+ 1 moreI think I wrote everything I needed to say in the box above. Give them a call. I need to use Angie's Deals, looking for those special prices. I always shop for the deals.
Description of Work: They came over when we set up the visit, so he could see the extent of the jobs I wanted done. After deciding some of it was going to be too involved to fit in the parameters of the deal I bought, we talked about the things I COULD get done. He had a young man with him, Ryan, who was going to be doing the work the next day. They left to buy materials, and came back shortly afterward. Ryan painted the boards with primer, and we talked more about the things I was in need of doing. Ryan arrived right when he said he would. He got busy replacing the damaged wood. When he was finished replacing everything, he asked me to walk around with him to see everything he had done. He was proud of his work, and he did a great job. He cleaned up everything before he left, and left his name and number in case I needed any tree work done. The owner was on top of making sure I knew they would handle just about any home repair/remodel job. He was proud of his connection to Angie's list, and made sure I knew he had great reviews. I would agree. Minor schedule changes, but always notified me. I would definitely call again. And likely will. I have a few more jobs that need to be done, like painting the exterior of the house. I will absolutely get a bid from them.

+ 6 moreThe project went very well. John is now my go-to for any type of home repair. He is professional, fair, competitive, punctual, and reliable. He was able to get to my work quickly and perform the work in a timely manner. He even rescued me in a pinch on a different day when a water heater went out. He went to home depot for me, purchased the water heater, installed it in the duplex and emailed me the receipts. I don't know of anyone else who could have done this for me so responsively and for a fair price. I appreciate that John has never tried to inch up pricing on me or gauge me in a moment of desperation. John's crew spans everything home improvement related-- construction, plumbing, light electrical. If he can't do something (like replace my garage door) he has a network of professionals just as ethical and competitively priced as himself he can refer you to. John and his crew are truly fantastic. If there was any constructive criticism I could give, it would be to have him, at end of project, create a list of noticed potential improvements he could come back and do at a later time. I created that list myself and am having his team back to do the work.
Description of Work: John and his crew tackled a diverse list of projects for me at a duplex investment property I own: installed new basement flooring, replaced an old lighting fixture, fabricated a drawer face, patched some dry wall, painted interior walls, primed and painted kitchen cabinets, fixed a diverter in a bathroom, painted an exterior door, replaced a water heater, unclogged a sink, installed a washer/dryer.

+ 0 moreIn a word...WOW. First of all, I got lucky that John was available with almost no notice. I just bought a new house and need all sorts of things done. There wasn't one thing that these guys couldn't handle. In four hours, they hung 10 blinds, 2 sets of shelves, 2 track systems and mounted two flat screen tv's. And everything was done with care and precision. They even brought their own vacuum and cleaned up! John is fair and honest, and he and his team do quality work. The reasonable price was an added (and appreciated) bonus. I am hiring him again in 2 weeks for more projects. I highly recommend Improving Houses 4 You!

+ 2 moreWe really need new windows, but Improving Homes 4 You, gave us more time to save the money for windows by replacing all of the wood rot on 8 large windows. They easily went over the four hours (2 hours per person) that I had pre-paid for, but that is understandable because they had so much work to do! I will post before and after pictures to see the great work they did. They chipped out the rotted wood, replaced it with new wood, and painted it with high-quality Behr pain. I had to pay for the materials, but that's fine as I was expecting to. Overall, they are trustworthy, nice and hard-working. Recommended!

+ 6 moreJohn and Nathan, (John is the owner) did a great job for us. One of my big peeves with contractors are those who do not communicate (i.e. not show for appt and do not call). John is exactly the opposite. Communication is EXCELLENT. They are not the cheapest, HOWEVER, their work is first rate and thorough. Also, they back up their work fully and any issues we had were corrected immediately and without question. We liked them so much, they are coming out in a few weeks to do exterior repairs and paint the house. We recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Remodel Bathroom to include, install of tiled shower, move and install new plumbing, vanity, in wall medicine cabinets, lighting, floor. Enclose a dead space we had to make an additional room (put up two walls, electrical, & HIVAC). Installed attic access door/ladder and put plywood down in "new" attic with overhead lighting.

+ -1 moreNot very well.Used the attached bathroom to clean his brushes and broke the sink stopper. This was a coupon type of deal and he asked me for extra payment because he went over 8 hours. Lots of spots needed touch up but I did it myself because I didn't want to pay any more.

+ -1 moreI had a bad experience with them. The work they did was horrible. They did not put the inside of the roof. They suck. They works left the job and I have not heard from them in two days. I am very dissatisfied. They left the job unfinished.

In fact, Nason puts a new faucet for me and he even put everything back in under the sink that I keep under my sink. They are very clean, neat, attention to detail which frankly is not remotely common anymore, and very industrious.
Description of Work: I used the Big Deal coupon of Improving Homes 4 You. I actually bought 2 of those Big Deals and in addition to doing painting; I decided to have them come back again. I had some extra work done. They did painting, plumbing, siding works and changing doorknobs.
