The service was not good. He gave me a quote for a specific paint of a specific quality that we agreed upon. I assumed he was going to do the work as quoted. After he had already started, I noteced that the paint was not the paint we had agreed upon. This paint was substandard, and when I asked him about it he said it was the same quality. When I approached him and questioned this, he actually failed to show up to the rest of the appointments. I had already paid up front and he tried to quit on the job. I took him to court and ended up winning, I just want to make sure nobody else gets taken advantage of as well.

I entered into contract with Hernandez to repair damaged eaves and fascia along with some minor roof repair for a fee of $1,500.00. Shortly after starting the work, he advised me that some of the wood work underneath the fascia was damaged. He stated that he could repair this damage for $500.00 above the originally quoted $1,500.00. Hernandez informed me that he needed some seed money to start the job, even though I specifically told him that I would not pay anything until the work was completed. I gave him $500.00 cash on July 28 and another $500.00 cash on July 29th. I agreed and informed him to proceed with the work. On the first day (Monday, July 28, 2008) he shows up with his 3 minor children, who did a major portion of the work. These individuals did horrible work; bad angle cuts in critical areas, lousy caulking patch up jobs, and basically unsatisfactory work. Today, July 31, 2008, Hernandez informed me that he had complete and wanted to charge me an additional $615.00 for the work. I told him that he originally stated to do the work for $1,500.00 and an additional $500.00 for unanticipated damages, bringing the total to $2,000.00. I did ask him to repair a piece of wood on the side of the garage and that I would pay him extract for that work. He replaced a 2X8X7 foot board, which I paid $100.00 for that. This guy did horrible work, leaving gaps between wood joints and did more damage than good.
