Description of Work: Arnie, the owner has come to our house a few times to replace shingles due to another company doing a horrible job. Arnie has always been very professional, friendly and easy to talk to. His employees come by when they say they will come by and do a good job. His receptionist has also been very nice. + -1 moreMy house was built about 25 yrs ago with nice concrete tiles but with no deck underneath! The tiles were doing all the work of protection and waterproofing. Over the years leaks developed, which I have tried to manage with significant effort. After a particularly rainy summer of 2010, I finally decided to have a water resistant deck put under the tiles. Mr. Vega has a very nice personality, and did a fine job over a few weeks. However, we have gotten no good rainfall in the 7+ months since fixing the roof, so I cannot say how well it holds yet! I was holding off submitting this report until we got some good gully washers, but I finally decided to do it anyway. I will update if an issue develops IF and when rain comes! Note: price is negotiable.

+ -1 moreAV Roofing provides a higher quality roofing job than most local contractors so they are probably not the cheapest if that is your only criteria. They use SolarBoard which is OSB with aluminum foil on it to reduce heat buildup, real 40 yr ridge shingles instead of plain 20 year shingles, painted lead stack boots instead of rubber, factory painted drip edge, and painted roof vents. They put plastic in the attic to help contain debris falling through during the strip off, kept the site very clean from day to day, and in general did a very professional job. Arnie listens carefully and is easy to deal with. The only negative comment is that the installation of the drip edge was sloppy but it does not affect the function.
Description of Work: Remove current cedar roof, redeck the house, add shingles and vents.
