AFFORDABLE SPAS

A total disaster with Lonnie the owner lying about literally everything. Sold us a defective spa with a 90 warranty in writing. Did nothing to fix it and we spent as much to fix it as we paid Affordable.

The hot tub was delivered on 11/20/07 late in the evening. The spa could not be hooked up to power that evening but the owner, Lonnie Derrig repeatedly assured us that the spa had been rebuilt. Corner of spa was damaged during installation and the cover was used and worn. Lonnie assured us that the corner would be repaired and a new cover delivered. Upon hook up it was discovered both the heater and circulation pump did not work. Lonnie blamed the electrician despite the fact that we had confirmed it had been done correctly with the manufacturer. He then was totally unresponsive to a dozen emails and as many phone calls. On 12/5/07 we purchased a new heater and pump and still gave Affordable a chance to install the new parts and reimburse us. While on Christmas vacation someone from Affordable visited our home, installed an incorrect breaker in our electrical panel, left a new cover (that doesn't fit) and left us a non-working spa. We hired another company to install the parts. Since that time this owner has filed for bankruptcy.

We were really impressed by the nature of how well they treated and responded to us. They were very careful with our spa while moving it. They were able to accommodate us with precise timing with our needs. It was cheap and they did exactly what we asked and needed. They had a good group of employees we dealt with and turned out exactly as we wanted.
