+ 4 moreWe are ecstatic with the results. Brian is creative but listens to where you are heading and what you like. Often landscapers do their thing using their favorites but don’t think outside the box. He and his guys are hard workers who want to get it right and did. Since we are out in the garden a lot, things like side paths are important to me and theY are now a delight to look at and use. They are good at balancing plantings that make large areas work together and still hold your interest. My husband had a request to find a way to store and hide our numerous trash cans in the middle of things and they pulled it off in a surprisingly attractive way. I am looking forward to tweaking another area for spring and know ideas are already percolating in Bryan’s head.
Description of Work: In 2 stages, we needed years of overgrowth to be cleared and reinstalled.i wanted to make use of long planted specimens, revamp paths and river beds, and bring in new plants and fresh ideas. I wanted to make sure that attention was paid to environmental issues like planting for the correct amount of sun, adding soil and mulch in the process. I also must note that though I still love gardening and in past years my husband and I were sole caretakers, weeders, and designers. But managing a big property has gotten beyond us. So special care had to be taken that mostly perennials were the backbone but it still needed color and seasonal interest.

+ 1 moreI was previously a customer several years ago and left because they were not paying attention to my yard and it was not well maintained. I returned a few years later because they hired a highly rated landscaper and I requested her. She does a good job, but the services are overpriced and once again the yard was not being maintained. When you complain or question anything, such as prices, the owner sends rude emails in response.

Description of Work: Yes, we spent a lot but this was our second go at making our yard look wonderful. Last time we spent 5k on a second-rate company and only 2 years later it was all for naught. We went with Ron on a referral from another company and in spite of the cost, this was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Why? Service, service service. The owner, Ron and his staff are some of the best in the business I assure you. One of his team leaders has been with him for 15 years and that told us something. Everything was perfect or made perfect before we ever paid the balance. Ron does QC several times and ALWAYS returns calls and listens to the customer...a definite anomaly in that business. Want it done right? Hire this company.

Description of Work: April 15, 2014 I paid Thompson Landscaping $500.00 for design and estimate. I was told it would be ready one month to six weeks. I reminded Thompson Landscaping on August 12, 2014 about our agreement. Two days later I received the design and estimate. It came in at a very hight cost. They must not have been interested, because I never got a followup call. I know these people do good work, but I think I am "small potatoes" for this company. This is why I gave them a negative review.

He has an eye for determining what looks the best with our home and also considered the fact that we have deer and put deer resistent plants in our yard. They are a little more expensive, but they don't just add any type of plant. They use plants that need to be in that area.
Description of Work: They did all of our landscaping and did the maintenance there after.

+ -1 moreThey do a alright job, however the prices are not reasonable. There seems to be hidden charges that arise. The work is hit or miss. The bill would not always come in on time. We would get the bill for April in June. They seemed very high priced.
