Cost of the roof check was $149, but I paid him an extra $150 to trim some bush and tree branches that were touching the roof as he offered to do so.

Nick and his crew did a nice job for us. After inspection they provided pictures of damaged shingles and made recommendations. A portion of the damage was covered under the credit from the maintenance package which was nice. They replaced shingles, caulked around exposed nail heads, replaced a section of gutters and straightened some gutters that had been damaged by falling limbs. When finished we received pics of the repaired areas. Modern charged a very reasonable price and provided good service. I would use them again!

The provider showed up ontime and went right to work. His work was professional and compleated in a timely fashion.

Everything went fine and Andrew and Carlos did a good job, even cleaning up anything that blew into the yard. I would use their company again.

He was in the neighborhood and stopped by, I hadn't made an appointment. As it turned out, I had an appointment and needed to leave before the inspection was complete, so I really didn't get a summary of the inspection.

Overall a BAD experience I will NOT hire them again. The 1st and 2nd time I got scheduled for service, they did NOT showed up. I had to call back to ask what had happened and ask to be rescheduled. The third time i asked to be rescheduled they said they could not schedule me because they did not receive confirmation from Angie´s list that I had purchase the service. Which is odd as I had received an email from Angie claim department that they have contacted the supplier to clear the issue and to expect a call from them. Any how, they finally figure it out with Angie´s list and schedule me for Today. I work from home so I was expecting all afternoon for the vendor to come. At 6 pm I got a call from the vendor stating they had come to my house and performed the job. I asked them why did they not ring the bell or call ahead to know you were coming? Just responded they thought no one was at home. I asked for some confirmation that he had been here and if he could not provide photos, or a paperwork that they had left by my door or something. I work from home and my office has a window where you can see the down spouts. My home is a one floor so if someone was in my roof I hope I would notice some noise or the machine they use the clean the gutters. None of them I noticed. He told me the gutters were really clean and it only took him 20 min. This even got me more concerned as I myself had put a ladder to see how dirty the gutters were before i contracted the services. To make the story short I just went and put a ladder against the gutters and took some pictures as proof that the gutters are still dirty. Better than before but dirty still. They did come and as proof is that they left al lot of dirt in the patio furniture and they did not pick up on the debries that they blew from the roof. I asked them to come back and finish the job as a professional would do. They schedule me for next Monday. If you are looking for a reliable supplier, and one that you do not have to be behind them this is definitely NOT the one. Go on to another vendor. At the end, I hope to have the job done well but it took 3 calls to Angie,´s list claim department and 10 calls to the vendor.

Outstanding and thorough roof inspection. Contractor replaced some broken shingles, and re-caulked all roof vents and pipes. Provided pricing and explanations of areas where roofing would need attention in the future. Very professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

I had purchased the special $99 roof maintenance package. It was basically a roof inspection that included some minor repairs, such as caulking, etc. I pointed out to the roofing rep that I was concerned about the vent collar problem, which had been made known to me by an inspector during the purchase of the house. The rep did his inspection and confirmed the problem. He provided a verbal estimate to replace 4 vent collars along with some single tab shingles on the ridge caps. I later received a written estimate via e-mail. The repair was completed without incident by two Modern Roofing employees. Time will tell how the work will hold up. But based on the responsiveness of the company personnel and workers, I am willing to give this company an "A" rating. I believe that it is essential to keep a roof in good condition. It has been my practice to have my roof inspected annually. I will continue to do so and expect to engage the services of Modern Roofing in the future.

On time, quick work, quality materals.

Contractor came by to view the damage then scheduled the work. They were not able to arrive on the scheduled date, but they made up for it by coming on a Sunday without any extra charges. The person that repaired the gutter was very competent and had all of the appropriate tools and ladders to complete the job in a satisfactory and timely manner. I was very pleased.

They did arrive and did complete the work but very hurriedly also I talked with their supervisor and told him I was disappointed he was not on sight for I wanted a bid on my gutters and having them extended for drainage. He said he would come out later to look at them and give me a bid but I never heard for them again. But I paid for gutter cleaning and I did get gutters cleaned so that was completed as paid for.

Modern Roofing cleaned our gutters a few months ago and identified a problem with one of our vent sleeves that needed to be replaced. I set up the appointment for a Saturday. Their truck broke down that morning. Instead of canceling, Joe, the supervisor, came out in his own truck and did the job. It was great and I was thankful to have the sleeve replaced to keep it from leaking. These guys are great.

I purchased the $99 Big Deal and the service was on Saturday, 8.23.14. However, I was a bit disappointed in the professionalism of the appointment. First, after the Big Deal work was completed, I was not provided a receipt for the work that was done and had to request one be provided to me. Second, my husband and I were told that we needed additional repairs beyond what was covered by the Big Deal. We were okay with that and asked when the work could be done. Nicholas Shirley said that he would let us know if he could get someone out today. Well, he left our home without saying that he was leaving or whether he could get someone to come out that day. Additionally, he did not call us back to tell us anything; so my husband called him and left a voice mail message. No one called back, but a Modern Roofing guy showed up around 6 or 7 p.m. saying that he was there to do the work. The guy did not speak English so it was hard to communicate with him. We proceeded with having the technician do the work and paid an additional $100. This kind of service makes me question whether the work that was done on my roof was quality and professional work. I am very disappointed because I always read the other reviews before I purchase anything from a service provider. This company's ratings were satisfactory to me, but this occurrence did not exhibit such. In the end, the company refunded me my additional $100 due to the service that I had received, which was good. Would I use them in the future? Not so sure.

They came out very quickly, determined what needed to be done to fix leaks around my chimney, dormer, and fixed loose deck boards. Since the repairs were made we have had serious rain storms and there are no problems with the repairs.

They came out while I was not one. Did roof inspection and cleaned off all debris from trees.

Nick drove out to our house on Lake Conroe to give an estimate, was on time, courteous, helpful, and listened to what we wanted done instead of trying sell us on things we didn't need. Our red Mediterranean style roof had some mildew buildup which we wanted cleaned & was also in need of a few minor repairs from poor workmanship when our home was built. After a few minutes inspecting the roof, Nick gave us a fair quote & let us know he could have a crew there in just a few days. The guys showed up on the scheduled date & did a great job, completely hassle free. Our roof looks 100X better after pressure washing & the repairs look great as well. Would definitely use again & would highly recommend!

The technician called and told me he was running behind. It was not a problem for me since I stay at home. When he arrived I explained that we noticed evidence of previous and existing water damage in our upstairs cielings. He inspected the roof and in the attic and provided me with pictures of the damage. It was far less extensive than we had expected and someone was sent out 2 days later to complete the job. There was no pressure to spend money on things that were not necessary. I would definitely use modern roofing in the future if we have other issues.

They did an excellent job. This was the first time I used them. They missed the appointment the first time. But when they came back out, they were on time. They didn’t try to upsell. They worked diligently and did what they were supposed to do. There were two workers who came out and they did the job in three or four hours. There was no unexpected incident.
