EJ' s Appliance Repair

These idiots were sent to my house by Homshield. Customer service and repair technician service was horrible. Bad communication on parts ordered, tracking and appointment scheduling all THREEE times they cam to my house to fix my washer machine,. The third and final time the technician came to my house he looked like he was high on Meth,, tore apart my washer, cut his hand open and bled all over my house, slapped the washer back together and said he could not fix it and it would have to be replaced. He then filed his report to Homeshield saying that they needed to send it to another technician to have a second opinion, all of this with us being without a washer for a month and them coming to my house THREE times! Stay away from EJ's appliance repair and Homeshield for that matter!

We had an LG pedestal washer hose burst in December 2022. Our home warranty company, American Home Shield, dispatched EJ’s Appliance Repair to assess and repair our washer. EJ's Appliance Repair came out and assessed the broken unit and determined what part was needed for the repair. Parts were ordered in a timely manner and they were scheduled to come out and fix the pedestal washer. They had to come out two times to attempt the repair. Each time it appeared the machine was fixed. However, the part they put in did not fix the issue after having run the washer two to three times. On the 3rd attempt, they canceled on us and pushed the repair back to Home Shield. In the end, we realized they order/installed the wrong part. This was the reason the washer continued to fail and malfunction. Due to the wrong part being ordered and the "repair" failing, this left us with a prolonged dry time from the initial water damage incident. Friendliness ★★★★☆ Each person that came out were very friendly and respectful. Communicating ★★★★☆ They are good at communicating what needs to happen and also with scheduling. Reliability ★★★☆☆ They brought out a diagram of the pedestal washer to figure out which part they need to replace. These diagrams were from online parts vendors. This is fine in my opinion. However, we later found out the part they ordered was the wrong part. They came out two times to replace the damaged hose with this wrong part. The hose they replaced it with did not look like the original part. They claimed this could be due to versioning of internal parts. While this generally can be true. In this case, it was not. The part they ordered was a hose that belonged to a different area of the same pedestal washer. It may be that this washer is not a standard item one runs into often as all three of their service technicians openly admitted they never have seen this washer. The way each technician spoke, it was clear they are able to repair appliances. It's just unfortunate that a more rare item was unable to be fixed by this outfit. Service Description ★★☆☆ As stated, each technician that came out did not understand how this pedestal washer worked. One of them told me I should watch my washer when every time I am washing clothes. This makes little sense to me as no one I know sits and watches a washing machine while it runs every time. Responsible ☆☆☆☆☆ This is the only part in which I will rate them lowly. They failed two times to repair the washer and they said if they would have to come out a third time, they would report this to Home Shield as an unrepairable item. This did not happen. They failed to follow through with what they said was going to happen. It seems they did not want to admit they failed to repair the item.

Although the technician who came to our home was kind and knowledgeable, the office staff is severely lacking. They don't return calls in a timely manner, make excuses, and then to top it off failed to turn in our repair need to AHS for more than a week, delaying our washing machine repair. Now that we've been without a washer for two weeks, they finally called and the scheduler was downright rude when the fault is theirs entirely. Do yourself a favor and pick anyone else but EJ's.

Horrible customer service, horrible repairs, inexperienced employees and horrible follow up. Everything about this has been a disaster. You cannot get them on the phone, only voicemail. When you leave a voicemail even multiple times they do not return your calls. Please do not give these people your money. I should have checked out the Better Business Bureau before allowing them in my home.

First off, they were hired through American home Shield and surprisingly, came out within a couple of hours the same day we called, which was today. Tony, the technician was very professional, very polite and certainly knew what he was doing. Our dryer sounded like it was grinding rocks and when Tony left you could hardly hear it running, fantastic service, excellent workmanship. I might add, they did not have the parts in their shop but they went to a local distributor and found the parts instead of us having to wait on them ordering them. Dryer up and running same day, great customer service, awesome. Bill J.

This company is horrific ! Do not use them ! I have been without a dishwasher for over a month . The tech, Nathan is lazy and will not give you the time of day to diagnosis it . Instead he replaces parts with used or the same part to make the customer think it is working !!

I had to use this vendor through American Home Shield, and he 'fixed' my dryer so it worked for a short period of time, only to break again. I had to file another claim, pay again, and they didn't respond to the claim request for DAYS. Then, when they finally called, it would be another several days for a diagnostic video consultation. My dryer has already been broken for days, why should I have to wait WEEKS to get it fixed?!??! They can't be that busy. And if they are, it's because they can't fix it right the first time.

EJ's was assigned as my service provider by American Home Shield. The young man that came to fix my dishwasher, but the problem didn't go away--- it kept sensing water and wouldn't shut off, which was the original problem. They came back and said they needed to order a motor, which took over a week, but that they couldn't put it in until a plumber came out to turn off the water to the washer. I scheduled a plumber through AHS for AN ADDITIONAL $75. It took several weeks for one to come because-- after the DFW freeze, plumbers were only handling emergencies. After the plumber came and turned off the water to the unit, I called EJ's back---about 6 weeks had passed now with no dishwasher. The guy came to replace the motor, but left his screwdriver and a single screw left on my kitchen floor. The unit wobbled and wasn't secure---probably something to do with the screw. I texted the guy--sent him a pic of his screwdriver to come get, called the store--- the NEVER returned my call. Now, the washer does the SAME THING IT DID BEFORE. It senses moisture and won't shut off. After spending $150 and waiting for 3 months now, I STILL DON'T HAVE A WASHER THAT WORKS. The thing that bothers me the most is that they won't return my call or respond to my text. I'm a reasonable person--- but I give up on these people, I'm buying a new dishwasher and recommend no one use them.
