In May 2005, I had erosion problems in back yard, also needed some kind of planting on the west side of house to keep the subsoil from drying out & aggravating foundation problems. Newly widowed, I had never done any gardening or yardwork before. I contacted Schulz Nursery, thinking a local company that had been in business for years would know the best solutions for my problems. They may be good at growing plants for the wholesale/ retail market, but they DO NOT have a CLUE about landscaping: Undersized plants having different water and shade requirements planted together so I have to hand-water everything. Weed cloth prevents plants from spreading & filling the bed. The river rock holds SA summer heat like an oven & killed several plants last year. They were replaced 10/2005 with more of same plants (again dying). Landscape designer no longer there; new designer left. Called to complain about dead plants in April 2006. Owner said it was my fault & they will not do anything about it.
Description of Work: CATEGORY - LANDSCAPING MAY, 2005 *Erosion control & landscaping in back yard: turf removed, steel edging installed around new beds, beds were filled with soil, covered with weed cloth then topped with a thick layer of river rock. Various plants were then inserted in one bed. *Foundation planting: turf removed for bed on west side of house, steel edging installed around bed, bed filled with soil, plants inserted, wood bark mulch applied. OCTOBER, 2005 *Replacement of dead plants in both areas after 6 months (work had 1 year guarantee). Additional plants inserted in back yard bed. *Tree planted in front yard, yard fertilized

The personnel are very helpful about plants and all the various products for treating diseases of the lawns and plants. They keep a good healthy stock of plants.
