I can highly recommend Colten and his team at Goodtimes Backyard Construction. He gave a detailed estimate for services, quick to communicate, on time, and completed the work as scheduled. His team extended our deck and added a slab for our future hot tub. I had (4) estimates for the same work, he was within the price range of one of the other (3). The others were clearly into sales and tried to upsell me on my design and features. We knew what we wanted and he delivered. His team was respectful of my property and did a good clean-up job after the project was finished.

The Goodtimes Backyard Construction team expertly worked to meet and exceed our expectations for our deck rebuild and reconfiguration. They did an outstanding job, sometimes under harsh conditions with extremely cold weather. Colten kept us informed and up to date on the work progress. Everyone on the crew, was polite, respectful and very hardworking. I have already recommended them to several friends, and plan to use them again in the near future for another project.

Couldn’t be happier with Colten and his team! They built three decks for me all of which turned out amazing! I met with several contractors before settling on Colten and definitely made the right choice. They were on time, communicative, patient, and on budget. When my selections did change the budget, they were very straightforward about it and discussed options with me before just moving forward with an increase budget.

Colten and his team were terrific. Not only did they come in with a much lower cost estimate than other contractors, they were able to incorporate higher-end finishes into the design. Things like a custom built cable-railing, lights in the staircases and even a custom dog ramp. On top of everything else, they're super nice and easy to work with. When part of our decking came in with discoloration, Colten was able to remove the affected boards and swap them out quickly and without any additional cost. Highly recommended for all of your deck needs!

Colton came out and listened to how I wanted to use the space. His recommendation was perfect and I love that the roof has uv protection. His crew was fast and very professional- I have a dog and was worried about nails in the yard, but they cleaned up very well afterwards and it looks amazing. It’s hard to find a contractor that is punctual and communicative, and I can’t emphasize enough how easy it was to work with them. They installed a fan and an extra outdoor outlet to charge my laptop etc. so I can work outside. Thanks again!

Colten at Goodtimesbackyard construction worked me through the difficult and time consuming process of getting a building permit from the City of Lakeway and then proceeded to build me a gorgeous and very safe deck that is the envy of my neighbors. In fact everyone wanted Colten's contact info and I think he will make them as happy as he did me when he replaces their aging decks. I will definitely hire him again for future remodeling projects or fencing needs. Matt Holden

I’m not one to typically write reviews/recommendations, but my experience with Goodtimes Backyard Construction was too good to keep to myself. Colten and his Goodtimes crew provide quality service and quality work, all at a reasonable price. Not to mention these guys can literally build anything. Looking for a treehouse? Skate ramp? Deck? These guys are down for any and all backyard projects. Highly recommend if you’re looking to spruce up your outdoor space. Can’t sing their praises enough 🙌
