 + -1 moreThe first estimate I got was for 776.00. The second plumber told me 495.00. Steve Broussard charges 65.00 an hour plus materials. He estimated it as a 2-3 hour job. He finished in less than 2 hours and did an additional plumbing repair in my sink. Both jobs for 245.00. I was not watching him work, so he could have taken his time, but he came in under time and was honest about it.
Description of Work: I had a leak in the cold water pipe leading from my main line into my laundry shed. The pipe ran under the slab and came up in back of the washing machine. The hole was in galvanized pipe that had been joined to copper. Long story short, my plumber replaced galvanized pipe with copper, and ran it in such a way that it was not under the slab. Also, he tied it into the existing hot water pipe, so my hot became my cold. This was fine with me, as there is no hot water in the shed, anyway, and I always wash in cold. By tying it in, he used a lot less copper tubing, and saved a lot of time which equals money. The other two plumbers did not think of this, even though they knew I had no hot water in the shed.
