Red Lion Plumbing

These guys are great to work with. They installed a Rheem water heater. I was hoping for an upgraded version. Went with the Pro model for an extra $200. They also installed a water softener and air filter that I had purchased at home depot. The seated a toilet that needed shams and new wax ring. All seems happy again at our house. I'll update later if things don't work out. (PS, the GE whole house filter that I purchased from home depot doesn't seem to work. It apparently has a check valve inside that is reducing the waterflow to a drizzle. For now I have it set to bypass until I can troubleshoot. I will probably have to replace with another brand. No fault of Red Lion. But I would steer clear of the GE filter. Others have similar complaints on web. Oh well, I was in a hurry.)

Called 8:00am Saturday morning for clogged drain emergency. Repairmen responded promptly & arrived by 10:00am to clean drain. Cost was a little high but reasonable considering it was weekend and an emergency. Also suggested ways my handy-man husband could handle another small plumbing remodel issue by himself in order to save money. I will definitely call Red Lion Plumbing the next time we need a plumber!

Very well. They were very polite and courteous. They left no mess. They worked together very well. It is a father and son. I would recommend them highly.

When I first called, they let me know that they didn't support or repair a whole house water filter, but she gave me the name to contact at a plumbing supply house that might could help. When I couldn't get replacement parts, we decided to remove the filter (this was the next day, and when I called back, she was very up front in letting me know that they would most likely not be able to make it out there that day, and since our water was off, we should probably try somewhere else, but if we didn't find someone to let her know and they may be able to make it late in the day. I appreciated the honesty much more than them not being able to make it, or getting out here at 10 pm! Thank you!

On time, pleasant, professional. Reasonable amount of time for scope of work. Left no dirt or mess. Hauled off old water heaters and debris.

They didn't disappoint me. I expected quite a bit from them because I did find them on Angie's List. They were prompt and professional. The original bid came in pretty much exactly when the other bid came in. Given as they're coming at the same money as the other bid that I got, I would go with Red Lion Plumbing. They were more communicative. They called me and followed up to confirm our appointment. They followed up with me after the visit and I like that. Both were excellent but if I have to choose one I will choose Red Lion Plumbing.

Arrived promptly and on schedule. Took less than an hour to clear tree roots in main sewer line. Only complaint is cost is a little high for 45 minutes of work.

I called Red Lion Plumbing and spoke with Charlotte Moncrief. I told her that I found her company on Angie's list and that I decided to call her company because their reviews looked good. I explained that I had a pipe in the attic that had leaked several times and has many clamps on it and wanted an estimate to replace it. She was very appreciative that I called and she went into detail about how the job would be done and suggested that the pipe be replaced. I definitely agreed with her and set up an appointment for an estimate. Charlotte was very friendly and helpful and she thanked me for calling and said that I would get a call from her husband Jim before he came out. I did get a call on the day of service to let me know he was on his way. Jim and his son Mike showed up and were in professional attire and were very friendly. They went up into the attic and viewed the troublesome pipe and came back down and gave me an price of $780.00 to replace it. I told them to go ahead and replace the pipe. It took them approximately an hour and a half to complete the job. They were fast and efficient. I thanked them for the job done and they left. That evening I noticed a new small water stain spot on the ceiling and went into the attic and there was a joint that had a small water leak. I called Jim back that night thinking that I was going to get an answering machine to leave a message but his wife Charlotte answered. I apologized for calling so late but she stated that it was quite alright. I spoke with Jim and explained what was happening and he offered to come out that night. I told him that it was not an emergency and coming out the next day would be fine. Jim and Mike showed up promptly at 8:00AM the next morning and went up into the attic again and determined that the issue was a leaky joint that was not replaced with the pipe replacement from the day before. He said he was thinking of replacing that joint but thought it would be ok not to do so. He gave me a price of $80.00 to replace the joint and along with that another section of old pipe that would also have to be replaced. I told him to go ahead and proceed with the job. This job only took around 20 minutes to complete and that solved the problem. Jim and Mike were very personable and also discussed with us the replacing of other old pipes that we have in the house. I would have no problem using this company again in the future for my plumbing needs. They are honest and give you the best option for your situation.

They were good. he was honest. He didn't rip me off. His prices were fine. He came on time, in fact he came before time. He's a nice chap.

I called the office from the ad in the Angies List magazine. I need work done on my water heater at my company. The water heater has a mixing valve on the out going water. This was not working. The lady that answered the phone told me it was a "tcp' valve and that it would be $200 to replace it. She told me there were workmen in the area and they could come right out. I told her I was on my way to the location, about 29-30 minutes away and if the repair men got there before me they could look at the water heater. I drove up and the 2 men were wallking out of my building to their van. They had cut off the wrong valve - not the mixing valve- and had already put the new one on. Problem was there was nothing wrong with the pressure release valve they took off. They did not even try to see if it was working - which would be as simple as lifting the top and making sure it moved. I had to pay the $200 for their dumb mistake. I will never use them or recommend they to anyone. Lori

I called them around 8:30 AM and told them that I had turned the water off due to a possible plumbing leak. Since it is a newer (3 years old) house, there was a doubt if this was a plumbing leak. They came by at 10:30 and moved around other appointments to get to me earlier. FIxed the issue in 30 minutes and were out the door.

I had ordered a new faucet from Red Lion. When they arrived to install it the insides of the sprayer could not be removed to place my water purifier attachment to the faucet. They then fixed my faucet and was going to return the faucet I had ordered. Great company. They will be the company I call when need a plumber!

I was familiar with this company from an earlier plumbing experience. That time, I called based on Angie's List but they could not make it out quickly enough to help me out and suggested I try another company. Although I did not use them then, it was a positive experience. I called another plumber on Angie's List, and it was a positive experience and we rated them accordingly. Having a "non-urgent" job this time I called both Red Lion and the prior plumber to understand our options and get bids. Charlotte was upfront in saying that they were not comfortable trying to flush 10 year old water heaters that had not been flushed in at least 4 years andtheir experience suggested replacement, though costly, was the best option. Standing in the attic looking at the 10 year old units, I felt her point was valid and thought replacing them both now rather than replacing them after they leaked was our best course. Speaking with the other provider, the decision to replace was confirmed. This time, Red Lion had the flexibility for our schedule, so we went with them. Mike and JIm were 20 minutes ahead of schedule and got the job done in about two hours. Although one of our units drained completely and likely had some life left in it, the other had sediment preventing it from draining completely and confirmed the decision to replace them. The job was done quickly and efficiently. I would gladly recommend them to any friend or neighbor.

Team arrived on time and removed old tank and installed new tank within two hours of arrival. No problems. Mike and Dad are nice guys and answered all my questions. New tank is functioning as described. Very satisfied with Red Lion Plumbing.

Come home from work today Friday at noon, I see water coming out the water heater.. its almost 15 yrs old. im sure its corroded on the bottom and needs to be replaced. I called someone else and there was no answer, Red Lion was next, they answer, I tell her my situation. Expecting to hear we can fit you in Monday or there is a emergency fee of blablabla, she said let me see where they are and ill call you back, She did about 5 min later and said they could be here at 2pm... I said sure a warm shower sounds good tonight . I cleaned out the area by the tank and was ready for them, 2 guys came out and they were from around here, did not need a translator. Ask about price, he gave me an answer right there, they replaced the unit, new pipes got me up to spec on a few outdated pieces and had replaced gas line and valve as well... price stayed the same.. they were done at 2:45. Had hot water soon after. Wrote the review at 3:30.. Now after a good review watch it blow a gasket ;) could not have asked for faster or better service... im sure I could have payed for it at another Place, but I didnt need to. Thanks guys!

I used another company who did the bandaid approach, it didn't work.I called Red Lion, they told me what needed to be done, they made the repairs, guaranteed their work,

Installer was prompt and courteous and checked for leaks during the install--did not leave until everything was working and nothing was leaking. Wouldn't expect anything different, but we've had shockingly sloppy work done by other contractors so was pleased to see Red Lion take some pride in their work.

They installed a Rheem 40 gallon hot water heater with 6yr warranty. They arrived the same day as I called. They tried to repair it first with a new thermocouple which did not work- but at least they tried to repair it. We discovered the water heater was a few years older than my house! We discussed all of our options and they quickly returned with a new heater and did the install in record time. This is a family run business which I appreciate. Very professional and courteous. I discovered this company through Angie's List and am glad that I did. Good old fashion customer service all around. Great job Red Lion!

The 50-year old house had began to spring leaks in water pipes in 2011. Each repair was getting costly and I decided to repipe the entire house. Jim's bid (one of 3) was right in the middle and I decided to give him a try. One of reasons for my decision was because Red Lion is a family owned company and I like to support small businesses. I found over the years that small business owners tend to be more interested in developing a loyal customer base by doing a good job and getting repeat business, whereas employees of big businesses just want to get the job done and move on, since they are generally not incentivized to develop long term customer relationships. Jim and his crew were very courteous, professional, and the work was finished on time. When the job was completed, I asked him to take a look at the master bath's rain shower head which had very low water pressure that merely trickled, rather than rained. Jim ultimately made several trips to identify the problem, which was in the shower controls. He then purchased a replacement element, which turned out to be the wrong type. Because the type of control in my master bath is no longer being manufactured, Jim had a difficult time finding the right replacement part. He finally found one and completed the job without charging me for the cost of the part or his labor. A few months after Jim finished the piping work, my hot water heater began malfunctioning. I wanted to have it fixed but Jim explained that it was better to replace it. He gave me a fair price and was very accommodating to my difficult work schedule, coming to my house late in the evening after I had spent a week without hot water because Jim was unable to come out sooner due to his other commitments. I was very pleased with his work and will not hesitate to use him again in the future.

After waiting for over 8 hours for another major company to come out to fix the pipe the burst in my master bath, I call Red Lion Plumbing. They stated they would be there in 30 minutes. They actually arrived in 20 minutes! They were quick, professional and the price I was quoted was what I was charged.

Called to say they were running a bit late. Finished the work promptly, attended to a couple of other minor jobs without fuss, didn't charge for that. Very friendly and courteous.

Gas water heater stopped working. Flame went out and would not relight. Red Lion came out, replaced a worn part and re-lit the heater.

I called at 8:30 a.m. and was told they were really busy, but she would make a phone call and call me back. I was called back in less than five minutes and told they would squeeze me in and they would be here at 10:00 a.m. Mike and Jim showed up and one worked in the kitchen and the other in the bathroom. They completed their tasks in very short time, cleaned up after themselves and even looked at a broken piece on a faucet outside and told me where to go to look for a replacement. I don't think it even took them 30 minutes to fix my plumbing problems. Great job! On 4/10/11, John Moore Plumbing did the exact same service in my kitchen and charged me $520. And the guy was here 2 1/2 hrs.
