Dolce Pools

qDolce Pools was our choice for this project. Sam came to our house and discussed our wants and desires for our pool. Sam then designed a beautiful free form pool utilizing the space we had in the yard incorporating a retaining wall at the back of the property where there was a utility easement. We signed the contract, gave our deposit and we were on our way to achieving our dream. In just a few days we were informed the crew would arrive at 8am with their equipment. The next day we were awakened to the sound of a BobCat digging the hole for the pool. The crew did a fantastic job in both digging the hole and not damaging any of the surrounding shrubs and structures. To our amazement the digging of a 19' by 35' by 71/2'deep pool was completed in one day. The next day another crew arrived and laid the r-bar for the entire pool and extensive patio. Now I have to mention that this design called for a three strep raised patio besides the regular patio at ground level because of the retaining wall behind the patio.That part of the construction was also completed in one day. The following day was city inspection day. The City Building inspector had to inspect all the r-bar to make sure it was up to code. We passed. Several days later Tyler informed us the Gunnite truck would be there the next day. They arrived by 8am and proceeded to spray the gunnite over the framing of the pool.It was fascinating to watch each step of the construction. Now we had to go to the tile store and pick out the coping for the top edge of the pool and the tile for just under the coping on the side of the pool. We also were having a Beach Entry with a bubbler at the shallow end of the pool. Tyler let us know the Stone men would be there to set the stones for the Beach Entry. Again we were fascinated watching them cut & lay these stones. It was like a giant jigsaw puzzle. These same men installed the facade on the 3' wall at the deep end of the.pool which was the front of the raised patio. At the top of the facade we had three vents for three waterfalls which these experts also installed.These same men Cut & laid the coping stones and the tile inside the pool.The next project was for another crew we'll call the Cement Men. They poured the concrete and smoothed it for the patio, steps and raised patio. I have to say that with each step taken and each crew that worked, we were informed by Tyler prior to their arriving. The next step of the project was to build the retaining wall across the back of the property. The Stone men did that and also built a shorter one in front which gave us a planting area. The next step was the Plaster men that plastered over the gunnite. These men plastered and smoothed the entire inside of the pool and put tiles on the edge of the steps and built in bench. Lastly the patio was painted with patio paint. I have to point out that every step of the way, we were informed and if we had any questions or problems they were addressed immediately. All the crews that worked on this project were professionals and cleaned up after themselves. They were all pleasant and courteous. We were instructed on the use and care of our pool and filters. People that have seen it or pictures raved about how different and beautiful it is. On the final inspection, the inspector stated how beautiful it is & especially loved the raised deck and waterfalls. Thank you, Sam & Tyler for a fantastic job well done! Yes, I would gladly recommend this company to any one any time with pleasure!

Our property is shaped somewhat like a slice of pie. Most of the room for a pool was on the side of our house. We were not sure what could be done in that limited area. But Sam came up with a wonderful plan and great price, we signed the contract that night. Once they got started things went quickly and accurately. During the build we requested a change to expand the deck size and Tyler had no issues making them happen. There were no issues throughout the build, if he did kitchen or bathroom remodels also I would hire him. If all people that were hired to do a job did the work that Dolce Pools produced you would not need Angies List to tell you about their quality. It would all be EXCELLENT. This summer we enjoyed the pool, we have no issues with the pool. Do's -- Hire Dolce Pools and make sure you give yourself enough deck space, we almost didn't give ourself enough decking. Don'ts -- If you are thinking about having a pool built don't delay.

The salesman, Sam, was very pleasant to deal with from the beginning. He carefully explained all of our options and the pros and cons of salt water versus chlorine pool, what type of pool decking to use, etc. He didn't try to persuade us one way or another on these decisions--he just laid out the facts and let us decide. He worked with our schedule (not his which we experienced with another builder) and he never hurried us. He sat with us and patiently listened to what we wanted, and on his next visit, he brought back quite a few designs to look at. He worked within our budget and didn't try to convince us to purchase more than what we were comfortable with. Once we agreed on a design and a price, he told us exactly what we could expect over the next few months. Tyler took over from there and again, he had a very low key, pleasant personality--not pushy at all. He kept us informed every step of the way, and we always felt like we were being dealt with honestly. He was there each time a crew arrived to do work and made sure the work was done to his (and our) expectations. All of the crews were very professional and did high quality work. If we had any questions or concerns, Tyler was always quick to respond. There were a few little hitches in some of the work that was completed, but Tyler had the crews come back and correct the problem immediately. The end result was a beautiful pool and patio decking, and we are extremely pleased. Sam and Tyler delivered on all of their promises, I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in building a pool. Fantastic job!

Tyler, Sam and the entire team are a pleasure to work with.Everything was explained from the beginning and communication was 5 stars If I had to build a pool again I would definitely go with Dolce Pools We had several bids and even though Dolce Pools was not the lowest priced I would Highly Recommend them based on the quality and professionalism they demonstrated from the beginning.

I was very happy with my experience with Dolce Pools with the first contact on. I reached out to several contractors and Tyler was quick to respond and had a good attitude. He came and sat with me while we designed my pool together so that he could provide an accurate price estimate. I communicated back and forth a few times to iron out details and he was able to provide good answers to all of my questions about things such as surface options, low chlorine vs salt water and the like. Upon agreeing to estimate I was fortunate that there was a cancellation in the excavator's schedule so we were able to start digging on pool within 2 days of finalizing the plan. Tyler got the permit that next day in order to make it happen. Normally due to schedules we likely would have started digging in a couple of weeks. His team was fast, good quality of work, good regular communication with Tyler and all of my expectations were met! I would definitely recommend them to others.

We're very impressed with them but we're still looking around. They quoted me for $46000. They have great reviews. They were very professional They've answered all of our questions. When we have follow-up questions through email, they're very responsive.

Tyler and his crew are OUTSTANDING and have provided me with a very beautiful pool. The thing that stands out the most for this company though is the EXCELLENT customer service that is provided by Tyler. He responses quickly to any request or questions and always goes above and beyond what is asked. I have a cement hippo fountain that belonged to my brother-in-law who passed away several years ago and is very special to my family. When I told Tyler I would probably try to get a small pump and hook up the hippo or maybe just put a hose in it so it could be used ....Tyle said he would place plumbing so the hippo could be turned on and off at the pool pump ...and he didn't charge me any extra. THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and meant so much to me. I have texted and called him with a ton of questions and he always treats my questions and me as important. He never acted too busy and even when he went on vacation he made sure to let me know that if I needed anything I could contact him. My pool was certainly not the highest priced job ...actually for a pool it was on the low side ... but Tyler always treated me like I was a million dollar customer. I think Tyler and Dolce Pools is the BEST and would recommend them to anyone looking for quailty work and outstanding customer service!!! Thank you Tyler!!!!

Outstanding Pool and Spa. Tyler did an amazing job. Our pools not only function well, but looks amazing. He did everything we asked for and he delivered. I admit I am difficult to satisfy on quality and Tyler delivered on the quality beyond expectation. This was an easy build and working with Tyler was great. He kept us informed, he is very supportive and provides great customer service. Every part of the build went great. He truly cares about what he does and knows the pool business. I would highly recommend Tyler if you want a top quality pool and/or spa.

We did our research, and talked to a lot of people in the area before choosing Dolce Pools to install our pool. We were under unique circumstances, as we had purchased our house in Texas in April, but weren't going to be moving from Massachusetts until June. Knowing summer was going to be in full swing by the time we arrived in Texas, we wanted to get the pool building process started right away so that it would be ready when we arrived. I initially contacted Tyler over the phone, and he offered to swing by our new property to take a look at our backyard so that he could draw up some plans for a pool based on what we told him we wanted. He went out of his way to email and text us multiple pictures so we could narrow down what we liked and didn't like in order to come up with a design that suited our wants and needs. The initial price estimate given to us was exactly what we were charged. Any additional expense incurred was only because we chose to upgrade our pool coping choice, and make some additions to our outdoor kitchen. The cost of everything was itemized from the beginning, so we knew exactly what we were paying for, which was not the case with some other estimates we received. Tyler was very conscientious of our project budget, and was great about helping us find ways to cut expenses in areas that weren't as important to us so that we could upgrade other details. Tyler is very detail oriented and thorough with his planning, so there were no surprises along the way. He always checked in with us about even the smallest details before he proceeded with anything throughout the entire process, which I appreciated very much. Many times with big projects like this, a contractor will do something first, and then tell you about it later saying "If you don't like it, we can change it"...which puts you in a tough spot, making you feel guilty if you aren't happy with their decision. This was never the case with Tyler because we were always informed and included in all decisions along the way. All of the people Tyler hired to do each phase of the build were extremely polite and professional, and Tyler was on the job site often throughout each phase to make sure the work was done to his (and our) specifications. He also handled all of the details involved in the permit process, and kept up with arranging the inspections as needed so as not to slow down the process. I cannot say enough about his patience with us as we made our selections for tile, decking, coping, plaster color, etc - and after the pool was completed as he "trained" us to manage the chemicals, take care of the equipment, etc. Our pool was completed several months ago, but Tyler still checks in with us periodically to see if we have any questions or concerns, and I do not hesitate to contact him for advice concerning the upkeep of the pool. He did not just "disappear" once he got his money! :) I could write a lot more about how satisfied we were with the experience, but in an effort not to bore you with the details, I will just say that we were and are extremely satisfied with the entire process, and most importantly with the end results. We love our pool and outdoor kitchen, and feel that every penny spent was well worth it.

Called Dolce for estimate. He came out within a week of 1st conversation. We accepted his bid and plan and work began about a week later. Tyler was available always for anything that came up during the process. He addressed all problems and has even been available to us for questions about pool maintenance. Tyler being on hand an readily available made the process smooth.

WE decided to build a pool behind our home of ten years. We knew the yard would be torn up and the place would look like a war zone for awhile. Dolce pools (Tyler) assured us when he was finished everything would look great and......it did! We are very pleased with Tyler, his contractors and our new pool. Throughout the process, we found Tyler and his contractors to be very responsive to our requests and very professional in the accomplishment of this project. The craftsmanship is first rate and we have received many very nice comments on the looks and construction of the pool. Just one example: the coping crew went through several pallets of stone to find the perfect colors and matches we wanted. I'm sure this was very irritating for them but they never said anything negative. They just kept bring in more stone until it was perfect. Very nice job. Thanks for all of your attention and hard work, Tyler. I would definitely hire Dolce pools to build my next pool and I would highly recommend you and your company to anyone who is serious about building.

We chose Dolce to remodel our pool. After receiving several quotes from other companies, they were competitive and seemed most knowledgeable. Tyler is a real pleasure to work with. We had several large parties coming up and his communication was A++. He made sure that crews were available, rain/weather schedule taken into account etc. At the last minute several storms rolled through and we ended up breaking the job into different phases so that we could have at least the main part of the pool remodeled in time for our events. Tyler made sure the job ran smoothly, was at the job site daily, and even helped us the entire week afterwards when our pool service company wouldn't. He went above and beyond to make sure we had our pool ready in a timely manner for our events and looking gorgeous. His crews were some of the most neat and friendly contractors I've dealt with over the years and were all very good at communicating when they were coming/going and most important, they were excellent at cleaning up EVERY DAY! I never had to worry about our children stepping on construction debris, or my dogs getting into something they shouldn't. We used our backyard throughout the remodel as it was still enjoyable during the entire process. Would I use them again, definitely. We are also looking at having them do some hardscaping and entertainment areas in our backyard as well.

We found Tyler Neufeldt, owner of Dolce Pool LLC, on Angie?s List early on when we began seriously considering building a pool. We originally contacted Tyler in 2012 in anticipation for building a pool within the next twelve months. However, our son, daughter and a nephew all planned summer/fall weddings in 2013 so any pool construction plans were put on hold until January, 2014. When we were ready, Tyler was ready to meet with us. Tyler answered our many questions, even the ones we didn?t know to ask. He was very patient, professional and great to work with. He is knowledgeable about all phases of the pool construction process, with a lot of experience, and took time to explain each step. He provided a beautiful pool design presentation for us on his laptop, unique to our property, at a reasonable cost, which really helped us focus on the key elements we wanted to fit our lifestyle and budget. From start to finish, staking out the shape and adjusting it (which we did) before digging, during the construction process to the final city inspection, Tyler monitored every detail. He and his crew were very professional, considerate and respectful of our home and property. Our neighbors were even impressed as they watched the project progress. One even stopped by to ask for Tyler?s business card. Although we have never been pool owners, Tyler walked us through the mechanics of the equipment and gave us the confidence to keep everything balanced and running smoothly. We are several weeks post construction and Tyler, going the extra mile in great customer service, has checked in with us and responds quickly when a question arises. We are very happy with our pool and the transformation of our outdoor space. We look forward to many years enjoying our new pool and outdoor space.

Honestly, if I could build two pools just to work with Tyler again, I totally would. He's easy-going and funny (you end up spending a lot of time with your pool builder, so it's nice to actually like them as a person), but also very sharp and on top of every detail of your pool's construction. As such, he's a total pleasure to work with. Our pool is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and extremely functional, as are the deck and patio enhancements. Tyler manages all his jobs himself and the crews he uses for each phase of construction were all skilled, efficient, and courteous despite working in 100 degree heat most days. The biggest stressor for me in dealing with contractors is not knowing what's going on or when something is supposed to happen and feeling like a nag when I have to ask for this information. So I particularly appreciated that Tyler kept me informed of what contractors to expect each day or if there was a delay in construction, why there was a delay and when I could expect things to move forward. I never felt like there were unnecessary delays (usually rain). I never felt like I was bothering him to ask questions, and I always got answers quickly. All equipment used was high quality, as were the finishes used and any minor issues we've had, he's gotten fixed quickly. We did splurge on the flagstone decking but now that the initial "ouch" of the cost is behind us, it's well worth it. It's really beautiful and functional and low maintenance. When building a pool, you end up doing a lot of other stuff, too, and he had great recommendations for folks, like repairing sprinkler lines and resurfacing our patio. I don't feel like I've adequately done justice to how thoroughly satisfied we were with the entire experience, but perhaps it suffices to say that you should definitely give him a call if you're building a pool. Be prepared that he can design the whole thing right on his computer screen with you watching, which is very cool to watch and be able to tweak in real time, so make time for that.

Start to finish took five weeks and the pool looks and operates superbly. Tyler certainly knows the pool business and is great to work with. A true professional that cares about his customers. He provided us numerous recommendations before and during the construction phases and went beyond what we expected from a contractor. He really stayed on top of the various construction phases and required city inspections in order to avoid any delays and to meet the timeframe he quoted us. We can't say enough about Dolce Pools and have already recommended his services to two of our friends that are interested in having a pool constructed in their yards. Dolce Pools was not the only pool company we explored before we decided on which company to contract with.

Excellent Pool Contractor, Tyler is the owner of Dolce Pool LLC. A friend recommended him to us when we were looking for someone to put a pool in for us. We are first time pool owners and the whole idea was frankly a little scary. We had heard of so many horror stories of pool builders. We got 3 bids and were surprised that Tyler's was the lowest price. The other 2 companies had sales representatives and having Tyler, the owner of his company, give us the presentation and on a computer so we actually saw what our pool would look like in our yard helped seal the deal. We found out that he had worked previously for a very large pool builder and literally had hundreds of pools going at one time before striking out on his own. His low key professional manner just gave us a lot of confidence. Well, as I am sure you have guessed, we could not be happier. I have never gone out of my way to write a testimonial for any company but am so impressed, I thought I would give him the kudos by doing so. At every stage of the process Tyler would be there to make sure that stage was done right. For example, while the hole was being dug, he was there to make sure all the depth changes were correct and even the actual boundries of the pool was proper. Same for the next day when the steel was laid, plumbing, gunite, plaster, and through the complete process. Believe me, by him being there he was on top of it and caught things that most contract labour workers might have missed and would have been wrong otherwise. And last, but not least, Even though our pool was a lower end pool and he had big jobs in wealthy neighborhoods, he treated us and this job like it was a million dollar project. If my mother needed a pool, or my best of friends, I'd make sure and use this company and Tyler for your job. Our pool is complete and still Tyler is johnny on the spot to provide us with any help or supplies we need. Great Job Dolce Pools!

Professional but price on high side

Tyler came out and was very friendly, he inspected our yard and shared ideas. He let us know that he was busy and would have something to us in 7-10 days. We called him after about 2 weeks, he said he was busy and hadn't got to us. About a month after our initial meeting we received an email from Tyler, stating his apologies for still not getting anything to us. And that he would be on vacation for the next 2 weeks and would have time to get something to us when he got back. I doubt that will happen, in the mean time we will find someone who wants the work.

Our experience with Tyler Neufeldt has been exceptional. He has carefully overseen every aspect of our pool construction. We spoke daily throughout construction and he was onsite regularly, sometimes multiple times a day. He communicated clearly about each step, kept the project moving, and was respectful of our budget. He stuck to his original estimate and did not nickel & dime us; the only increases were from small upgrades we made along the way. With Tyler, he was our go-to person, we only dealt with him, he arranged every service provider. He also was able to get our pool built within the timeline he projected despite it being the busy season. When his sub-contractors made a mess on our street, he noticed, and had them come back to clean it up, so important if you have a picky home owner's association. Our finished product is a quality, well-built pool. We would use him again, and recommend him without hesitation.
