I had planned to replace with a name brand but they recommend an alternative that provided considerable savings and equal or better quality. All personnel from the office staff to install personnel were friendly and knowledgable.

I used them last year in the fall. They did a very good job, and they got it all done within a day. They were on time, very clean, very professional, very friendly, and they worked late into the day to get it done, instead of waiting for the next day.

They did in less than 5 minutes. Could have tried to sell me a new unit but concentrated on fixing the current unit. Called twice to keep me informed of arrival time. I've got a plumber now!

Job was completed quickly and with no mess and after 6 months everything is working very well.

They did not charge me for that discovery since they happened to already be in the area when I called.

Went ok, but came from a little bit of a distance and i think they were disappointed that it wasn't a big job. They told me that the main parts of the toilet needed fixed. i let them do it becuase i felt that they travled a long distance just to fix such a minor thing. They charged me way more than i thought and still have issues with a running toilet.

From start to finish everything went perfectly. Jim and Michael were able to completely replace all of the galvanized pipe in my home with a minimal of holes cut in the walls. Even when two unexpected issues came up, Jim was able to quickly resolve them. I highly recommend Red Lion Plumbing!!!

After years of leaks and rusty water, it was time for a whole house repipe. Jim and Mike arrived on time every day. They were considerate of where and how much Sheetrock they cut. It was a big job, and they worked diligently every day. They cleaned up each day. The owner Jim is a man of his word. He thought he'd have to move one of the toilets & offered to put a new one in (I would purchase toilet). The next day he realized they would not have to move the toilet, but since he promised a new one, the new toilet was installed. Jim & Mike even finished a day early! Per our request they replaced all the faucets. I highly recommend Red Lion Plumbing.

We decided to replace all of the 62 year old steel pipes before they started to leak. Jim and Mike arrived on time the first day, prepared all of the PEX pipes so the next day they could remove the old connections to the in wall pipes and connect up the new PEX, he did this to keep from having to leave us without water for the night. That was very thoughtful!. The next day they both came back and completed the repiping job. Jim even noticed that some of our piping had already been upgraded to copper so he saw no reason to replace these pipes and gave us a discount from their original quote, how about that for honesty!. The work took the two about 9-10 total hours to complete.

Replaced two water heaters last year. They were prompt, courteous, and went above and beyond.

When I called Red Lion I spoke to Charlotte--one of the owners--who was very informative and helpful. I made an appointment for Jim--also an owner--to come out and determine what needed to be done in connection with replacing our old water heater. Jim accommodated a change in my schedule and came out to give a free estimate. He offered to replace our old Rheem water heater with another Rheem water heater at a reasonable price and on the same day. Jim and his assistant had the old water heater removed and the new one installed within just a few hours! Abruptly felt the need to replace a water heater (as it looked like a river was exiting my garage the night of the 23rd) and after leaving messages with some Angie's list providers, Red Lion called back first and came out first thing on the 24th. The heater they brought out to replace was a Rheem and I was assured it would not fail like the 8.5 year old bradford white I was having to replace. They were also very patient with me since I wanted to check the warranty on the old heater (it had an 8 year warranty) and actually see that it was not repairable (involved prying off sheet metal). There was a hicccup with the new heater but they were extremely prompt and had it fixed almost as soon as I told them of the problem. After all this was done another provider returned my call and I was able to get their rate for doing the same work. Red Lion was a bit more expensive but seeing as they were prompt and got the problem fixed quicker than the others could I'm happy to pay it. All in all a great family business and I'll be using them for any other plumbing work.

The two gentlemen were polite, punctual and efficient but I was overcharged. The job took 45 minutes, the materials consisted of an 8 inch piece of pvc pipe, two couplings and glue...total cost would be less than $5.00. The job took 45 minutes and the bill was $225.00 which means I was charged $293.00 per hour. I noticed another Angie's list member was recently charged $225.00 for TWO hours of work. (This was not an emergency, the appointment was scheduled the week before, and the company resides 2.5 miles from my home, so no cross-town traveling involved.)

They were out here the next day and in a couple of hours the leak was fixed. The leak was on the opposite side where the attic stairs come up and the repair man had to climb over a lot of duct work to get to the leak. The explained the leak had been improperly repaired but was in good shape now.

I don't like water heaters in the attic so on Tuesday, 11/19/2013, I called Red Lion Plumbing to get an estimate on (1) a tankless heater or (2) moving my in-attic water heater to the garage. Charlotte arranged for Jim and his son(this is a family-owned business and that's a plus for me) to give me an estimate that afternoon (surprised it was so quick)! They looked over the situation and were quite honest in telling me that (1) a tankless required much maintenance [that eliminated a tankless for me], and (2) moving a water heater to the garage would be a $$$ nightmare for me - they would do whatever I wanted but suggested I replace my old water heater and have them put a device on it that warns of a leakage and stops water from continuing to flow into the heater should a leak occur. I appreciated the honesty and quick response to my inquiry. I contracted (verbally) with them to install a new water heater in my attic with the leak-stop device and was surprised that they would be able to install it the next morning. They arrived on time and were quick and professional.......I will definitely call them again if I have a need for a plumbing contractor. Thanks, Angie's List, for Red Lion Plumbing!

They came out the same day I called, so I didn't have to wait. They were very professional, personable, and tidy. I liked that they were a father and son team.

They were very understanding. Even though they were all out on a big job across town, they sent someone by that day to help.

We discovered a water leak coming through the ceiling in one of our bathrooms at 1:30AM on Monday, September 23, 2013. I went up into the attic and discovered that there was a leak in the galvanized water pipe that was directly over the bathroom. I went outside and shut the water main off so that I could clamp the pipe until I could call someone out to replace it. Once I had the pipe clamped and the water leak secured, I went outside to turn the water main valve on to the house but the handle broke. It was dark but with the aid of a flashlight I found a tool that allowed me to attach the tool to the broken valve and I was able to get it turned on. I called Red Lion Plumbing at 9:00AM and spoke with Charlotte and explained what my issue was. She was extremely nice and very concerned about the issue that I had. She told me she was going to call her husband Jim to see what their schedule looked like and that she would call me right back. I received a call back five minutes later letting me know that Jim and her son Mike would be out before noon. They actually arrived round 10:30AM. When they arrived I explained what the issues were and they went right to work on it. It took them approximately an hour and fifteen minutes to replace twenty feet of water pipe and to make my outside water main functional again. These are the nicest and most caring people that you will ever want to meet. Their promptness and caring is outstanding and their rates are extremely reasonable. I will only call Red Lion Plumbing when I need any type of plumbing work done at my home. They treat you like you are a member of their family.

I called today Nov 7th and spoke with Jim's wife. I gave her the details of my problem that something on the control panel of my hot water heater had melted. She was very concerned and they moved appointments around to fit me in the same day. Jim came out and assessed the damage from the melting panel. He made a trip to Lowes to see if he could get some new parts. The parts were not the right ones but that is all that Lowes had. He told me to contact Sears to get them to come out and fix it since they would have the parts. He was very honest, professional and he did not charge me for coming out. I was very appreciative of this as most people would not do that. I will definitely be contacting them for any other plumbing needs.

I would definitely recommend Red Lion to anyone in need of pluming services (I have already). I'm new to AL and have never (ever) written a review (for anything), but these guys were so professional.. I wanted to. They showed up exactly when they said they would, went the extra mile (fixed a few things we did not notice--no charge) and everything worked great when they left. Super nice people as well.

I picked this company because of the good reviews shown on Angie's list (and I was not disappointed that I did). I called when they first opened and explained that I had multiple toilets that were not working and that I also had smelly water backing up into the tub. I was told they could come out today around lunch. I was notified when they were about 20 minutes from my house and they arrived on time. After familiarizing themselves with the problem, they very quickly and efficiently took care of the situation. They were both very professional and pleasant to deal with. I will highly recommend them to everyone that I know and will definitely use them again in the future for all my plumbing needs.

Very professional, honest, down to earth, and reasonably priced

After joining Angie's list to find a plumber, we went with Red Lion after reading all the positive reviews. We know the usual process is to get several estimates, but after talking with Jim and Michael, we were confident this was the company to handle the job. This was a difficult repipe of all the old galvanized, leaky pipes in the entire house. They cut as little drywall as possible and always cleaned up. We were only without water a little over a day, and they finished the entire job a day early. New pipes, new water heater, and new outside faucets give us peace of mind. You get what you pay for and we got straight talk, hard work, and professional results.

We bought a special offered by Red Lion Plumbing. They came out, were very friendly and professional, and provided exactly what we paid for: an inspection of our plumbing and water heater. The gentleman was honest, said the plumbing looked great, and even cleaned out the grit in one of our faucets without being asked to. We hghly recommend their services.
