Mr Smith has done several jobs for me in the past 7 years and I know that the work Greentag/Mr Smith has done for my house is of the best quality and will last a long time. I highly recommend Greentag to anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable price.

 + 10 moreThe house we bought had substantial fire damage as well as foundation problems, and required a complete kitchen makeover, painting throughout, replacement of interior and exterior doors, plumbing fixtures, ceiling fans and light installations. It also needed to be completely repainted throughout following re-texturing to repair some of the interior damage caused by the foundation problems. Carl and Diana did an excellent job with everything, giving me a kitchen that is practical as well as absolutely gorgeous. They picked out all the new kitchen appliances according to my specifications, coordinating everything beautifully. They arranged for the new kitchen cabinets to be built, also according to my somewhat demanding specifications, found the sub-contractors for the painting and new floor installation. I am so impressed with everything they either did personally or arranged to have done. Everything was completed according to the specifications and time limitations and almost within the original budget. The budget overages were mostly because once we saw what excellent work was being done, we elected to include some new flooring and a few other items. As for Carl and Diana, what can I say? They are just "good people." They listen to what you say and do their very best to make your remodeling dreams come true. They certainly did that for me. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others and I am sure they will be back in our home soon to make a few more of our dream a reality.
Description of Work: In September we purchased a home that had not been gently loved but had a layout that very well suited our needs and we really liked the location. But it needed a lot of work. Our real estate agent referred us to Carl and Diana and although we had heard so many horror stories about home remodels gone bad, we knew that we were not capable of doing the work that needed to be done. Repairs would be extensive, particularly to the kitchen and some work needed to be done to bring the house up to code standards. The initial proposal for work fell within our budget and we were very impressed with Carl's knowledge of home construction and local sub-contractors as well as with Diana's very supportive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for us, even down to baking us some superb pumpkin bread and bringing a few plants from her own garden to put in our front yard. The following is a list of the major items they completed for us: 1. Repair of exterior masonry and interior walls present as a result of foundations problems (repaired by another contractor) 2. Ceilings and walls re-textured and repainted throughout the house - sub-contracted and personally supervised 3. New kitchen and laundry cabinets - sub-contracted and personally supervised 4. Selection and installation of new refrigerator, microwave, oven, stovetop, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. 5. Repair of hot water heater bringing it up to code. 6. New plumbing fixtures in kitchen and bathroom. 7. Installation of new counter tops in kitchen 8. New lighting fixtures and ceiling fans throughout the house and cleanup/repair of electrical outlets. And many many more personal touches that add so much to our enjoyment of our new home.

 + 13 moreFrom the very beginning, we were impressed with their kindness and compassion while installing the handrails. At the time, my husband asked about what else they did because we were looking for a company to do odds and ends around the house (basically a handyman.) After many projects, we can honestly say we have never had a project completed that we weren't satisfied with the work. They take the time to ask questions so that they will know exactly what your expectations are. Along the way, Carl make sure that you understand each step of the process so that you can be an informed consumer. We also appreciate their honesty and their prices are fair.
Description of Work: We have worked with Carl and Diane, the owners, for over four years and will go to no one else for anything involving work to our house. They have done everything from installing handrails for our elderly mother to remodeling our bathroom (e.g., flooring, drywall, resurfacing cabinets, painting, minor electrical, hanging ceiling fans, and much, much more.)
