and more issues arise months later. I went with McAllen Valley Roofing due to their positive reviews, and despite the issues I'm running into, not all is bad. They are very responsive and seem like they want to work with me to resolve the issues. I'll update this review further down the road.

When they put the decks back together, they decided to use screws to fasten the boards as opposed to the clips that were used originally. They used the clips, but lost the fasteners that went with the clips. When they used the screws they didn't use the proper fasteners to make sure there wasn't shifting. I now have gaps 3/4" wide. Also, they put some boards up that were different colors and by a different manufacturer, so now I have different colored boards on my decks. Another thing, there were a few areas that were left unfinished. I had made a box out of composite boards, the cap to the box was loose. One of my biggest concerns is according to manufacturer specifications; the boards that hold the deck boards (joicing) are suppose to be 16" on center and they put them in at 21-23". So, now the warranty is voided. The company is telling me I'm stuck and there's nothing they can do. Alfredo, the owner; did a walk thru and all he wants to do is change the fasteners on the clips. So, I said 'what do we do about the boards not being 16" on center?" His other recommendation is that we go with wood. I had already bought $10,000 worth of composite and had a brand new deck. I asked why he tore it all apart and wasn't able to use the composite wood to put it back together? Now, where the boards butt joint - there are 3/4" gaps. Plus, you can see fasteners where there should have been clips. They finished in November last year. I immediately met with the supervisor who was on site and he couldn't answer any questions. He was suppose to get back to me and never did!

McAllen Valley Roofing was informative, punctual and proffesional. Although we did not use their services at this time we have noted their business for future needs.

On the First repair the roof kept leaking water so after posting the review here in Angies List, I was contacted next day by the contractor to set an appointment and resolved the issue the roof was fix in a couple of days and since then the roof is not leaking at all. Thanks for the fast response and great customer service.

I telephoned the office on Tuesday, they inspected my roof the next day and called wilt an estimated price (which held). On Friday they did the work with a crew of four men, taking half a day for the job.

From the beginning, I was impressed with the managers and the workmen. When the old shingles were removed, they discovered the decking was rotten and had to be replaced. I appreciated the fact that upon discovering this unexpected added expense, the owners and managers of the company came to my home to discuss the extra costs and time involved with the new development. They advised me that they would not have to redo the decking on the garage, which of course saved time and expense. They did their best to get the work done on time and efficiently. They were always polite, arrived on time, and cleaned up the areas before they left in the evening. Altogether, the job took approximately 3 weeks. It has since rained and I have no leaks that I'm aware of.

McAllen Valley Roofing Co. were really good. I called them on a Friday and the young man, Andrew, said I will be there within the hour and he was. He said he'd call later that afternoon with the estimate which he did. Then later on that afternoon he came out with the contract and we signed it. They put the roof on on Tuesday. They had to order the material, and he called when they got it in so we set up the time. Everything was exactly what they said. The estimate didn't increase. They worked all day and finished it and it was good. I want to give special recognition to Andrew. He came out on the job to inspect it all, and so did the owner of the Company.

Roofing crew arrived early to demo old shingles and accessories. They worked through the day for two days to complete the project. Wind and high temperatures played a role in the process, but the crew did a good job. Project Manager was extra helpful by offering to do a small rain diversion project.
