I would have liked to hire ASAP but never answered.

Would have used him but purchased used (but in great shape)office cabinets from another home and repurposed them saving several hundred dollars.

He did not charge me anything for the consultation. He was helpful and gave me some advice and I took it.

Good, knowledgeable, but price was high

We spent a lot of time shopping for the replacement roof for our house. Once we decided on the roofing product we talked to several contractors about rotten wood replacement that needed to be done at the same time as the roof because it was the soffet and rafter beams (open soffet roof). The beams were 35+ years old and exposed to the elements. There were 35-40 beams 3" x 6" x 3' that needed to be replaced plus a dozen larger beams. We decided on Steve Ross Construction. Steve also had a previous working experience with our roofing contractor (Joe Hall) so Joe Hall made all the arrangements with Steve Ross once we selected his company. Joe Hall and Steve Ross workers had to do a well coordinated dance to work with each other. As Joe Hall tore-off roof sections, Steve Ross had to be right there replacing soffet wood. We were happy NOT to have had to help organize the work or supervise it! Both companies worked really well with each other. Steve Ross employees were helpful, prompt, cleaned as they went, amd Steve Ross himself was there everyday working. The wood work looks excellent! We went with a slightly different concept than the original so we wouldn't have future rot problems. We used hardy-plank across the front of all the rafter beams and trimmed and capped the larger beams with hardy-plank. It was Steve's idea and we love it. The idea will be much more functional for the house, yet it doesn't change the look/feel of the house.

They did a great job. They were very thorough. They did what we asked them to do. They have a very busy schedule so it takes awhile for them to actually get to the job. We had to wait a couple of weeks. They did a good job once they got there.

Steve was referred to us by the roofing company that was installing our roof at the same time. This job was completed back in November. The finished work inside was done well. The framed area was textured and painted to match the rest of the ceiling. The living room and hallway drywall work looks good. The only problem we had was the skylight that the roofing company ordered did not fit the opening. The roofer and Steve did not communicate or measure correctly. Another skylight was ordered using the actual measurements at no extra charge. The subcontractor did all the drywall and painting. They did a good job and left the area clean each day.

Steve arrived about a week after the estimate, (the one nice day between 2 snowstorms that week!) right on time. Work was done quickly and the new paint matches perfectly.
