This company was recommended to us by a friend. There were ups and downs for sure. I wish I could remember names, but it was several months ago, and I'm just now getting around to writing this review. The Good: 1. The company gave us the initial estimate quickly 2. The price was reasonable and competitive 3. A representative was available in a timely fashion to come take measurements 4. The phone receptionist was friendly and helpful 5. The guys who installed my giant foyer window did it quickly and easily which was very impressive I thought for as large as it was 6. The first guy who visited my house, did a good job showing me problems with certain windows and saved me money by convincing me that solar screens would last longer and probably serve my needs better than replacing all of the windows. The Bad: The wrong measurements were taken, so after waiting several weeks, many of the windows had to be redone. This was discovered after they had come out to the house to install them and realized they didn't fit.While they were still at the house, we discovered that there was a miscommunication on one of the windows. They had measured a door (which had a window) that was totally shielded by the sun and which had no other windows. I told them since they had to redo all those windows anyway, just forget about that door since it didn't need a shade. HOWEVER, there was a little rectangular window above another door that they had forgotten to include. The rep told me that including the smaller window would increase my overall price. This did not make sense to me, so I repeated it to him, and quot;so, you're telling me if we forget about making the 5'x2' screen and instead make a 1'x2' screen, it is going to cost me more???and quot; His response was, and quot;yes because you are adding a window.and quot; Say what?! Apparently the measurements guy felt that 1 - 1 + 1 = 2. That sort of helped explain why the measurements were off I think. Fortunately I was vindicated by the fact that when I called the company and spoke with the receptionist she understood exactly, laughed about it with me, and corrected the issue. Of course I wouldn't have been laughing if she hadn't corrected it. Summary: The work was pretty solid and most of the people were friendly, so I very well might use them again, but I can't honestly recommend them to others. A company has to really impress me for me to put my own reputation on the line with a recommendation.

They are just fantastic. And Jimmy is just a great guy...honest and honed in on fair pricing and extraordinary service. Love 'em....just love 'em.

The install went really well. Jimmy did the work himself and worked late into the evening to get it finished.

Excellent - excellent. They came out first to measure the window. It took a couple of days to have the window fabricated. Arrived this morning and installed the glass. Great job -- I will use them again. Just a GREAT experience - from the person we talked to on the phone to arrange the service - to the fellow who measured the window and the installer.

Do allow some flexability getting an estimate and visit. They were very responsive to our calls we just had a little issue finding the right time when we were home and they were out writting estimates. Jimmy finally gave me a ball park estimate on the phone and told me he felt it would be between $50 of what the written estimate was. We took that number and plugged it into our budget. When they came to do the detaied estimate we found the price very close to the phone quote. Part of what we are doing will mean cutting down two of our large bathroom mirrors. They took these back to their shop and told us when we got to that point in our project where we needed them, to call and they would cut them down, come back to the house and install the mirrors for a minimum additional charge. We are pleased with the final, end result. We had a small leak where the two pieces joined and the company sent someone out right away to fix the issue. the company didn't come in with the highest quote, nor the lowest, however we were glad we decided to use them in the end. I would recommend this company to anyone needing glass walls installed.

great! low price and finished the job early

Showed up a little early for the estimate. Showed up a little early to perform the work. Completed in almost exactly the estimated time to complete the job (3 hours). Estimate was accurate. Very courteous and professional. Made no attempt to sell me new windows. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Start to finish they were great. They gave me an estimated cost and it was right on. They were prompt and courteous.

Do's: A nice clean simple shop and friendly folks. It's not the most fancy place in the world with the most fancy waiting room in the world, but then that's pretty much the case with glass repair businesses. I coordinated in advance when I was coming, so they could do the work over my lunch time, as the nice simple Mexican food restaurant next door has an outside seating area. I chose them because of a good Angie's list score / review and they did well, and I would use them again. Thanks for the good job by the folks at Mansfield Glass and Mirror. Do Not's: (this comment does not apply to Mansfield Glass and Mirror.) This is knowledge to share from a previous experience with another repair house in another state. Few years ago, I was traveling out of state, and got a windshield chip, and wanted to fix it asap. I let my auto insurance company pick the repair place. it was a bad decision. the place was overpriced. Far worse, the people did not use a suction cup type device to evacuate the air from the crack prior to adding the wick in glue. this resulted in trapped air in the repair area. Suggestion: always ask if your repair shop will pull a vacuum on the repaired area when the adhesive is added to the chip. I would never use a shop again without a working vacuum repair tool for this kind of work. Once again, this advice has nothing to do with my experience with Mansfield Glass and Mirror, as they did my job right.

Wonderful, I called on a Saturday, they were closing up for the day and I had planned to make an appointment. Since we were so close, they came right over, and measured, gave estimate and we finalized the job since it was so reasonable. I was told the glass would be in and installed by Thursday. They called on Wednesday with it ready to go. I can't say enough good things about them. They were on time and had everything prior to estimated time. I also wanted a shade for the transom and the glass panels on the sides of the front door. He gave me an excellent reference which I used and was pleased with the results of that referral. In fact, I need to call again to have a glass pane replaced in my master bath. I will never use anyone else for any glass work.

It went great. Belinda at the office was very helpful. Jimmy came out and gave me an estimate which was the best price around. And James did a fantastic job replacing the old windows. Everyone was professional and friendly. The windows look incredible!

Fine. I called with my measurements and received an immediate quote over the phone for labor and materials. The quote was what I expected to spend. Appointment was scheduled and the tech showed up on time, verified my measures and quote, and place the order. They scheduled installation within one week per their estimate and again showed up promptly for installation. The window replacements were made in a clean and professional manner.

Excellent! Could not have used a better company. Their price was much better than the 'big' guys. They called to tell me they were running late. After arriving almost 20 minutes late, Marvin could not apologize enough for being so late. I don't consider 20 minutes late at all but their standards are higher than any other service company I've dealt with in a long time. They performed their job efficiently and professionally. While they could not guarantee the mirror would not break, they were very good at what they do and saved the mirror.

If the job isn't right, go back and see James. He will make it right.

They always came when they said they would and always do a terrific job. Very kind and personable.

THEY DID THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANOR AND OFFERED ME A DISCOUNT AND I DID NOT EVEN HAVE A COUPON. THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL TO ME AND DID THE WORK WELL BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS.

JAMES WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HE WAS FLEXIBLE AS WELL. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME AND WAS A VERY GOOD QUALITY JOB. I REALLY LIKE THIS COMPANY AND WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.
