This was an absolute nightmare that no homeowner should have to experience . Greg Lee is a habitual liar. We entered into a contract with him to build, install and paint custom cabinets. What we got was a 1/2 done job after we paid him 80% of payments. Additional was due upon completion well he never completed. We have been 2 months without a kitchen and he has kept our money. Try to find his business through the Better business Bureau you can’t. Look up the address he list for his business it is a random apt address. He has over 10 jusdgmwbts against him and has been found guilty 6 times. If you do your research which I wish I had you’ll find he’s not a legitimate business and is not registered as a business in Texas.

Under no circumstances should you give GREG LEE any money. He operates under several different business names... Crossway Woodworks, G3 Custom Cabinets, New Life Woodworks... & I'm sure he's got more as he gets more exposed. He has ripped off THOUSANDS of dollars from people. He lies with such ease, comes up with excuse and after excuse to why jobs don't get complete after money has been taken. If you do some searching you'll find he's been doing this for years.

Under no circumstances should Greg Lee be hired for a construction project. We got 3 bids for our project. Greg's bid was in the middle, as far as cost, and we chose him because we had a personal relationship with him and liked his design. Since there was a friendship there, we trusted him and did not research his background like we would have with another contractor. While he has good woodworking/cabinet building skills, he is not capable of managing a project and subcontractors. Our project was not a full kitchen remodel, but did include some demolition, additional cabinets, backsplash, and countertops. We were told the project would be 2-3 weeks, but lasted more than 5 weeks due to poor scheduling of subcontractors and general excuses from Greg. There were several instances of outright lies which impacted the timeliness of the project and availability of certain materials. Two months after the project was complete, the subcontractor who provided the countertops arrived at our front door threatening a lien against our property due to Greg's failure to pay him for the the work. Contact with Greg regarding this issue resulted in more excuses before he cut off communication with us. When we tried to locate his business, using the 2 addresses he uses, we found one was a resale shop and the other was Kroger grocery store! He lies and deceives with the ease of a seasoned con artist. We were taken, and if he will do this to a friend, image what he will do to you! DO NOT HIRE!

Where to begin? Greg came to my home and seemed very professional, promising that my job would be started on a Monday and finished by Friday. He kept referring to his "guys" and his "team," though I would later find out that it was a single unlicensed subcontractor doing the tile, plumbing, and electrical work. Though I only started out wanting to convert my tub to a shower, he told me how easy it would be to tile the floor and add lighting, and it would only cost about 1k more. It seemed too good to pass up, so I agreed to the upgrades. He asked for half the money upfront, which I thought was very reasonable. A man came and demoed the bathroom (the only one in my house), and then didn't come back for 2 weeks. I called and begged and got no response. My whole family was having to go to the bathroom in the back yard like animals and bathe in the kitchen sink. Then, I got a text from Greg. He was "on the way to the tile store" to pick up my order that had been delayed... but it was going to cost more than estimated. If I would just give him the rest of the funds he could guarantee that my bathroom would be done by the end of the week. Maybe it was my desperation, or the fact that I had a newborn baby and a potty training toddler with no bathroom, but stupid me gave him the money. He disappeared for another 2 weeks. Eventually he sent someone to deliver the tile I'd paid for (though not all of it). This person came around the back yard and through my kitchen door without letting me know he was there and scared me to death. He then walked through my house, refusing to talk to me and put down the tile. Yes, turned out he was high, and Greg had knowingly sent him into my home where I was alone with 2 young children. A couple of days of work got done, but then Greg told the subcontractor to go work on someone elses house because he needed the money from that job. After more than a month with no bathroom in my home I called the subcontractor and paid him myself to come finish the job (which was unfortunately done poorly). During that time I got texts from Greg blaming the subcontractor and saying he wasn't available or hadn't gotten a response. Little did he know that the subcontractor was working in my bathroom at that very moment. I've had to pay several hundred more dollars to correct some major problems, and they still aren't all done. Greg lies with the ease of a practiced pro. When we got an attorney to try to sort all this out there was a background check performed. Turns out he served prison time not long ago for taking people's money and running off with it, leaving only gaping holes in their homes. Avoid this guy. He's not just dishonest. It goes way beyond that. He is actively searching for a way to make off with as much of your money as possible, and seeing a family suffer stirs absolutely no remorse in him. I don't know if it is more sad or disgusting that he calls his business "Crossway" and says he runs a "Christian" company. Shameful.
