Red Lion Plumbing

I contacted several plumbers who are listed on Angie's List. Most would not give me an estimate over the phone, even for such an easy job as replacing 2 toilets, without charging me $50 to come out and give me an estimate in person. Not only did Red Lion give me the best overal price, but the toilets were better than the ones quoted from other plumbers. It is a family run company and very professional.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Family owned and operated. The office staff is extremely professional.

Jim and Mike arrived to look at water heater. It was determined that the tank was rusty on the top and bottom. I went up in the attic to look at it. There was a little water in the pan. It made no sense to repair the water heater really when the whole unit was on it's last legs.So they left to get a new Rheem after telling me the cost. They are in a marked truck and where a uniform. They returned in about a half hour and covered my new wood floor.They took out the old one and installed the new Rheem. They also checked my other water heater and told me it had already been replaced.(We have only lived here 1 1/2 years. almost 8 year old house). They also looked at two toilets that the builder installed improberly. Mike has already called with the price of new tanks. And Jim is going to call with a price of two new ones. You don't often find people today that are honest, hard working, easy to deal with and helpful. I have been an Angie's list member for several years. I am so glad I found Red Lion. None of my new neighbors or other friends had a reference of a plumber in the Magnolia area. I didn't want to call someone in say Pearland to come look at my water heater. Nice work Jim and Mike.

I called Red Lion Plumbing telling Ms. Charlotte what our issues were and asked if there was a trip charge involved. She was very patient with my questions and offered to quote the water heater replacement immediately. Unfortunately without them being able to see the shower problem they were not able to quote, but she said that if they did the job, the trip charge would be waived. They arrived and went right to the problem, indicating EXACTLY what the problem was with the shower.They checked the area where our old water heater was located and told us that they could have it all done the same day. They also removed the old waterheater! The only issue was that my husband had to leave to go to work and no one was available to be there to let them finish the job. They offered to come back when someone was available and for us it was later in the afternoon. Our schedule was accommodated and we are very grateful for that. Red Lion is our new plumbing company, I will be passing out all those business cards and telling all about our FANTASTIC experience with Red Lion. Thanks again Red Lion Plumbing!

I am new to Angie's List and jointed because I was tired of using one of the large "do everything" home service companies. I did not like the fact that a different person came each time I needed a service, because the one I asked for no longer worked there. I had several experiences with techs who could not fix the problem and were more interested in selling something new. I had several plumbing projects that I had saved up, avoiding calling the "do everything" company. I was moved to action by a water leak coming through the light fixture in the utility room. I found the leak to be due to a clogged line handling the water coming from the evaporator coils on two A/C units. The A/C units were installed by the "do everything" company and they just used the old poorly designed drains that were already in the house and did not recommend any changes. The "do everything" company is not rated well on Angie's list. I searched Angie's list and found Red Lion with a good number of reviews, most of which were A. They are also located near my home and are family owned. I was looking for someone to establish a long term relationship with, who I would know each time they come to my home. I called the company today and the owner, Jim, was able to change his schedule to come to my home quickly because of the leak. Jim and Mike were on time. They took the time to review each for the projects I had been deferring as well as the leak. They changed the piping from the A/C units and closed the system as it should have been. They addressed all the deferred projects except a unique outside faucet that would require some exensive "digging" in the wall. Jim explained what needed to be done to actually make the faucet useable. Since we are planning a remodel in the future, he suggested it would be easier to handle then. I appreciated the fact that he provided options and took the time to understand what we planned for the house. I also discussed some water treatment options with Jim. He gave me some background on options they provide and where I could go to learn more before buying anything. I appreciated the information that was not accompanied by a hard sell, like I received from the "do everything" company. I will highly recommend Red Lion to those who do not have access to Angie's List and hope this recommendation provides useful information to Angie's List members. Red Lion is just what I was looking for to replace the "do everything" company.

Red Lion Plumbing was able to come out the same week that I called. They did a great job repairing what the previous homeowner had done as a cheap way to connect the mop sink to the water source and to the interior drain pipe. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing needs.

We had a water leak above our master bathroom; discovered about 10:30p. Found Red Lion on Angies List that night and called them in the am. They said they could get there later that morning which they did. This was an especially difficult leak to find up in the attic under the boards. They fixed the issue quickly and professionally and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to deal with.

What a great experience! Called them at 1030 AM and they were here at noon to fix my plumbing issues. They were professional, on time, and I feel as though I received good value for what I spent. I will call them in the future if I have any plumbing issues. I highly recommend them!!

We had an emergency leak under our bathroom sink and our normal plumbers doesn't do Saturday anymore. I called Red Lion and Jim Moncrief came out within an hour. He was knowledgeable and professional. He repaired the leak efficiently, explaining what he had done. His fee was reasonable for Sat/ after hours. I would definitely use Red Lion again.

Discovered the leak around 2 am when water started dripping from the smoke detector in the downstairs bedroom. Emailed Red Lion at 3am and I got a call from Charlotte at approx. 6am as I had put in the email that was a good time to reach me. I discussed the problem and my concerns and asked her some questions and we decided to set an appointment for the following day to get the Water Heater replaced. I was given an estimate and that price did not change. They arrived a little early, inspected the unit to be replaced and set about getting it done. They were professional from start to finish and extremely respectful and polite. Super knowledgeable about their job. I am completely satisfied with Red Lion, I just wish there was a grade higher than A as they deserve to be A+ and 5 Stars for Service. Thanks again for doing such a great job. Special Note: This water heater was installed in my attic in a very hard to reach place, it was not easy to access that side of my attic and yet there was not a single grumble or complaint, just a super attitude and a get it done work ethic even though this was not an easy install. Thanks again guys!

They were extremely professional and honest, and finished ahead of schedule. They also did all they could to minimize the amount of time when we did not have water. Overall they did a great job

I had a nice chat with Charlotte and arranged the date for the plumber to come out. Charlotte said it was hard to give an estimate over the phone but she had heard enough and seemed to think the job would cost about $185. That was competitive to other similar plumbing jobs. (I think plumbers are expensive anyway!!). The gentle men arrived early and were finished in about 15 minutes and it was less than the estimate. Not a problem since. Very friendly and I did not feel bad paying that much for 15 minutes of work because I know it would have cost more if my husband had tried to fix it. I would use this company again.

They are very experienced. They were extremely careful about keeping the house clean. I don't remember they covered their shoes or took them off or something like that, but any tools they brought in and they wanted to know the nearest entrance and were very careful with the house, which is to me total professionalism. They went up and they totally inspected everything in the attic and the leak was under the heating unit so they had to really get in there and work. It was a water leak just condensation of the AC has overflowed the pan. But, when I looked at the pan it was dry so they said it had happened before. I would use them again.

Red Lion Plumbing is delightful to work with. We had a water heater that was having issues, and I called on a Monday morning. They had a cancellation and were able to come early Monday afternoon. From the beginning they were up front and completely honest with me in their assessment of the scope and depth of the problem as well as my choices moving forward. As it turned out, we chose to replace our water heater. They were professional, timely and conscientious. I am thrilled with my experience with this company and have their phone number listed where I can find it quickly! A GREAT company with GREAT employees!

We are very pleased with them. They are very friendly and responsive. They drove a hundred miles to get here the same day. They did not take their lunch breaks and they finished everything in one day. They cleaned up well after their work. They also set up drop cloths to keep our house clean. They did not charge me on an hourly basis but they gave me a good price for the whole project.

Sorry for my delay in posting to Angies List. I was impressed by the professionalism. I had 2 other quotes done by different companies before I had any work done for repiping my 1975 home from galvanized which I was told what I had. The first quote was for repiping the entire home to copper (they didn't notice that I had any copper tubing). The second was for repiping just the downs from galvanized to copper (this particular company told me that I had copper in the attic already). Then the third quote was from Red Lion... they came out and inspected my plumbing and I was told that I had copper in the attic as well as the downs. And the ONLY thing that was galvanized was the nipples coming out of the wall. I truly appreciated the truthfulness by this company. And they ended up doing work for me that I probably wouldn't have done at this time. But I would definately use them again in a heart beat.

We needed to repipe our entire house due to old galvonized pipes and many leaks constantly occuring. Red Lion made an appointment with us to estimate costs. They were on time,actually a little early. They quoted us a very fair price. When they came to do the work they were also early and extremely professional. They didn't take advantage of us like so many others have. They did exactly what they said they would and were very honest with us. They also did excellent work. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. We've never had such a pleasant experience with a plumber. I highly recommend this company if you value great costs, professional service, and someone who actually shows up at the time they promised.

Had outdoor faucet which was broken and water had been running all night. Called them around 9am and they were there within 20 minutes. The two gentlemen were very friendly and helpful. The job was done quickly and well. The job was completed by 10 am. They also gave a suggestion of a good handyman. Charlotte, one of the co-owners of the business was very friendly and helpful as well.

I truly wish there was a way to give an A+++++ These folks certainly deserve it. This was an amazing experience in every way and these folks have our business from now on. I can't say enough good things about them. We had awoken earlier in the week to no hot water. I contacted our home warranty company and they sent a contract firm out that afternoon to assess our problem. They determined that we needed a new water heater and set an appointment for Friday afternoon to replace the old heater. They also requested payment for the $500 out of pocket expense that they estimated we would incur, Should have been a red flag. My husband took off work on Friday to be at home when they came to do the work. On Friday morning the company called and indicated that the installer had had a family emergency and wouldn't be able to be at our home until Monday or Tuesday. While I'm certainly sympathetic to the tech and hope all is well with his Mom; one installer for the entire Houston area - REALLY? Cold showers really suck. I got on Angie's list and found Red Lion and called them and explained the situation. This was mid-morning on Friday. I spoke with Charlotte and explained our problem. We spoke for a few minutes and came to an agreement for service and she asked me when would be convenient for us. I half-jokingly said "now" certainly not expecting that they could be here until at least Saturday. Charlotte's response was "let me see what I can re-arrange". They we at our home and had the job completed in less than 3 hours! No muss, no fuss, just exceptional service. They even moved some pictures from our hallway to assure that they wouldn't be damaged removing the old unit. And we had hot water by the time I got home from work, Jim and Charlotte, thank you so much. You've reminded me that the concept of customer service isn't dead. You just have to know where to look.

Called for an estimate and spoke to the owner. She was very helpful and made the decision easier.

We were very happy to do business with a local, family owned and operated company. Red Lion Plumbing is a father and son team. They arrived promptly. When we made the appointment the day before they collected all the information to be sure they arrived with what they needed. They took great care to avoid making any mess in the house. They drained the old water heater, brought it down from the attic, replaced parts that were corroded, and installed the new one. They did this quickly and efficiently. The price was what was quoted. They also cleaned out clogs in two different bathrooms, which involved getting up on our very steep roof. Except for the fact that our sinks now drain and that we have a new water heater, you would never know they had been here. They were so careful and respectful. Such nice people!

Response times and service were quick and professional. My problem was assessed and the water heater was replaced on the day my emergency call was made. Communication was great.

I was very pleased with the quality and manner of their work.
